Ok indeed it was a bug, the fix should be deployed this week!
-
Thanks for reporting this. This looks like a bug. We're looking into it!
-
Hi @Tim Sanford we aren't able to reproduce 🤔 Would you mind raising a support ticket so we can investigate on your site? Or just send a screen recording (e.g. Loom) of your experience to tcrusson@atlassian.com ?
-
Hi @Will McArthur , I've asked the team working on Roadmaps to confirm if date syncs work there. I think (could be wrong) it was working but there's a bug they're fixing, but I'd need them to confirm
-
Hi, I'm not sure you're supposed to use asJsonStringArray here: "fields": { "customfield_17735.asJsonStringArray": "triggerIssue.customfield_18495.asJsonStringArray" (but also: I think you may want to ask in the community group dedicated to Automation, we're not experts for it here)
-
Hi @Freyr Gudmundson I wouldn't say that's "by design" but it's a current limitation - we need to add support for the project start date, it only supports target dates today.
-
All the views you have in standard (list, board, matrix, timeline) are staying there. The "Product Roadmap" you have in the default project configuration (whenever you create a new JPD project) is a board view.
-
that's actually incorrect: we're not removing anything from Standard. We're adding a NEW Roadmap tab that lets you create "cross-project views", views with ideas from multiple projects. The naming might be confusing
-
Hi, yes we're almost done building this one. I'll share back when it's ready!
-
Hi @Miriam Karlin , That's not supported currently. You can only view those directly in the idea. You can create a field of type "Short text" and add it to views, but it'll have a limit of 255 characters.
-
Yes - just register and you'll get access to the recording.
-
Correct, that's what the Roadmaps feature is about in the Jira Product Discovery Premium plan
-
@Gary Spross and @Linda Kurtz It actually does copy the views, but not the project access or custom roles yet. The ideas won't be copied over.
-
Hi @Trevor Adams this is how we do it in the Jira Product Discovery team: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/product-discovery/resources/handbook/feedback-and-insights
-
Haha indeed! Yes, we still need to get to this 👍
-
Hi @Dave LIAO , you can delete and rename them - as in it won't break anything - but they will be re-created as-is the next time someone opens a Jira Product Discovery project. We need to do some cleanup here to rename them and see if we can make them locked
-
Hi Loic, yes you can create different workflows for different types, no need for premium for that. When you make changes to the workflow and save, it asks you if you'd like to apply these changes to all types or a single type.
-
Thanks for the feedback @Thorsten Kamann - I don't have dates to share yet.
-
+1 - you can also find examples here in the Discovery handbook (look at the "prioritization" section): https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/product-discovery/resources/handbook/introduction
-
Hi @emily.scheer yes you can use bulk edits to set the type of ideas (from a list view: bulk select ideas > change the type) and set connection field values (list view > bulk select ideas > set the value of a connection field) From the FAQ: how can I bulk edit ideas? You can do that by selecting ideas in a list view (via…
-
@Emily Nash it should be back to working for you now. Can you please confirm? It's because of a performance optimization we made, which broke this particular feature. We'll fix it and re-enable that for you when that's done (the perf improvement)
-
Thanks for letting us know!
-
Yes, and here's more details about the feature: Roadmaps/cross-project views
-
Okay, we found what the problem is, we're working on a fix, it should work in a day or two
-
Hi @Emily Nash , we're looking into it, thanks for reporting this
-
Hi @Tanya , that's weird - we weren't able to reproduce that 🤔 Could you please raise a support ticket? (in JPD > give feedback > "get help from the support team"). We might need access to your site to see what's up. It could be unique to your site's Jira's base configuration.
-
@Mirko Grahnert long story short: we don't know yet. what's your hierarchy?
-
Hi, yes it's a bug! should be fixed tomorrow or the day after
-
Hi! we now have a new answer for this if you're using the Premium plan of Jira Product Discovery - you can use it to manage discovery tasks: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/New-manage-discovery-tasks-in-JPD-needs-the-Premium-plan/ba-p/3044161#M3421
