You can assign users to groups, then assign those groups to spaces to grant permissions. However, the group itself doesn't have any particular rights or permissions. You can assign a group to one space with a particular set of permissions, then use it in another space with different permissions. However, by default your…

There are a couple of approaches you could try, but the easiest is probably the Style macro. Note: It requires a knowledge of CSS and that you are comfortable applying a manual override to Atlassian's styling. This won't add a new style to the text editor, but would allow you to apply what ever styling you like to some…

Exactly what kind of files are you sharing and are they for internal access only or with external users? However, in general terms you have a few options: * Bump up to a tier with 500+ users, so you can access 50GB of storage * Combine Confluence with Google G Suite (aka Google Apps) - integrate with single sign-on and…

I agree - it can be worth considering this, even if deleted content ends up in the trash first it avoids confusion. In my experience there are very few occasions that content in a wiki needs to be deleted anyway.
-
If this has already happened and you want to know about a specific page, then you could try asking Support to check if the logs they can access have more detail about who deleted it. But if this is a general request about knowing who has deleted a page, then this should be possible using a custom webhook that is triggered…

You might be able to hide some of those elements using the CSS macro. Otherwise you'll need to develop a custom macro.

Good to hear you worked out what the issue was

You might be better off raising a support ticket with Atlassian about this. Assuming that feature has been configured correctly, there are some known prerequisites for this work - have a look at this page and scroll down to the Configuration matrix:…

It might be worth bearing in mind that pages and attachments are versioned and if actually deleted completely by a user, they end up in the space's trash first - the space admin can restore this content. You can also use permissions to control the ability to delete content in the first place. However, if you do want to try…

Have you seen this FAQ about data storage (and backups) on Atlassian Cloud? https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/data-storage-faq-744721620.html
-
Atlassian support have confirmed that the documentation for this feature in Cloud is incorrect. You can not add or remove groups or individuals through this Global Permissions page, although you can edit some of the specific permissions assigned to those groups or anonymous. You don't have full control of this because…

Now I realise what the issue is, I've raised a support ticket with Atlassian as well.

That's just where you set global permissions to the default system groups. In Cloud, user groups are managed in a special user management and billing tool. If you can't find it, you can it directly via https://YOUR-SUBDOMAIN.atlassian.net/admin/groups (replace YOUR-SUBDOMAIN with your site's sub-domain)

Its sounds like you are trying to replicate SharePoint Online functionality with Confluence. That works for SharePoint because document libraries essentially work like folders and files. However, in Confluence each attachment is associated with a wiki page - while a page acts like a folder, its a different approach to…

Although WebDAV isn't available in Cloud: Due to changes to our Atlassian Cloud infrastructure, it's no longer possible to view or manage pages and files in Confluence Cloud using WebDAV. https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/configuring-a-webdav-client-for-confluence-724765538.html

You could try archiving the other spaces, but no-one will see content from them in search results.

User Macros are a feature available in Confluence on-premise. In Confluence Cloud you create custom macros (and other custom functionality) using the Atlassian Connect framework.
-
You can give Anonymous (non-logged in) users the ability to make comments, but they can't like.
-
No problem. Confluence Cloud's security model does make it more difficult, but the upside is that its more secure BTW you might like to join this mailing list https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/atlassian-connect-dev

You need to install a private add-on into Confluence Cloud, just as you would install a 3rd party add-on from the Atlassian Marketplace, but that's the easy bit - based on your description, it would just be an add-on descriptor. When you install the add-on, it triggers an installation handshake that generates the shared…
-
You can, but you external site would need to do this using JWT https://developer.atlassian.com/static/connect/docs/latest/concepts/authentication.html For client-side apps running in the browser, the all.js script creates the bridge to between your Confluence Cloud instance and your add-on. It won't work outside of…
-
This should be possible now, as SAML support has recently been introduced to Confluence Cloud https://confluence.atlassian.com/purchasing/saml-single-sign-on-for-atlassian-account-860002668.html Two Factor Authentication can then be supported by using a third-party identity provider - e.g. Google, Azure Active Directory,…

Do you have a multiple page property macros containing the exact same property fields? e.g. two or more "Target release" fields on the same page? If that's the case, I think the report will only show the first set it encounters. You see the same thing if you place a table with more than two rows into the page property…

Can you provide a screenshot to show how you have configured the page properties and the report macros?

This would require custom development of some sort. Also have a look https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.swift.confluence.cli/cloud/overview

Have you read this https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/site-backup-and-restore-163578.html? Depending on the size or anticipated size of your Confluence instance, different strategies may need to be taken. Note: This doesn't apply to Confluence Cloud. Read this…

The documentation for Cloud is out of date / incorrect for this feature. See Why don't I see "Grant browse permission to"?
-
The Copy Page Tree add-on is useful for this: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.nurago.confluence.plugins.treecopy/server/overview
-
You need to configure the Global Permissions to grant anonymous access, but this will also make your content public (unless you are using with JIRA Service Desk). See https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/global-permissions-overview-724765488.html
