  • Hi @Michael Rhode I hope you sort this out, but you're likely going to have to ask your former employers for help as normally anything created in a company managed / owned account, no matter what system, would be considered company property.
  • Hi @Nicola Sun In your previous post about Goal Types and Success Measures, you shared this graphic to clarify how sub-goals and success measures could roll up: This hybrid approach would be much more useful to us as the approach of only being able to use sub-goals OR success metrics means that if we have a number of…
  • Thanks for the release information @Dave Meyer I unfortunately found the changes made to the reports tab yesterday, this implementation of dashboards instead of reports is one of the worst unwanted changes I've seen in a long time, it's on a level with moving the status dropdown! I can understand that having the dashboard…
  • Have a look at scenario 4 in https://support.atlassian.com/automation/kb/how-to-update-a-select-field-multiple-from-the-content-of-other-fields/ From what you're saying this is more complex than a simple automation though; you'd have to get the results of the JQL into a format where it could be added to the other field,…
  • HI @Yatish Madhav , I haven't thought this all the way through, so it's just an idea to explore. * Create a sub-task type that includes the fields you want to capture * Create automation that triggers when any of those fields changes on your work item* Create a sub-task if no existing sub-task of that work item 'created'…
  • Hi @JiraAdmin Without knowing which application you're trying to do this in, from your name I'll assume Jira with only one choice selectable. For a company managed project, you can create your field mySelection as a Select List (Single Choice) or Radio button and manually add options for each item in your comma-separated…
  • This is just another one of those changes that we should all use the 'Give Feedback' option to express our feelings
  • As far as possible we work on the principle that if a stakeholder wants to change priorities we have no problem with that, as long as they're aware that we will stop doing something but not add in alternative project work, with the caveat that related work that has already been refined and was the next item in the backlog…
  • Hi @Andrea Fernandez , As @Mikael Sandberg said there is no right or wrong work type to use. There are various ways you can visualise this, including: * You could create new work item types for each of your task types, e.g.: Task, Feedback, etc., but this may be a bit over complicated * You can use labels and show them on…
  • My Dad is proud of the fact that he's never used social media and not sent a text for I don't know how long, he only uses email for formal communications, the phone has a curly cord, and his calendar is a physical calendar on the wall in the kitchen - technology has largely passed him by,
  • Yes, how else can our parents / grandparents get in touch with us?
  • I will definitely try out the prompt for 'your car suddenly showing kilometres instead of miles because you said something in German!', although my car is 16 years old and may not have new technology like AI or power windows
  • Hi @Chris Rainey Welcome to the group, well done for managing your Atlassian suite by yourself, and good to see that you're getting help now.
  • Hi @Chethan GR and welcome to the group!
  • Back in the days when I had a Nokia my ringtone was the Airwolf theme, in fact I now have it as my ringtone again! At one point I had my ex mother in law's ringtone as the Imperial March ...
  • Thanks for the update @Kristján Geir Mathiesen , ACP-520 Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin is one of my three missing certifications, having the opportunity to do a practice exam will make preparing for it a lot easier!
  • About 2010 the company I worked for sold off the engineering R&D side of the business to focus on the consultancy side of the business. I was meant to stay with the consulting side, but I had been managing on a project to set up production facilities for the engineering side and 18 hours before the sell off I was fast…
  • One of the teams I work with is cross functional and includes members from our engineering, marketing and digital separtments. For this team we have one shared project with 2 boards that we use daily for stand ups, reviews, etc. (we actually have 5 boards in this project space, but the other 3 are used less e.g. 1 board…
  • Hi @Sav Cent It's good to see you've found a solution, for future use you can consider using smartvalues e,g, You can then create your story and smart value: Then you can use that smart value as the parent for any subtasks you create to go with that story: And any tasks you want linked to that story can be linked using…
  • I have a Confluence page with a list of training resources for Agile Delivery Managers, created by ChatGPT and reviewed by Rovo: Note: as with all links online, use these links with care and preferably with a safe search / malicious link blocker tool Foundational AI Understanding 1. AI for Everyone – Andrew Ng (Coursera)…
  • I remember at one point wanting to be The Last of the Famous International Playboys, I blame Morrisey for that! But what I really wanted to be growing up was a demolitions engineer, I've had training with demolitions, explosively cut down telegraph poles, tested new types of det cord, and even hold certificates in…
  • Hi @Alixanne FERAUD I'm reading your request a bit differently from the others, I see it as Trigger: Work Item approved Action: If AD attribute IS EMPTY then transition to "OPEN" Else Transition to "Pending Information" For this explanation I've used status names that exist in my instance. From your description, I'd…
  • @sravani vennapusa As other have said, you can't 'assign' an issue to a group, but you can assign it to a team: Jira has functionality to create Teams that you can assign individuals to, and there is a system field 'Team' that may be available on work items by default. Once you have set up a team, which can be done either…
  • Hi @erum s There is no native "recycle bin" for deleted issues, as such deleted Jira work items are removed permanently from the database and cannot be restored directly. It's only possible to restore a deleted item if you have an existing backup file to import via the steps outlined…
  • @Rob Hean just ask them if they were polite; if they didn't ask Rovo 'how are you today?', tell Rovo that it's their friend, or say please, then Rovo may sulk and not be helpful
  • For me it was probably my first computer with internet, it may have been a slow dial up service, but all of a sudden I was able to access more of the world than ever before!
  • Thanks for your thoughts @Rob Hean , I've got to find a topic for a 'brown bag' session next week, and since we're being pushed to use AI more this is definitely relevant today, so I now have an idea for a topic I can cover in that!
  • The closest I've got to a third place is Copper Beech Cafe in Dulwich, it's actually in a sports club, JAGS Sports Club , that's attached to a local school, JAGS. Although it's attached to a Sports Club it's very much a local café, and a great place to get my morning coffee when my daughter is having her swimming lesson.
  • @Charlie Marriott seconding the request to be able to add in or update historic metrics, we've got one metric where someone in a hurry entered a wildly inaccurate value on a success measure which has been picked up in an audit, and we now have an audit action to correct that reporting value.
  • Hi @Arsheen Banu Syed Welcome to the group, and thank you for your introductory thoughts!
