Exactly, If you are on Cloud, out of luck. On server, you have the option of an simple user macro.
-
Well I would say that a) you can't raise a support ticket on a free plan and b) the legacy editor is going away. Generally, if you have been a server users for some time, you will be very dissappointed with the Cloud version. My top four concerns with Cloud: * No custom doman support (10+ year enhancement request still not…

Will this be supported on Server/Data Center?

When you say move a document to a specific folder, are you saying you want to move a page to another parent page based on criteria? If so, take a look at this plugin comala-document-management . It would allow you to write complex workflows and even move pages between spaces.

Hello @Heather Blue , the excertp is builtin while the multi-excerpt is a paid plugin. The main difference is that with multiexcerpt you can name each excerpt AND have mulitple on one page. I have used the multi-excerpt quite sometime now. My standard use model is to have one page in the space (e.g. _includes) at root…

If you were on the Server version, I would tell you to write a user macro. Would be a fairly straighforward task. Alais, you are stuck on Cloud.
-
@beck you have hit on one of what I think are the three top shortcommings in the Cloud versus server version. They are in order: * No custom domain names (been a request open for the for 10+ years) * No custom CSS * No user macros Until Atlassian addresses these issues, I cannot see how any of my clients can move to the…

Probably the easist way is to use the browser inspect function to look at the actual CSS code. Some poking aroung will lead you to the style sheet you need. You can also create a test page with the various colors, and inspect each on to get the hex codes.
-
Theoretically yes, but I am pretty sure that was deprecated with the new editor, and possibly in the cloud version generally (Cloud is generally a feature-reduced version of server, with more features being removed everyday ;-) ). Unfrotunately, Confluence often needs a few free/paid plugins to get what you want. Just the…

Generally it wont work as the anchors tend to create a page relative URL. So the browser cannot resolve them as the root has changed. If you are able to see the link, try creating a full URL link (you will need to use the browser save as link function), and insert that into the source. If the links are not appearing at…

Has anyone installed custom CSS, either at the space or instance level? Has any new plugin/macro been installed that might have added new CSS rules? The way to debug this is to look at three things: * View the storage format of the text in question to ensure there is not some inline CSS pasted into the cell. * Check that…

Is this via a user macro? In other words, is the calculation rendered each time the page is refreshed? Does your server time adjust for DST? In other words, can you detect the change by the server time zone marker? Otherwise, you either have to a) live with the edge cases 2 weeks out of the year, or b) you have to…

Are able to renew your maintance for your server? I know they stopped selling new licenses, but not sure whether once your mainatance lapse that is is or not. If you can, then I suggest renewing so you can then upgrade.
-
Yes, I am painfully aware. ;-) So he will have to pay $$ to go to Data Center (wasn't sure if he already had access to server). It will be cheap versus dealing with all the limitations and frustrations with the Cloud version. And if he needed to buy a FrameMaker license for each author, also not cheap. And I bought a few…
-
Yes, the page tree macro support expand and collapse. You just need one per space.
-
Then all I can say is to try a test to see if you can replicate the behaviour, and maybe file a support case. It may also be that you will have to delete your instances and try again.
-
I am a huge fan of FrameMaker, used it for years, and it is the gold standard for documentation. But moved to Confluence for documentation 10 years ago due to the collaboration abilties. How I have organized my Confluence instances (have built doc systems for three different customers to date), is by doc type. So for…
-
If I understand what you are wanting, you would need to have one macro instance per space. If you were on server, I would suggest writing a user macro. ;-)
-
Do the changes appear after some time, say 10 minutes? There is often a lag with the Cloud version (as with many Cloud apps). Also check that you cleared caches for the page when you view.
-
Well what they are suggesing is adding Javascript to the instances HTML. So you could modify the script to trigger off space key. You need to find someone who is good at scripting. ;-)
-
If it encased in p tags, then triple clicking the text will select the entire paragraph.
-
Well you are going to have a really hard time with the Cloud version. It has a lot of reduced functiionality and access versus the server version. I have overseen projects to move content from MediWiki into Confluence. There is some code base out there, but it does require customization to handle special structures in the…

My guess is a belief that it will improve editor performance and page rendering times. They are also reducing thier testing overhead by removing a lot of macros. Their suggestion is to use the Info panel instead. One of the many reasons I do not recommend the Cloud solution to anyone who has experience with the Server…

Or right-click -> copy?
-
It is because: This macro was intentionally excluded from the new editor and will be deprecated from the legacy editor soon. Read more here: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-panel-macro/

Sometimes a brute force method ends up being the quickest. I would suggest downloading all the attachements as a zip file. Then on you local system, break up the pages into seperate folders to make it easy to reupload to the new pages. You can upload upto 10 files at a time (I think). This will end up being the fastest…

Have you seen these: * https://pypi.org/project/confluence-rest-library/ * https://atlassian-python-api.readthedocs.io/index.html
-
hmm perplexing. I would try creating an excerpt on another page to see if that works. And maybe try deleting the excerpt you have now, save the page, and then try to recreate it.
-
Make sure the source page (with the excerp macro has been saved. And there may be a delay on Cloud while things sync.
-
Yes, as @Vikrant Yadav suggest, the insert HTML macro is the way to go. BUT be advised is that you will need to use inline CSS styling. THere is no way to modify the CSS at an space or instance level. A big limitation of the Cloud. But I am going to assume that you will want the button to do something. However, you cannot…
