Do your printers support receiving webhooks? If so you could use logic in your Jira automation to send a specific webhook based on your criteria i.e. drinks go to bar, salad goes to salad place, etc,.

Hi Vera, I'm not great at HTML either, but generally the trick I use it to actually build out an email how I want it (I use Outlook) and then send it to myself. You can view the source HTML code by navigating following the below image. You should be able to use that to build out your HTML for your automated email. I'm sure…

What is your JQL query?
-
Hello, I'm not sure I understand the question. I'm wondering if it could be related to the "Only include issues that have changed since the last time this rule was one". I believe this is checked on by default, have you tried turning this off? It will always run on ALL the items returned by your JQL query although there…

I don't think there is a "Finish Counting Time When" an agent comments on a ticket only the customer. What you could do is set a trigger so that when an agent comments on a ticket it transitions to another status and then stop counting based on that status.

Hi Edgardo! I would do the following for the automation - When an issue is commented on and the comment is the main action - Check if the ticket that was commented on is resolved - If true, then create a new issue and link the trigger issue to the most recently created issue.

Hi Anna! Welcome to the Atlassian Community! JQL has a list of reserved characters: space (" ") + . , ; ? | * / % ^ $ # @ [ ] If you wish to use these characters in queries, you need to: - surround them with quote-marks (you can use either single quote-marks (') or double quote-marks (")); and, if you are searching a text…

Hi Joanna, I would try: - Create a custom field "Does user need a computer" and assign that field to your project screen. - Create your form and map the form field to your custom value - Run the automation - When an issue is created, check the "Does User Need a computer" field, if there is a match then create a new…

If it isn't an automation that is running it could also be a trigger in your workflow that is changing the status based on the reply to customer action.

Hi Jonathan, Is the user a managed user? If so you can navigate to the admin portal then directory>Managed Accounts. You can then select the user and edit both the name and/or email address for them. If it is not a managed account you will need to go with Dan's suggestion.

This community is so helpful! Workin my way to 10 answers!

Hey Kian, thanks for the suggestion. I just tried it and after removing the merged cell it worked! It could be an annoying workaround until hopefully Atlassian can resolve this. I also added my vote to the ticket you shared. Thanks again!

Thanks Sayed, this looks like exactly what I am talking about. Seems that the transition screen has not been updated to use the "Fabric" renderer. Hopefully enough people will request this so the commenting experience is standard across all comment areas. Thanks for the insight!

This is going to be a huge time saver and will help with standardization.

I realized I posted this in the wrong section so I have added a new questions in the appropriate area.

This would be great especially with approval emails that are auto generated. Would be great to add context to the approval before it gets sent out.
-
OK so I figured it out, the field has to be set as an array so I used {{issue.customfield_10217.value.asJsonArray}}
-
Thanks for your answer @Mikael Sandberg This solution worked for me as well!
-
This was way simpler than I was making it out to be! This worked perfectly for my use case!

Also if there is a different/better way to manage schedules i.e. lunch breaks, PTO, etc, I'm all ears (or should I say eyes...)

Great point! In this instance particularly we are dealing with several types of attachments (.jpg, .pdf, .doc, etc) and there are a few things I need to do to those attachments before they land in Jira. For PDFs I'm using AI in the power automate flow to extract data points for custom fields like dates and standard…

I really like this way of doing it as well actually, it makes it so I don't have to append the # of attachments in the summary field keeping it cleaner. Issues come into this project only via email so I shouldn't have an issue with issues being created by agents or in the portal. Thanks for the help!

interesting, I guess I didn't have to create the variable after all, just plug in the smart value. Thanks!
-
OH MY GOODNESS! I realized what I was doing wrong immediately after I posted this! I ended up creating a variable with the {{issue.reporter}} and using that to set the approver.
-
This was helpful thank you! I ended up surrounding the # with * and used this expression to extract: {{issue.summary.substringBetween("*","*")}}
-
This is exactly what I was needing, I can't believe I didn't find this before! Thank you so much for the help!
