So, in this case the best bet is to ask the authors of the plugin. Some plugins store data directly in a database and it makes it impossible to report on it using JQL. You may get to it with some BI solution such as PowerBI or eazyBI but you would need to find out what data is stored in which table etc.

Hi, I do not know the CRM plugin, but question number 1 does not look all that difficult. I assume that your customer data is stored in some fileds eg. Summary or some dedicated Custom Field eg. Customer Name. Have you tried a normal JQL query? Example: 1. Jira project key: CRM 2. Customer name: COCA-COLA JQL example:…

Thanks for the article! I am always happy when I find a tool that helps Jira to be more visual. For those interested in the story mapping method, it is also worth looking at: 1. How this works in 5 steps: https://storiesonboard.com/user-story-mapping-intro.html 2. Examples in the story mapping…

Happy to help. Please use the green button Accept Answer so others know that this solution worked for you :-)

If you want to add access to your dashboard based on project roles, you need to be a member of these role. Go to Jira project settings, people, and yourself to roles that you have configured When it is done, you will be able to select these roles in dashboard configuration

Groups in Jira Cloud are created in the User management functionality. Go to: User management / Groups. When creating a group, make sure that you are a member of this group too. Also make sure that this group has the Product access. After you create this new group in User Management, AND you are a member of this new group,…

Thanks @Merve Nur Bas I have learnt something too. To exclude overdue issues I would normally use due >= "0" AND due <= 7d but I am not sure if the the "0" means start of the day or the moment the JQL is executed. So, to be 100% sure, it is better to use startOfDay(). More about avanced search functions can be found here:…

Use the simple search engine and select your options Then, if you select the Advanced option, you will see how it translates into JQL. In my example it was: project = DMP AND due <= 7d More about comparing fields with operators can be found…

Also zuerst muß ich mein Deutsch noch verbessern. Aber 40% klingt schon interessant. Grüße.

I am not sure if that is an error but the link attached leads to a job posting for JIRA Developer and not Jira Administrator. These are two completely different types of roles and the expectation is to combine it also with Adobe technology. 2+ years experience in administering JIRA is only one of many requirements. Quite…

Thanks for enslosing the screenshots. It looks to me that you think that you use the NextGet type of project but by looking at the screenshots I am sure you are not. Number 1) - this is a configuration of classic Kanban board. The blocked status can be changed by modifying the workflow. The NextGen Kanban config is simple…

One side note from me: I was once quite surprised to learn that in NG there is no workflow design necessary as we know it from classic Jira. But the simplicy has its price - you won't be able to design variants and optional flows. Just as @Jack Brickey has replied - your workflow in NG needs to be very simple from left to…

In your ad you do not mention 'Deutschkenntnisse Nieveau' requirement. Just curious - what level of proficiency in German language do you require?
-
It all depends on the resolution screen which is 'attached' to the transition between for example In Progress and Done. It doesn't matter if you are transitioning issues using status button on the issue screen or using the Kanban board. From what you are writing, in your previous workflow the resolution screen was…

I am confident, that it is possible to create exactly the same 'generic' configuration in the Cloud as in the Server version. As soos as you deal with plugins, custom fields created by plugins and attachments things can get difficult. My limited experience with migrating to Cloud from Server is based on a few occasions…

Hi Normally I am not using NextGen projects but your question looked interesting so I did a little investigation. I created a new NextGen project and uploaded some data. Then I looked through the documetation here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/manage-and-administer-next-gen-projects-942834582.html It…

It is worth adding maybe, that according to this Atlassian Document, Windows ZIP utility should not be used but some other tool like 7ZIP is better. Thank you @Justin Alex for the tip as I could not figure out the same problem as well.

Hi Paul, I came across your post which looks like the solution to the problem that I have. My need is that I want to prevent my users from creating subtasks directly in Epics. They should only be able to link regular issues with Epics. Although generally I get the idea of your solution, however could you give me some…

I would supplement monitoring suggested by @Gabrielle Bautista [ACP-JA] with the thorough 'awareness training', explaining team leaders what is a desired practice, what is the impact if they do not follow instructions and why it is important that they should not add jira-users group to their project roles. I am sure that…

Let me share with you with one of the use cases that was presented to me about the IT Service world in JIRA. First of all, IT Service is a process, however it can be 'agilised' a bit.First of all, all work that flows into an IT department is registered in ONE project. Other service departments have their JIRA projects, eg:…

I would also be interested what is the business logic behind commenting an issue right when it is created.

From what I read so far about JIRA Core, it is assumed that so called 'business users' will use JIRA Core mainly as the workflow tool. And it is ok, as being able to design specific workflows is one of the strengths of JIRA. However, being able to visually summarise the status of all issues currently in the "flow"- and…

When I face similar challenges I find this book very helpful: JIRA 6.x Administration Cookbook One way to solve your problem is explained step by step in chapter: Making a field required during workflow transition. It is also based on ScriptRunner. However, I did not not test it so I am not sure how it works in practice.

Very interesting note. As far as I understood JIRA licensing so far, up to ver.7, it was not possible to have two JIRA instances licensed by one customer. It was only possible to deploy a single instance of JIRA in a production environment on 1 server. Now, how I understand it, one company can buy 50 JIRA Software licenses…

JIRA and Confluence integrate very well with each other. I am sure that the latest upgrade did not affect this fundamental functionality. Please review Atlassian Documentation: * Technical How-To: Integrating JIRA and Confluence * Use Cases: Use JIRA applications and Confluence together I would be interested to see the…

Page properties macro and page properties report macro are very well explained in this Atlassian video: https://youtu.be/QHo9gVeKpd4. They demonstrate how these macros work from minute 25:30.

Hello Grzegorz, If I could suggest one other thing (otherwise you will exhaust @Nic Brough [Adaptavist] completely) please have a look at a very good course in JIRA administration by Lynda.com here: http://www.lynda.com/JIRA-tutorials/Installing-Administering-Atlassian-JIRA/191943-2.htmlOnly $25 and you will save yourself…

In my opinion, in general it should be easier for Atlassian to design and implement their brand and product strategy: three distinct target groups, easier to formulate and communicate benefits, easier to manage application development. Also, from the 'not so techy' customers point of view, it should be easier for them to…
