Thank you @Jack Yu ! The enhancements to calendar filtering are a long time coming. :-)

@Carol Low thanks for the continued and helpful communications for these changes! I really like the suggestions made by @Yatish Madhav and @Luísa Ribeiro regarding the ability to merge fields. It would seem that the functionality there would require further discussion / exploration. I'd be happy to participate in a…

Hi @Carol Low . Quick heads-up that Support helped us file a bug with the new admin page: [JSDCLOUD-17249] Summary and Description System fields are missing from the new Field Management admin page
-
@Avinoam I see that when you add a smart button to a Confluence page, it will create a Confluence automation rule. That rule has the trigger "smart button" and can be edited once added. However, the rule cannot be copied and new rules created from scratch do not allow you to specify the smart button trigger.…

Echoing the comments of everyone else on this thread - the RBAC approach is a welcome improvement. Looking forward to seeing this roll out as GA.

@Shilpa Airi - We now have "work items" in "projects. What if we had "work items" in "workspaces"? Workspaces are where you work on your work items. This minor naming tweak would help disambiguate Confluence spaces and Jira spaces. @tradian's comment got me thinking about this...

That makes sense, @thomas_ohrbom . I had a conversation with an Atlassian this week, and this topic is very much on their radar. They weren't able to share any timing for when we could expect the functionality, but it is something they're looking at.
-
@Todd Skelton makes a great point here. Adding onto that - if the concern is that Atlassian is not implementing necessary features or listening to customers in Cloud, changing to Server / DC would likely also not yield the desired results. One common misunderstanding that I used to have and continue to see in the broader…

Hi @Marcel Hager . The Community can be extremely helpful if you have proper expectations for what you'll get here. Here's my simplified view of things: * Tech Support / Specific Product Questions - Check your AI/search engine of choice and the Community first. If you don't find the answers you need, submit an Atlassian…
-
@Avinoam this is a great feature! Thank you to you and the team for implementing. We somehow missed this announcement in the Community until this article was highlighted in a recent roundup. Are there any plans in the works to provide support for Atlassian languages in code blocks (e.g. JQL, AQL)?
-
@Elle Ky thank you for: * The clear communication * in multiple channels (e-mail and Community post) * with ample notice to prepare Greatly appreciated.
-
@thomas_ohrbom it sounds like you're keeping some really important documentation in Confluence Databases. Did you happen to come up with a way to keep that data safe given the current limitations in Databases: * [CONFCLOUD-82066] Include Database Backups in Confluence Site Backups* "Currently, Confluence site backups don't…

Great article, @Olga Cheban _TitanApps_ !

Hi @Olga Cheban _TitanApps_ . You've put together a thorough and helpful article on this topic. Did you happen to give any thought to the inclusion of "Initiatives" as the highest level in the hieararchy? https://www.atlassian.com/agile/project-management/epics-stories-themes Agile epic vs. initiative In the same way that…
-
Hi @Christina Ristevski . I'd be keen to have a discussion with you about the inability to backup Confluence databases at the site/instance level. We see a lot of promise for the feature to enable some really powerful enterprise use cases but are blocked by the lack of data protection. The Support team created this feature…
-
@Michael Fedulov the new Entra ID actions look to be quite helpful! Thank you for the update.
-
Hello, @Dhanapal Mohanasamy . This article is helpful. For future breaking changes, would it be possible to get the word out a little sooner? We just noticed this as part of the weekly cloud changes and now have less than a week to respond.
-
@Bill Sheboy this just in - Atlassian Decoder Ring will now be renamed Translation Table to be more accessible to teams of all types. :-P Jokes aside, I like the change assuming that Atlassian preserves our JQL, automation rules, etc. and does provide some sort of way to easily understand the before and after terminology.
-
@sharmashe to my knowledge there's no template workflow for a 4-step approval process. You'll need to create something custom. Four approval steps seem a bit high on the process bureaucracy scale. Sometimes this is unavoidable, but it might be worth seeing if any of those steps can be eliminated or consolidated to allow…

Yes, we know Vish. :-) I bring up the security of backups as it's often one of the main overlooked areas when folks talk about using Jira for HR purposes. It's one thing to have protections within Jira but if you need to take backups then there's also a need to secure the data stored outside of the system. Another often…

Hi everyone. I stumbled in pretty late to the party... has anyone figured this out?
-
@Mathew Lederman agree with you 100%. Assets fields > Cascading fields for the hierarchical selection use case. One annoyance is the fact multi-level asset fields do not "clean-up" selections in lower levels if the user goes back and changes selections at the higher levels. We work around that with user training but hope…
-
Hi @Prabhu Palanisamy _Onward_ . This article is helpful for outlining the tools admins have at their disposal to protect work items / data. Have you given any thought to potential protections around instance backups (which do not respect these controls)? Anyone with access to the backups would be able to access all the…
-
@Cat Africa great post. Thank you for not updating the SQL names to avoid breaking data shares. :-)
-
@Raafi Mohammed this was an unexpected but greatly appreciated feature release! I really how you brought over the power of Confluence pages to JSM help centers. The link search functionality (Request forms, Articles, Portals, etc.) is super powerful! * Is there any chance that functionality might one day be available in…
-
Fair points, @Jafran Majeau . It's usually not practical for companies to maintain multiple versions of their UI (imagine if the UI for Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows 95 still needed to be available within Windows 11). Asking Atlassian to keep the old search indefinitely is likely not going to be a successful path to…
-
@Joshua Stokes I'm wondering if maybe this is a schema design issue rather than a feature limitation? I'd generally recommend having the attributes of a given reference object (Supplier in this case) stored in the reference object's table. That way you have a single source of truth and only need to update it once. With…
-
@Tony Marek I think there may be some selection bias at play with the "99%" negative comments. It's certainly true for this article, but most of the feedback I've heard on the issue navigator experience (across an enterprise) has been neutral to positive. To be clear - there *are* certainly improvements that can and should…
-
Thanks again, @Carol Low . This has to be one of the most universally positive Community threads related to UI changes that I have seen in a long time. :-) What you described here meets our main pain point (lack of visibility in a single place): When we show team-managed fields on the page, this will include JPD fields as…
-
@Bill Sheboy great point about JPD. Would love to see all fields consolidated in one place regardless of the product that uses them.
