That's not normal Confluence behaviour - can you post an example of a link you shared that is now broken and the current correct URL of the page?
-
In most cases you should be able to find them simply by searching for the filename (including the extension) - but don't filter just for attachments, you are actually looking for where the filename appears within a page, comment, or comment.
-
The Page Tree Macro also has an option to limit search within the selected page tree.
-
In terms of landing/orientation pages, there are plenty of user macros (and also other paid add-ons) to help you achieve this, but in part it depends on how you have structured your site and content. Have you looked at the RefinedWiki Theme add-on for example? Creating a master index of all content is slightly more…

If you goto the Page Information, there is "Tiny Link" that looks something like https://yourdomain/x/AwA-Ag

Confluence Cloud has a new UI. From https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/new-navigation-and-a-new-look-for-confluence-881536766.html#NewnavigationandanewlookforConfluence-faq Where's the page tree I used to see in the sidebar? When you're in a space, click Pages in the sidebar to reveal the page tree (or the icon if…

You could try using WebDAV https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/use-a-webdav-client-to-work-with-pages-200704169.html
-
No problem!
-
To limit to personal spaces, you could also add a check to see if there is an ~ in the space name.
-
@Gregory Van Den Ham exactly - risk isn't absolute. @Rob Horan have you checked Atlassian's JIRA to see if anyone has raised this as an enhancement before? And if not, have you requested it?

See https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/How-to-find-pages-in-Confluence-space-with-no-label/qaq-p/263864 Just try putting the following in the search box: type:page NOT labelText:[a TO z]
-
I don't believe this is possible through configuration - as you have probably already found, a user always has full space permissions in their personal space, even if you try to remove them. However, if you are using Confluence server, you could try adding some javascript to the Custom HTML option in Confluence…

There is a list of Confluence URLs here https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/confluence-url-list-317949394.html Personal spaces aren't one of them, so I don't know how you would do this without a macro or some other customisation. There is only a static link to the current user's profile. BTW not sure how the people and…

Have you looked at the Linking Plugin? https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/net.customware.confluence.plugin.linking/server/overview
-
There is some guidance here on options for copying spaces: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-copy-or-rename-a-space-in-confluence-169578.html You can then mark the space as "archived": https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/archive-a-space-284368719.html

Because you are in the confluence-admin group, those page restrictions have no effect on you. But once you restrict viewing of a page, they won't see it in the sidebar, search results or anywhere else. It doesn't matter if you set them when the page is created or later. I'd suggest checking those restrictions using another…
-
If those page restrictions are set, then security trimming in Confluence will mean other users who don't have explicit access granted won't see the link or be able to access the content. Note: On server, any members of the default confluence-administrators group can see all content. Are you a member of that group?
-
What updates are they seeing? Unless they have access to something they shouldn't see updates as they are security trimmed, so they won't even know it exists.
-
By default, you are probably using the 'confluence-users' permission group to grant users access to spaces. This group is also applied to all users of Confluence to give them access to the application (and in cloud, you can't change this configuration, only control if they can create a personal space and create spaces. You…
-
Its not always ideal, but you could try adding it as custom header for the space via Space Tools > Look and Feel > Header and footer? You haven't said what version of Confluence you are using, but it should work in cloud and on server.
-
Sorry, I don't believe that's possible and can't imagine it being solved, as would need to deal with issue like potientially different permissions on the included pages and also concurrent editing.
-
Yes, as long as you want to link to the current version of the page.
-
Great suggestion Robert - don't worry about being biased!
-
Ok, so a bit like the Undefined Page Links functionality? If you are on premise, you could try the Linking Plugin, but like an undefined page link I think each row's link would need to be pre-defined to create the link relationship. You might be able to do something with either the Reporting add-on (on premise only) or…

See this past question for a possible solution for Confluece server. However, I'm not aware of an equivalent solution for cloud right now.
-
This isn't possible with the out of the box macros. You could use the Children Display macro to show the page exists, once they have created it (assuming they don't move the new page). Can you explain more about the actual use case?
-
It takes a couple of steps. From the "Restricted Pages" tab (Space Tools > Permissions > Restricted Pages") click on either of the unlocked padlock icons (it doesn't matter which one). You will then be taken to the Page Information page for the restricted page. There should be a "Page Permissions" panel - click the…

Have you looked at Flow Board? https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/net.artemissoftware.confluence.flowboard.FlowBoard/server/overview A free add-on available for Confluence server only.
-
In theory, yes - but it may not be a simple "point and click" solution. Atlassian provide an open sourced tool for migration, but they don't support it: https://migrations.atlassian.net/wiki and here are the notes about MediaWiki specifically https://migrations.atlassian.net/wiki/display/UWC/UWC+Mediawiki+Notes I'm…

The only way I'm aware you could do this is through page permissions, but that would lock down the whole page - including all the tasks on it - to a specific user or set of users. It might be fiddly, but you could create a single page per task (with page permissions) and use the Page Properties Report Macro to pull them…
