We use BigPicture / BigGantt from softwarePlanet to track dates and milestones. we use the same filter as our agile boards which included the fixVersion from multiple projects. we use issues for milestones and link them all to end together. Therefore, when one project fixversion date moves out, all of the fixVersion dates…

still no love from Vendor....
-
Yes we do have a reverse proxy in place.
-
is this causes by having multiple directories? We have an internal Confluence directory where the Confluence-user group is stored, we later switched to use JIRA (external managed directory) to manage our confluence users. the groups that are missing seem to be groups located in Confluence local user database.
-
Could you also change the Global permissions in Confluence to use the JIRA User group as the group to grant access?
-
I assume that he means automatically.
-
you need to have permission to add watchers to the issue. review your permission scheme for the project and verify if you have the permission.
-
I would love to see HipChat be able to do some of these features... until then thanks for the ideas!

you can create your SLA's based on JQL similar to quick filters. Each project or service desk can have its own SLAs. you can also have multiple types of SLAs. for example, we use the Following Time to First Response (our Triage process) Time to Assign (when the ticket gets picked up Time to Resolution (when it is done)…

To add a version to an epic, simply edit the epic. If the fixVersion is missing check with your admin to see if it is part of your screen scheme.
-
If your project leader has the manage sprint permission and still cannot close the sprint, you have other users that are able to close the sprint search for all issues in the sprint. they may be able to see what issues are in another project that is preventing the project leader from closing the sprint.

It seems like Service Desk add-on didn't start after Jira Restart. I would like to clear plugin caches and increase time for waiting plugins to start. This procedure requires restart of the instance.

I am using multiple components on an issue. I want to only show a selected list of components on the graph. currently I pull back 75 components in my list but I only want 5 of them to show up in my report.

Your Dashboard has permissions and shares your Filters have permissions and shares and your projects have permission and shares. To Make your dashboard available to everyone, you will need to make sure your project permissions are correct (set JIRA user group to user role based on default permissions), for each of your…

if the board's filter is not shared, the user cannot see issues within the other boards. when creating boards, limit the filter share to users that you would like to have access to the board. look under the board's configuration of 'General and filter' to adjust the share settings.

without plugins, users can create a separate workflow for each issue type and place conditions on who can create the issue. if you have scripting plugins installed, you can write a script to check the conditions / validations to determine who can create issues.
-
this is great but the our concern is that we want to check if Custom field ""Demo Text Field" content changed when the issue was updated or changed. could you do me the extra step and let me know how I can check current value vs. previous value? Thanks in advance!!!!
-
We are wanting to capture this information when a field is updated on the create and edit screen

maybe use sprints as weeks, and let the data roll over. while you are not doing scrum, this will build the cadence to provide forecasting. you can use issue count for forecasting. this can be accurate is the units of work are similar in size.
-
The resolution field needs to be set for the line to strike thought the issues (considered done) and the issue needs to be in the far right column. if you are using the simplified work flow click the set resolution checkbox.
-
Already tried to reindex, however it did not work. ... I guess that would have been helpful information to include!
-
PS>>>> with Script Runner
-
does anyone know how to do this with Script Runner?
-
Issues that have a resolution set have that strike through line in the Project Key. If you reopen an issue and the workflow did not clear the resolution, the issue will be still active, but since the resolution was not cleared out, the system still considers it resolved.
-
Your Agile board and the reporting of that board are tied to your filter. if removing issues from the Sprint causes the issues to be removed from the filter results, they will not appear in the reports. If you are talking about Rolling Stories over from one sprint to the next, leave the issues in the sprint, when the…

Since: Users no longer have the ability to edit Rank fields on the JIRA 'View Issue' page. The only way that 'Rank' fields can be changed is by drag-and-drop ranking on one of GreenHopper's boards. * This change is a result of the switch to global ranking which means that ranking is no longer confined to just one project,…

Not that this solves your problem, but we replaced our jira-user group with multiple organizational groups. these smaller groups limit the impact of adding the groups to the project user roles and mass spamming. I agree that it would be awesome to be able to block the use of certain groups. In my Development's team backlog…

anyone who has "Assignable user" permission can be assigned an issue in the project. anyone who has "Assign User" permission can assign users to issues within the project. Note: a user does not have to have the browse permission to be assigned issues. if you assign a user who does not have the browse permission, they will…

If you are looking for a MS Project flavor within JIRA, I really like BigPicture from software Planet. I recommend looking to see if this is more along the "traditional" approach you are looking for. http://bigpictureplugin.com https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/eu.softwareplant.bigpicture/server/overview
