Hey @Chris Jones Yes user needs access to the Jira instance and will need to be logged in to see the data. The user would also require permission to see the scope of issues. Any projects / issues the user doesn't have permission to will not be visible to them in the confluence macro.

Hey @tùng ơi , I'm a PM on Portfolio for Jira Server. We've been designing a solution for implementing this feature to quickly create project releases when you create a CPR in Portfolio 3.0. We'd be interested to have a quick call with you so we can validate whether our solution resolves your needs for this. If you're…

Hey Daniel, Good question. Thanks for providing background on what you're trying to achieve. It sounds like you're looking for a way to understand your capacity allocations at a high level, across multiple teams. Unfortunately this isn't a use case we currently support. Portfolio is only measuring the team's or…
-
Hey Renni, You can view sprints in the timeline via the 'View settings'. First group by Team then enable the Capacity view. For each team group you'll see the associated sprint intervals, as well as the capacity of assigned work in each of the sprints. Hope this helps, let me know if you've any questions. We'd love to hear…

Hey Shilpa, The version we're describing is referring to Portfolio for Jira, which is an add-on for Jira. The latest version of this is currently 3.4.0. 7.12.3 is the number for your Jira version. If you have Portfolio for Jira installed on your instance you can check your version using the (?) icon in the Jira header >…

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your details. Fortunately it sounds like you've managed to avoid this issue. Please let us know if you encounter any issues.

Hey Jessica, Thanks for letting us know that you're not experiencing the same issue. In our investigations we've found Mac handles the memory leak a little smarter than Windows. In windows the browser typically crashes but on MAC it seems to drop the memory when it reaches your machine's physical limit. It could be that…

Hey @Nune King , Sorry for not getting back to you earlier and additional apologies because it looks like I was mistaken with the release number. Roll-up values is available in 2.26 however it's hidden behind a dark feature so isn't available by default. We actually publically released 'roll-up' values in 2.27 outside of a…
-
Hey Nune, The Roll-up functionality is available in the New experience but not enabled by default. It's also a fairly recent addition which requires version 2.26+ of Portfolio. You'll be able to enable the roll-up via the view settings dropdown in the plan. Hope this helps. Cheers,

Hey Tamas, My name’s Rhys, I’m a PM on Portfolio for Jira Server. I’m not too familiar with the whole host of MS project functionality but I’m happy to discuss the functionality you desire and whether or not they are included with Portfolio, or planned to be delivered in future scope. Firstly, are you using Jira in cloud…
-
Hey @Alexander S., Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're continuing to implement new ways to filter and view for different needs. We're currently working on much of the the functionality you've requested. Namely: * Viewing sprints in the timeline when viewing teams will provide you the context of your sprint dates as…
-
Hey @Mikael Witt, Thanks for sharing your issues with the new experience. We currently don't have the functionality to use other date fields with the new experience timeline. We intend to introduce more custom field into the new UI but custom date is not likely to arrive before our GA release. The date fields we use in…

Hey Arne, I’m Rhys, a Product manager on Portfolio for Jira Server. The Jira Roadmap functionality is only planned to ship to the next-gen concept of Jira Cloud and won’t be coming to Server. Alternatively, Jira Server has been enhancing the functionality in Portfolio for Jira to provide new roadmapping functionality that…
-
Hey Yen, Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly you want to prevent the Scheduling output from calculating issues into certain fix versions - which happens when there’s free capacity in your release to add more work and you’ve issues not assigned to a release. Unfortunately the functionality you’re looking for…
-
Hey Dania, Thanks for the question. If I understand you correctly, you'd like to be able to create issues at any of the 5 hierarchy levels without first having to associating/linking it with another level. Please correct / clarify if I've misunderstood. You can still create issues i.e at the third level via the issue type.…
-
Hey again @darianah, Yes. In the example you've provided Portfolio will build a roadmap and allocate tasks to the correct resource based on their skill. i.e only John and/or Jack will be assigned to Tasks 3, 4, 5 while only Sam and/or Eva will be assigned to Tasks 1, 2. Note that Portfolio may assign multiple people to a…
-
Hey Dariana, Firstly just a quick note: skills & stages features are quite advanced features and we generally recommend that you understand how Portfolio’s algorithm works outside of stages & skills before jumping into it. If you’re feeling confident with your understanding of how calculations work then for your use case I…
-
Hey @Gal Zhovnirovsky - From your screens it looks like the reason for this is that no issues are assigned to Team 2 - all 3 stories are assigned to Team 1. To fix this you can either assign at least one issue to Team 2 or to Team 2's sprint (a sprint would first need to be created on the team's board).

Hi Avishay, Unfortunately holidays cannot be set at a global level for the entire instance. The highest level you can set such exceptions is at a plan level. In your plan go to the configuration > Working hours and days. From here you can set the Non-working days which will apply for everyone in that plan. Cheers, Rhys

Hey Steven, The community page and the documentation page you've reference both direct to instructions regarding our older Classic plans. It sounds like you're using our more recent (and much improved) live plans. In live plans new issues or changes to issue data will automatically be brought into your plan upon…

Hi Tuan, Branden's response is accurate for Portfolio Classic plans however it sound like you're using Live plans since you mentioned you sourced a board. To have the team member in your Live plan to update as the assignee on the JIRA issue there are a couple things to make sure: * In your plan config set the 'Issue…
-
Hey Colin, thanks for bringing this to our attention - the behaviour you've described is certainly not expected. The first thing that comes to mind is that the issue sources in your plan somehow don't pull in those issues, either due to board filter or explicit exclusion of the stories' release. Could you please create a…
-
Hey David, The setup you describe should work. I've tested out the scenario you described in my instance and Portfolio scheduled both sprints into the one release: image2016-7-5 11:31:55.png Could you please provide more specific detail for your setup so I can investigate why it's not working for you? Also make sure that…

Hey Karey, Thanks for providing detail on your issue. From the process you've described the Big rocks and Themes should be available in your plan. We're not able to figure out why this is happening from the information provided. Could you please create a support request here so our devs can investigate and track your…

Hey Mark & Nicole - (unsure why I can't @mention Nicole) Are you positive you're receiving the project limit warning message? We also have an issue loading limit of 5000 issues. More info about that here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/39140034 If this you're indeed receiving project limit warnings with much fewer…

Hi, The maximum amount of projects you can source into your Portfolio plan is 100.

Hi Erik,This error indicates you're trying to assign an an issue to a sprint that isn't associated with the selected team's board. I’m not able to diagnose how you encountered this particular issue from the information you’ve provided. Could you please clarify how you’re trying to assign the issue to the sprint? Cheers,Rhys
