If you are referring to pages on personal spaces, what you need to do is update the CSS for that space so that automatically indents the first line. But it will make ALL paragraphs indent. OR, you need to create a user macro to wrap all the content you wish to have this special formatting with a classed div tag, the update…

If I understand your question correctly, you will have just 50 users actually making edits? The rest just need to view and search the data? If that is the case, you just need to turn on anonymous user rights, either at the instance or space level. Those users will not log in, but can view and search the content. Only users…

I think you are making it too hard. I would use the wrapper macro to set the parameter you need for the status-handy macro (plus any others). Then you can conditional show the macro based on that macro and now have to worry about parsing the body. In the wrapper macro, there woudl be no body.

Can you show me the CSS code that is not working?

Join the bag wagon and vote for this bug: CONFSERVER-52441 Your version is in the listed of affected versions. No fix except to turn collaborative editing off.

Is there some reason you cannot use the builtin expand macro? At any rate, you have some extra cluft in the p tag containing the body text. Here is what I see in my test example: <div class="confluence-information-macro confluence-information-macro-information conf-macro output-block" data-hasbody="true"…

How are you applying the CSS? Do you have space admin rights?
-
I can't find the reference now, but this has been a requested feature for years. Theoretically, it is possible. For example, I have packaged user macros as plugins and have added them to the insert menu. But moving an existing macro there, would take some research and a lot of trial and error as the docs are not always…

Where are you modifying the CSS? You will need access to the space admin screens or the admin console. Also, use the inspect function of your browser to understand the exact path you need to write the rules for.
-
This might be a good use case of wrapping that macro in a user macro so that it is easier to control. Where the user macro actually controls and inserts the second macro. For an example of a wrapper macro, see Getting Started with User Macros - Writing a Wrapper Macro (Disclaimer, I am the author of the article.)
-
OK, I tested your macro code (not javascript or CSS), setting the macro to rendered, and this is what I see: So it renders properly. So the questions are: * What version are you on (I am on 6.2.4) * Did you set the user macro option to rendered? * Have you tried the test with no javascript or CSS?

You should be able to get your eval license from your Atlassian account. I think you can request the license there as well. You can also get dev licenses there too
-
I am not aware of any. I guess it is time to bribe your admin to install user macros for you. ;-) You could set up a local copy of Confluence where you can be an admin and do all your testing, so that your admin would just have to install the macro once it is done.

How about: String baseUrl = settingsManager.getGlobalSettings().getBaseUrl() From this link how-do-i-get-the-base-url-and-contextpath-of-a-confluence-installation/
-
Yeah, an annoyance with this macro, It should, by default, prevent a circular reference.
-
Yes, exactly. It is based on the add-on's functionality. If that add-on allows it, you are in luck. But it is rare to find that functionality. There is no way to restrict the access to add-ons via Confluence global/space/page settings.
-
This is a case where user macros are your friend. And I wrote an article about a very similar use case (user selects status from a pull down, and it formats a status macro, setting the color). Take a look Getting-Started-with-User-Macros-Writing-a-Wrapper-Macro
-
You are writing a user macro? If so you can try this code:
<ac:link> #set($userInfo = $userAccessor.getUserByName("$userEntry")) <ri:user ri:userkey="$userInfo.key"/> </ac:link>
Where $userEntry is the user name you want is selected using the @Param XXXX|type=username
-
In a word, no. Unless a particular add-on allows this type of function, you cannot restrict add-ons to a group. One that does is the older Source Editor, which allowed restrictions to access to be limited to groups if desired. User macros do have a setting to make them visible to admins only.

Turns out that this is a know issue. So please vote for the issue here: CONFSERVER-52441. And if your version isnt in the list, add a comment what version you are seeing the issue in.

There is something strange going on with emoticons that changed some time in the early 6.x releases. If you insert an emoticon, and the look a the source (using the source editor), you see the this (expected). <ac:emoticon ac:name="tick"/> You then save/updated the page, the resulting HTML is (not the relative URL): <img…

One thing I would add is that the administration tasks are easier when it is installed on Linux. If you need remote access to the OS (say to restart Confluence), you can just SSH into the server, a couple of keystrokes -- boom, done. Now the same tasks with a Windows based server? A lot more overhead. I would also posit…

OK didn't think it was a privileged function. Because I am an admin, and we have the source editor plugin installed, I can see it. confluence-storage-format So you need to ask your admin to install the source editor and add you to the list (you will need this anyway to clean up the crap Word brings in. ;-) Or bug them to…

This is where the browser inspect function is your friend. Took 2 min to see which rule is controlling the header font color (at least in 6.2.4). So here is the rule WE need (because of an installed plugin). .wiki-content .tablesorter-header-inner { color: #fff; } The cool part of the the inspect function is you can modify…
-
So you are saying that this range of font colors is not enough? If you want to reset the default font color for the entire space, you can modify the CSS file: styling-confluence-with-css. If you want to change it at the page level or local text only, then you probably need to use a user macro to wrap the text with a class…

When you are viewing a page, in the upper right, the ... menu:

Does the page title really have that leading underscore? That it is really "3 _Adding Files to an Archive" If the URL here is accurate: https://confluence.pkware.com/display/SPE/3++_Adding+Files+to+an+Archive#SFX Then there are two spaces between 3 and the _. So if the link is somehow swallowing one of those spaces, it…

OK, sorry, I see that my cross page example was not complete. It should be of the form <ac:link ac:anchor="Figure2"> <ri:page ri:content-title="Table and Figure Macros"/> <ac:plain-text-link-body>figure</ac:plain-text-link-body> </ac:link> So in your code, you are missing the ac:anchor attribute. The ! does…
-
Well anchors/links within a page have a different format than they do page to page. So for example, the storage format for a link to an anchor on the same page takes the form of <ac:link ac:anchor="Figure2"> <ac:plain-text-link-body>figure</ac:plain-text-link-body> </ac:link> But a link to the same anchor from…

Yeah, probably the word source has extra returns between paragraphs (rather than setting the spaces in the format option). So when you paste, you are getting extra spaces due to emptly

tags. You can test this theory (while viewing the page, not editing), by selecting .... -> View Storage Format. If you see empty p…
