How are users customizing their pages? Are they pasting in HTML? Or are they using the wrong styles and then adding bolding, etc.? If you have a space style sheet, it is the default styling for all the pages, unless you have local CSS/styling (local CSS via a macro, styling via pasting). You can reset those pages by…

Text automatically wraps with in table cells when the table width reaches the page width. In the server table editor, you can manually set the column widths. These are built-in functions.

Hello @Finn. If you are on the server version and are capable of writing user macros, yes you can get that info. If you are on the Cloud version, I think your options are limited.

Welcome Dmitri. That is a super tough problem to solve. And I am not aware of any solution that can resolve the deltas between the two. You would have to move to more of a checkout flow, where one page is locked while the sibling page is being edited in the other instance. And again, I know of no commercial solution to do…

Well when confronted with this issue 10+ years ago, I started adding metadata to pages (and then displaying that data with a user macro) to show who the page owner was from the stand point of content. I was creating most of the content structure, so was shown as the original author. This method also allowed me to re-assign…

There is not a way for them to both share your licenses and also be on a separate site. They could have a subdomain that redirects to their space to facilitate access, but it would a part of your main Confluence site.

Well not sure what you mean by ownership of a page. The person listed as having created the page? What are you trying to achieve? Those values don't really mean anything for the operation of Confluence, so no need to "transfer ownership". Any one with permissions can access and edit the page. You could theoretically update…

No sure what limitations exist with Cloud, but the REST API is read/write. For example, some of our documentation (for commands) is generated outside of Confluence from the source code, then pages are added/deleted/updated via Python script. Also, with user macros (again on the server), you can manipulate (get/set) JAVA…

Hello @Sujith Voona , that is a very complex use model. This sounds like you would need a custom plugin, and complicated by the fact that tables in Confluence are HTML-based (as opposed to Excel being XML based). In the server version, I have been able to control visibility of a block based on user group membership, but…

Yes, I checked the display.

Hello @Debadatta Dutta , I just tried it on my cloud instance, and it still works:

Hello @John Smith , welcome to the Community. Not sure if you are on Cloud or Server/DC, or if you are trying to use the native PDF export of a third-party plugin, but generally you can control this via the CSS stylesheet that controls the look and feel of the PDF export. You can try writing a rule similar to this: h2 {…

If you are comfortable with user macros, it is pretty simple to collect and display a list of metadata for a group of child pages.
-
At the end of the numbered item above where you want to the note, are you able to enter a soft return (SHIFT + Enter), and then create a note? It has always worked in the past.
-
Hello @[deleted] , not that I am aware of. You might be able to build a workflow to do what you want with comala-document-management but I don't know if it supports a move page function

If your team used the normal way to link to other pages within Confluence, you have nothing to do. If people insisted on pasting in web links, rather than page links, yes you will need a plugin to fix as stated by the other posters. Using Confluence page links also has the huge advantage that if the page name changes, the…

If you are working with a PDF and not Confluence pages, then you should look at DocuSign as a solution, rather than Confluence. If you are wanting an approval flow on a Confluence page, then you will need a third-party plugin like comala-document-management

Hello @Míkel Rodríguez Domínguez . As a fellow user macro enthusiast, I understand your pain. You have a few options, some more painful than others: * I use Notepad++ with a Velocity module. Not perfect, but it can make it easier to see missing parentheses. * I have tried using an IDE as it does tru syntax checking, but…

If you are on server, I would try rebuilding the search index first, to see if that clears the issue. After that, from the admin console you can get a listing of all instances of a macro. OR There is a way to search for macros, which you can then fitler to spaces, for example: macroName:excerpt-include* Docs are…

Welcome to the world of Confluence, @Karen Carroll . You have a few options: * Label List Macro - but you will need to have one instance of the macro per space, a bit tedious, but works * Recently Used Labels Macro - does work globally, and set the number of labels to display high (not sure what the limit is) * Popular…

Hello @Jeanne Howe , I will assume you mean find. ;-) There is a way to search for macros, which you can then fitler to spaces, for example: macroName:excerpt-include* Docs are here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-search-syntax-158720.html#ConfluenceSearchSyntax-Searchingformacros

"Real" work as in not supporting users? ;-) Yes, any fix requires admin rights, at least at the space admin level.
-
Is this a third-party template? I see task report templates. Is that what you are referring to? If so, users need to assign you tasks for that to work.
-
Hello @Christopher Ison , you can update the site-level or space-level CSS files to do what you want. If you want more control over just certain instances, you can create a user macro to handle local formatting (the best use model is to just add a classed div tag, and then have the CSS at the site level, to avoid reloading…
-
@Steven April Do you need this for PDF export? Because you are on cloud, your workarounds are limited, unless you want to develop your own application using Forge (server supports user macros which you could use to solve this).
-
Yes, by editing the CSS at the space level. You will need to use the browser inspect function to determine the class names so that you only change this particular table type and not all tables.
-
If all of the users have accounts within Confluence, you could assign them a group membership based on the email domain, then restrict access to pages via normal permissions. The good news is that you would set the space/page permissions once, and just add/delete users from the groups as needed.
-
Well, it won't be 100%, but you could generate a list of all pages in the space, then query who was the creator, and who last modified the page, then query what groups those user belong to, and resort. Of course you will have situations where a single user belongs to two groups. Or you can run this orthogonally, and list…
-
So you are wanting this for the entire Confluence instance, a list of permissions for each space? Maybe a plugin such as this one would do what you want to: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1214087/space-admin-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview
-
Hello @Bernard , not sure what you mean by a group being attached to a particular space.
