Funny, when I mentioned Rovo originally, didn't think AI would be mentioned in every reply (so far)! 🤣 @Amanda Barber - yesssss! We all have toolbox for handling writer's block whether we know it or not! Depends on the situation, right? I'm actually taking a walk right now to clear the cobwebs of sleep from my mind.…
-
Definitely keep an eye on the Rovo credits your organization is using - it's on my to do list to do this for the various elves I support at the North Pole. 🎅🏻 Ensuring Rovo is governed - like all our tools - means our users will be using Rovo for the right reasons, and we can scale Rovo use and costs appropriately as time…

Happy new year all! 🙌

Color governance time! "Top-level" teams will be red, and we won't use green so we don't confuse any colorblind folks... 🙃 Like others have said, we'll need more customization options for the feature to be truly valuable.

I let my phone go to voicemail. Moments later, I get a chat message: "Quick question for you!" and nothing else. Of course, this is from a VIP, so I reply... 🫠 EDIT: Whoops, I didn't realize this was supposed to be a story chain! 🫠

Awwwww, what a chew toy! If George shared that toy with another doggo, that'd be a collaborative toy 🤣
-
@Loren Siegel - Love that there's a pizza pin! 🍕 And now I know what I'm getting for dinner.
-
@Bill Sheboy - she's STILL annoyed about when the Status moved. Don't get her started on the latest navigation bar changes.
-
Holy cow, half a decade? You're a powerhouse @Jimmy Seddon ! 🐺 I'll help carry on the torch - and yes, I'm manifesting this publicly online 🤣
-
I'll start - here I am, trying to teach this kitty how Jira permissions work. (She's not interested.) FYI, that's a digital copy of Matt Doar's Jira book! Thanks to @Matt Doar _Adaptavist_ for educating the masses! 🙌
-
@Rachel Wright - What do I love more than a snippet? A library of snippets! Worth mentioning is that mileage may vary with certain queries, such as "Not resolved by the due date": * There are Jira instances that mis-use (intentionally or accidentally) status categories for one or more statuses. * Certain Jira instances may…

@Andrew Robey - event sync between Trello and Outlook isn't instant. * How long has it been since you updated the event in Trello? * Has the sync between Trello and Outlook worked before?
-
@Alfred Soeng - reach out directly to Atlassian Support. * Click Contact Us * Choose the option that starts with Billing. Hopefully they should be able to get you sorted. EDIT: Also, refer to this article, if you haven't yet! https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/reactivate-a-subscription/

For me, the perfect ticket also includes the ticket's urgency (example: High, Medium, Low), and why the urgency is present. For example: "Medium urgency, because a mid-January audit will be taking place".

What Trudy said! A view-only permissions scheme would let you query against archived Jira spaces. (Restore a Jira space, then apply the view-only permissions scheme to it.) I wonder how many Work Item Security Schemes you've got in your Jira... 🔍
-
This would be a really good Community article! #todo For sure, remove the easy ones first - anything never used. Perform a JQL query against these fields, sometimes the Site Optimizer is enthusiastic/optimistic. 😂 For anything seldomly used, try to match the field to-be-retired with an existing field. There may be fields…

Ooh, time to experiment with this feature, haven't tried it yet! 😱 I wonder what scary work items Rovo will conjure up if I share a 200-message thread with it 😂(Actual serious question)
-
I'd love to see the telemetry on how often (or not) users use board Quick Filters. 😆 I've managed SO many boards and just see the default filters... Time to encourage folks to share their most creative Quick Filters, and leave them visible all the time (if it makes sense). 🙌🏻
-
I'm not crying, you're crying! 😭 But seriously, depending on this implementation, I can see us simplifying some bespoke formula implementations AND generalizing formula usage across teams. 🤔 Okay, back to eggnog.
-
@Dylan Lenton - hi Dylan! 👋 Hopefully you made progress with this? As you might guess, certain signals are easier than to capture than others. Here's an example you can expand upon. ⚡️We're going to make an Automation rule in your project. This rule will compare the number of resolved sprint issues vs. total sprint issues,…

+1 to what Bill said! Love being able to have context on a user without having to click into their profile! Our time isn't wasted updating our profiles. 🤣😉
-
@Darryl Lee - Can't wait for MCP to interact with my sprints! I'd love to ask it how many of my team sprints are in danger of not totally fulfilling what the teams's wanted to tackle. And man, what's a project? And what's an issue? /s

Finalllllllly - will inform my customers about this functionality right away. 🙌 Every time I see a team deletion, I groan. 🥲
-
Glad Teams functionality is being extended more and more. Being able to define a multi-level team hierarchy is super helpful for teammates new and old (especially after a re-org). Agree with the suggestions mentioned already, especially being able to access team info programmatically.
-
@Peter Van de Voorde - apparently the Forum notification workers have quite the queue to digest... 😂 Will have to miss this, sadly! Maybe @Taiwo Ojo - Alluvium can go, I see him everywhere 🙌🏻
-
Aw, love that you quoted Mark! The deliberate connecting of tools, and the purposeful connecting of the work items and pages and other doodads inside provide humans with as much context as their AI assistants. Personally, I'm looking to take advantage of Goal Types (about time Atlassian provided that functionality!) to add…

@Timothy Brown - if you want to have a cascading field type of situation using Assets fields, see this article on a way to do this: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-Service-Management-articles/Using-Cascading-Fields-with-Forms-and-Assets/ba-p/2318049

@Iryna Komarnitska_SaaSJet_ - I worked with a colleague who referred to many intermediary statuses as excuses to why the work wasn't done. He wasn't a Jira admin as his main job, but he was amazing at refining processes. He encouraged me to eliminate unnecessary statuses even more than I usually do... 🤣 I appreciate the…

Professionally, I'm excited to have had time carved out to be exploring professional tools of the trade - it's nice to be able to deep dive into a Marketplace app! Personally, I got to shovel almost an entire driveway this past weekend. ⛄️

@halil_cicek - this is a better answer if everyone else on your service desk agrees to the same consistent wording to go out to users. (This template is used for ALL approval requests that go through your service desk project.) Improve the default notification that goes out to your approvers, and be clear on how soon they…
