awesome :) yes that feature is a bit hidden

Hi, just to be clear no data is lost when you rename a type. If you go to the connection field and make it point to the new type name, everything is immediately back where it was @Corey K (all the connections between ideas show exactly as before). The same happens if you rename the type back to what it was.

Update: it's a bug for spaces/projects that are using a different language than English. We're on it!
-
Okay we found what's up! It looks like it's only happening in JPD spaces/projects that are not on the English language for some weird reason. We'll fix this! Thanks for reporting this.

Sorry not sure if you will receive a notification unless I mention you @Tatiana Torset . See question above (I checked, and I was wrong: it's supposed to work)
-
Hi all, this is something we're going to look into in one of the next iterations of the feature - but it's not supported today.
-
That's what I just tried
-
hmmm nevermind, my bad: it looks like it should already be deployed to everyone. I just tested and it works for me. Could you please raise a support ticket? tell them Tanguy Crusson from the JPD team asked you to create this ticket so we can investigate a problem on your site, and that we require site access. We'll figure…

Hi @Tatiana Torset , yes we've only super recently build support for connection fields in Published views. It's not rolled out yet but coming soon (this month)
-
Hi @Christian Schmücker , it's hard to tell if the set up is not working here because "projektziel" is in the future (Nov 2025). What happens if you change it to September 2025?
-
Ah ok, it's easy then: we don't support grouping by "short text" field. You should create a select/multi-select field for that instead.
-
Gotcha - no that should definitely work, here's a demo: https://www.loom.com/share/a1b11e6d19044a9ab2a0b281aae892c9?sid=bbac8bbe-2299-4dd1-9949-4892adf0dba9

What is "a custom field from 'Fields'"? I'm a bit lost here 😅
-
Hi @Jaderson , I'm not sure I understood your question: did you try this feature, from any view?
-
Thank you @Katrin Erhardt - I think I understand better how you operate now 👍 I can't think of a way to enforce this in the system today, we'd need to create a separate permission for "creating ideas inline" that you can turn off. We'll definitely consider it but I can't make any promises right now (and definitely not for…

Hi, this can happen in one scenario: That's what you're trying to add an email for someone who doesn't have an Atlassian account, and their email domain (@company.com) has been claimed by their company (so any account from that domain can only be created centrally by an admin at this company). In that case the only way I'm…
-
That makes sense, thank you. Would you want this experience (disabling inline creation for ideas) to apply to everyone including IT, or just business people? Do you use a single project where the business suggests ideas and IT prioritizes them or do you have one project for intake processes, and one for prioritization?
-
Jira doesn't support the concept of creator vs contributor - to see Jira tickets you need to be a licensed user, and have access to the delivery project.
-
Hi @Katrin Erhardt , it's not possible to turn it off today - there are a few different parts of the UI where creators can create ideas inline. Can you please tell us more about why you need this? Thanks!
-
Hi @Tatiana Torset , you are sharing screenshots from 2 different experiences here: * The first one, with 2 visible tabs, is from the published view (the link you get from the "publish" dialog) * The second one, with more tabs, is from the project in JPD. From published views you can only see delivery progress but not the…

Hi, for the list view what you should do is: * First, make sure you have a connection field for both "Iterations" and "Ideas"* You have one for "Iterations" already * If you don't have one for "Ideas": create a connection field, called "Ideas", pointing to the type "Idea" * Then, in the list view: * Filter: type =…

I confirmed with the team: both will be fixed in the next few weeks.
-
Hi @Jena Miller : we're currently reworking the filtering functionality for connections as part of the work to take it out of beta - I'm checking with the team about these issues and will get back to you tomorrow
-
Thank you @Kate - those are not on the roadmap currently but we'll consider them when we revisit these features.
-
Gotcha @Victor Orantes - yes when you update the timeline view it uses the granularity that's set up in the view (monthly, or quarterly). The only way to have discrete dates instead (e.g. 17 March) is to do it via the date field in the idea, or in the list view. A potential workaround, if you want all ideas to only work…

Hi all, that took long enough, but that's it, you can now rename or delete the "Idea" type!
-
It's done - finally !
