Hi! Are you creating Jira tickets from emails by connection Jira to a mailbox? Jira will always delete the emails it processes.

@Florent Baret @David Shaw Thanks! Setting the parent via the API seems to work indeed :-)

Hello! My name is Charlie, I work as a consultant specilized in Atlassian tooling. I have seen many projects and customers in my carreer so far. Some trying to adopt agile, some pretending they are agile. And even some doing a great job at agile. I had my first real-life experience with SAFe on a recent project I now left.…

@Michelle Melancon thanks for sharing Atlassian's view on my concern. I really appreciate it. I will definitely bring up Jira Align as a solution for mature SAFe organizations.

Hi @AYDIN HOMAY No that's not possible I'm afraid. The icon you see is built-in functionality because of the thight integration between Jira and Confluence. There is no way to configure what the icon will do. I don't think there is any plugin that offers this functionality either.

Hi @Chetan Krishna Sai Naidu/Jira-Admin That's not possible. Cloning is not a separate permission in Jira. All you can do is restrict the creation of issues (at the project level) May I ask why you want to do this? Cloning is not more than creating a new issue with the same values as the original issue. Users would still…

I have the same question as @Michaël Droz-dit-Busset Will we be able to: * Set a parent via the API? * Change the parent via the API? * View the parent via the API?
-
Thanks for sharing this @Neill Walker I was also thinking about using releases instead of a custom field. Decent stepping stone: I totally agree :-) But I'm currently looking into more specialized plugins that can do it better.
-
Hi @Kukk I don't think this can be done but I liked and watched your question because I was curious for other community member's answers :-)

On Cloud there is no way to get similar overviews. And the feature request is still open https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-30467 My approach would be to fix filters when you notice they are broken after performing the change. Send out instructions to your users about this to warn them in advance.
-
I would also give it a try with automation rules if scripting is not your thing. Way easier to create and maintain.
-
Can you open the network tab of your browser's developer tools and see which requests are failing? Jira uses it's own API and I assume it can not talk to itself because of your network setup.

Thanks for this article! Honestly I feel like advanced roadmaps is not really suited for working SAFE. I'd be glad to hear other opinions. Couple of things I'm missing: * an actual PI concept. Having PIs as custom field values are far from ideal. There is no start/ end date end the PIs are not plotted on the timeline *…

Hi Edgardo, The structure of screens and fields is as follows: A project uses a issue type screen scheme. (it can be shared by multiple projects) An issue type screen scheme has 1 or multiple screen schemes A screen scheme has 1 or multiple screens. This way you can choose which screen to use for editing, viewing and…

Hi @Edgardo Ibarra All fields are always displayed in the field configuration. What you can do with a field configuration is decide if a fields is hidden or visible and required or optional. With the "Hide" links on the right you can hide a field. Issues in the projects using the field configuration will not display that…

Hi Javier There is no delay action in automation rules. But what you could do is use a scheduled trigger with a JQL search like: Created > -10m Of course you will have to put the configure the rule to run every 10min (at least). And keep an eye on your automation count. But as long as no issues are updated it will not…

Hi @Graessel, Marco (M.) Welcome to the Atlassian community! Are you using the Python module? When you look at the official API codumentation you will see that some info must be "expanded" before the API returns it. This get content by id page will show you the possible expansion values. I think you should…

For anyone stumbling upon this question: you need to add credentials for the hosts in the discobvey config tool. With credentials I'm getting more information.

Hi @George Smith I am setting up a new Jira instance today and noticed the option to enter a license manually. For that you need to select the "I'll set it up myself" option on the first step.

In order to manage the workflow of a Company Managed Project you need to be a Jira administrator. The workflows are under settings -> issues -> workflows. Some documentation on https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-with-issue-workflows/

Hi @Shir Avtabi You marked my answer as accepted. Does that mean the notation I suggested solved your issue?
-
Are you in a teams managed project? The config I am referring to is only available for company managed projects.

Have you tried doing this in the transition's post function? Here is an aswer that resolved the same question of another community member: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/make-log-work-mandatory/qaq-p/1580841#M116764

Hi @Deja Tatewelcome to the Atlassian community! I'm afraid you can't modify the updated time of an issue. In one of my previous project we dealt this by adding a label to the issue. Something like exclude-sla. In the SLA settings we used a different timer for issues with this label. It's not ideal but if anyone asks why…

Does the issue persist after a Bamboo restart? About the log files: * catalina.out is in the install directory of the Bamboo application (not agent) * atlassian-bamboo.log is in de data directory of the Bamboo application (not agent) Make sure you are on the Bamboo server and not on an Bamboo Agent server. Agent's are…

Hi @José Luis Gaitán Yes this can be done. Projects use a "permission scheme". This scheme defines which project role/ group/ user gets which permission. You will find the scheme under "permissions" in your proejcts. The permission you are looking for is the browse projects permission. This role defines who can see the…

Here is a feature request that was closed as "won't fix": https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-3967 A workaround is to have a post function in your workflow(s) and set the assignee to the current user. Or you can create an automation rule (if you have automation for Jira) and set the assignee in a rule.

You can not create tokens for other users in Jira. So you either need to find out the login details of that user and generate a new token or create a new user and use that one. We usually create 'service accounts' for API tokens in Jira and keep the credentials in a keystore for the Jira team. Something else to check is if…

Hi @Nur aini welcome to the Atlassian Community! If you want a publicly accessible URL you need to set your Confluence in public mode. That's under "global permissions" in the configuration, then "anonymous access". You need the "use confluence" permission for anonymous users. Once you did that you can go to the settings…

Hi Rosha, You can construct a JQL indeed. When you plan a change normally you use a date field that says when the change will start ("start date" for example). So you could do this to get all chanegs that are planned within 7days for example: issuetype = Change and "Start date[Date]" < 7d and "Start date[Date]" > now()…
