  • Hi @Keith Furnell , as an update, we've added default slugs to all components imported through our Bitbucket, GitHub and GitLab apps. Additionally, slugs in the component URL is a new feature that has now rolled out to all customers if you would like to give it a try. Thanks again for all the suggestions!

  • Hi @DarrenDooley , after looking into this, I think this behavior is being caused by 2 Push event webhooks being received almost simultaneously. Would you be able to check your Organization and Repository webhooks in GitHub to see if there is some kind of duplication happening there? Please also feel free to open a Support…

  • As an update, I pushed a fix that will populate the generated compass.yml with the component slug, if the component has one. That will prevent any data loss when onboarding to config-as-code. Thanks for surfacing this!

  • Hi Keith, thanks for your suggestions! We are already working on automatically creating slugs for any components that are imported through our Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab apps, and will let you know as soon as that work is completed. I will be adding a backlog item for using slugs in the component URL.

I checked this out, and it does look like a component slug set in the UI will be overwritten if it is later synced with a config that does not have a slug present.
