I found more information when turning on DEBUG in the log I see it is running this query: ( {fixVersion in unreleasedVersions()} OR {fixVersion is EMPTY} ) Why does it need an unreleased version for FixVersion?!? Is there a way I can turn that off?
-
Yes I up-voted the answer as the answer was clear and concise. However, I only click it as answered when the answer is actually what we need. The problem is that Jira does not point to the correct GIT record. Your solution was not to put the wrong one in there in the first place, which really doesn't help as the wrong one…

When that happens to me on Linux I run: # ps -ef |grep java conflue+ 20400 1 1 12:24 pts/0 00:00:16 /opt/atlassian/confluence/jre//bin/java -Djava.util.logging.config.file=/opt/atlassian/confluence/conf/logging.properties -Djava.util.logging.manager=org.apache.juli.ClassLoaderLogManager -Djdk.tls.ephemeralDHKeySize=2048…

We switched to Git and no longer use Fisheye/Crucible, so we are just using the code review as part of Git. Yes at the time I implemented something close, but since we haven't used it in over a year, and I do not recall much about it. I would follow Sigge's recommendations above or re-ask the question to the forum. Best,…

Ignore the "edit the jira.sh" That is a personal preference just add the arguments on the command line.
-
Yes, what I did is to edit the jira.sh and put the server and password parameters in there as not to share those. --server https://myjiraserver.mydomain.com:8090 --user MyUser --password 'MyPassword' The server is the URL for your Jira site. And then a user and password that you wish to log into with. I have changed mine…

I went in and reinstalled from CD and it created yet another user "confluence3" and worked fine. Then I went in and remapped the original $home after doing a chown -R confluence3:confluence3 $home. That uses the original database as it is defined in the cfg.xml and it worked. init Confluence is ready to serve Still don't…

Thank you so much for helping with this. I do not understand the need to do #1 as it is defined in #2 which is no longer findable. I did the top 3 and 3 had the same results, tomcat start and then nothing. It did not create a new $HOME directory. I cannot reinstall confluence from CD as the whole reason for doing this is…
-
I have checked the permissions and ownership that was my first thought as well. The confluence.home points to where it always has. What I am trying to do is to create a sandbox to test the upgrade before production. I have done this 100 times before, I copy the database, install, and home directory, then change ownership…

I am sure there is but would have to play. Right off I would try: ! (issue.getAttachments().find {it.filename} )

Thanks I finally got it going. It was my rsync of the server it did not happen corectly. Which is strange as I redid it multiple times, but must have just made the same mistake each time.

Turns out the solution was to change the date on the advanced settings page: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Advanced+Settings

I wish someone could point me where to look on this, I may ask support....
-
Great Idea! unfortunately the restore of #2 died with Java errors. Not looking good.
-
Hi Betsy, been there and had to undo much of what the "experts" did. Thanks but no thanks.
-
Yes #2 is production (scary right), long story before I hired on. I may try the CVS imported if above doesn't work. Thanks!
-
NM Yes that is how I back it up. FOr both #1 and #2.
-
For #2? #1? or both?

Wow! I have not even seen Behaviors before (we were on the old free version, but are upgrading to 7.2 so I just upgraded it)! Feel the power Thank you, this is awesome!!!
-
I have script runner and can script I am just not sure how to allow or disallow a field to be set.
-
Looks like it is fixed in 7.2
-
Agreed this sounds like a simple thing to add, I will bring up as improvement request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-61008 Please upvote it.
-
I also tried it on a less complicated one that was only required on a transition (no script for the validator) and still no star. I really do not know js enough to know why...
-
Wow Jobin, very cool. Though neither your javascript nor Jamie's work for me. I copied and pasted directly into my custom field's description, and then changed the customfield number to match mine and no luck. here is the code I added: <script type="text/javascript">…

Agreed Nic. a hundred and eleventy twelve lol never heard that one before. Just pointing out why someone might not want to add a validator. And Joe, I cannot dump my users as that is my customer, but I can tell them hey that is just the way it is, live with it. Yeah it is so minor that I will not even create a change…
-
The only difference between a validator and a required field is that you get a red * on fields that are required in a regular way. When using a validator it does not show a red *. I agree that this is a minor thing, but my user base has complained about it to me, that it is inconsistent. I explained that the red dot means…

Doesn't work for me. Fails every time no matter how many fix versions are there: 1, 0, 2...
-
Thanks. On their website they say to just use jdvp, but both cannot hurt..

Actually upon further review I noticed that the board I was seeing bad performance in had equally if not worse performance on the production server. So though I do not believe 7.2 was anything about performance, I am seeing acceptable throughput.
-
Hi Vickey, good information thank you very much! I have heard things on performance, but those were related to working on add-on development (https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/40349345). Where I see slowness is loading the kanban boards, and my sandbox server is standalone and only has me working on it, so that…
