If you want to view that information while viewing the page, you would need to create your own user macro that runs custom javascript on the page. But as @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- suggests, seems like a lot of effort that won't provide a lot of detail to the user. The user could always just edit the page to see who is…

You may have hit on a limitiation of the new editor in Cloud. But yes, you can edit the source code (XHTML) for the page. But you will need a special editor to do so. I suggest this app: source-editor-for-confluence

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- with the assist!

The include macro will always reflect the source. If you edit the source, then it will be reflected on the page including the content. It sounds like you want to copy and past to bring in that content and edit it. BUT you can have local content on the page between your includes. The other approach is to use the excerpt…

I am actually working on an update now! Stay tuned.

THis plug in, comala-publishing , used to allow publishing of a page between instances. Thier documentation doesn't list that as a feature, so you should contact them to ask if it is still supported. The other method I use is manual. I have the source editor installed. I edit the source page, go to the source editor, copy…

Confluence 4.0 in 2011! A whole decade of Confluence admining. ;-)
-
You could use the child display macro, one for each space. This macro allows you more programmability. https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-children-display-macro/

It is a bit of a hack, but you can create a dummy Word file with your page hierachy (and additional content), then import your Word file using the break on Heading 1 settings (or Heading 2 if you want to create a more indepth page tree. This is a pretty easy method and works well.
-
The page tree macro won't do what you want? Seems close: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-page-tree-macro/
-
Because your rule overwrites the existing rule for all p, ul, and ol tags on the page. The solution is to wrap whatever it is you want to style inside a classed div, then rewrite your rule to be class specific.

Also, let me refer you to this in-depth article: Michelle-s-quot-Five-Stages-of-Word-Import-quot-Survival-Guide

Sorry, I think I misread your question. For import you MUST clean the Word file first: * Delete any title page * Delete any ToC, Indexes, etc. * Delete header and footers * Important! Verify that you are using the builtin formats, like Heading 1, Heading 2, etc. If the source doc was manually formatted, you will have to…

Well I can help you with the capability question, but writing one is a bit complex. THe first thing to understand is that user macros are generally server side, and are rendered when a page is rendered. BUT you do have the option of including Javascript that can be run client side (via a page on the button). Then via REST…

I have been using Confluence for documentation for nearly a decade. The route I take is to use the PDF plugin from K15t to generate PDFs directly, rather than going to Word. But they also have a Word exporter that I have also used, and it works well. https://www.k15t.com/software

This is typically a browser issue and not Confluence. If you can navigate to the URL with Chrome or Firefox, then you at least have a valid URL. THen you have to change the browser's configuration to allow local links. Also look at this…

Good deal. If I have answered your question, please accept the answer. We work for clicks! ;-)

Sure, then what you want to do is to write a user macro to do what you want. Take a look at this article I wrote to get you started: Getting-Started-with-User-Macros-Writing-a-Wrapper-Macro
-
Well if you run the Scroll PDF exporter, they have a special macro for overriding the page title. I use it often to work around the issue of having to have unique page names in the same space. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/7019/scroll-pdf-exporter-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
-
Sorry Viktar, still not clear what you want to do. Nesting of macros is the way to go. OR if you want something more complex withing a single macro, then you need to write a uer macro. There you have much more control.
-
Yet another reason, I cannot see moving to the Cloud anytime in the near future. Add this to many of the missing features in the Cloud version versus server.
-
If I understand what you are asking. It looks like all of the bulleted text pasted as a single line. What you need to do is the insert line returns (ENTER key, at the end of each bulleted line. Then you will need to format as bullet list, and delete out the original bullets. What has happened is it has interpretted all of…
-
Not sure what you mean with one button. The proceedure is you need to insert the parent macro on the page first, then place/insert the nested macro inside the parent macro.
-
Hello and welcome to the Community! Have you taken a look at the PDF macro, will it not do what you want? https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/pdf-macro-375849180.html
-
Refer to this KB https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/unable-to-use-some-characters-like-backslash-223904158.html Says it should work. But maybe not on Cloud and the "new" editor?
-
Placing one or more macros inside another is referred to nesting. Like an egg inside a bird's nest.
-
There are two possible reasons for that message: * Cloud server loading * Your Internet connection to the server The only "solution" may be to just wait an hour or two see if the isses resolve themselves. If it continues, you need to file a support ticket.
-
Your two options in order of my preference is: * as @Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ suggested, use the code macro. Better solution for documentations * use the escape character "\". Works faster than typing an unneeded character and then deleting it.
-
THe two macros work as a pair. One is useless without the other.
-
Just to second @Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ comment, yes, the multiexcerpt existed for the server well before it was available on the Cloud. I am a current user of the server version.
