@Jessica and @Taranjeet Singh Thank you for commenting. Glad you found this interesting.

@Alison I think that would be interesting. I might just do that. Though, my Jira skills outweigh my Trello chop. So it will take me some time to think about how'd I'd do it.

@Matt Doar I have only dabbled with Trello. What prevents me from using Trello, mostly, is the inability to filter multiple projects into one board (or filter, for that matter). I feel like I have a need to see my work across projects without having to go into one and a time. Of course, now that I write this I realize this…

Ha! Yes, @Teodora V _Warsaw Dynamics_ ... It's not scrum if you add things to the sprint, mid-sprint. Once we got on a role running scrum on our marketing team, we found pleasure in saying to me who had a request, "Our current sprint is underway, we'll put that in the backlog and plan for it in the next one." OR "OK. Our…

@Poorvi Jhawar We use Jira for all of our marketing efforts. Plan and run a webinar, podcasts, landing pages, writing e-books, redesigning the website. You are right....that Jira is not just for software developers. What you are planning in Jira now?

@Kat Warner You mentioned me two months ago.....yikes.

@Julissa Auffant My book will tell you everything a marketing team can do in Jira and Confluence. The Art of Agile Marketing: https://www.amazon.com/Art-Agile-Marketing-Implementing-Confluence-ebook/dp/B079GLKWB1 You might not need to hire a partner after you read this.

@Fabian A_ Lopez _Community Leader - Argentina_ Florida_ California_ Wow! Thanks for the mention. You will be on the podcast soon. Let's schedule that. Also, for everyone who read this far, we are always looking for guests to be on the show. So if you have an interesting story to tell... or you are otherwise doing some…

Hi Meg. I grew up in Carmichael! So now we have two things in common. Nice to meet you.

Hi all. I am not a Jira Administrator, but I am a pretty darn good project administrator. I am also an uncertified scrum master, running scrum on a marketing team. I admit I find it difficult to imagine working in a team environment without Jira. I have been attending the SF AUG since 2013.

Thanks @Fabian A_ Lopez _Community Leader - Argentina_ Florida_ California_. Not sure my book belongs in that company with those geniuses.....so extra thank you!

@[deleted] The best part of your article is near the end The demonstration was complete, the Sales team was happy, and all I could do was think, “Ah, I should have shown them how to set up Components” and, “Oh no, I could have automated some of their workflow steps to make things easier for them.” However, I had set up…

Matt, It's on Amazon. The art of agile marketing: A practical roadmap for implementing kanban and scrum in Jira and Confluence. Next time I see you at an AUG, I'll bring a copy for you.

@AJ Rahm Yes. Scrum would help you do this quite well. Take your "Brochures" Issue Type. Let's say you need to deliver that Brochure for the conference on July 31. July 31 is the deadline. But of courses you have 10 or 15 little tasks leading up to that. So, if you use Scrum, you would do something like this: * Create the…

@Jaime Capitel I can think of several reasons why a business team should use Jira Software. For one, if a business team wants to use an agile methodology, like scrum, they will need Jira Software. A lot of marketing teams, for example, are adopting agile. I wrote a book about it, arguing that marketing teams should use…
