Thanks @Rilwan Ahmed This worked perfectly for that part!

Thanks for those answers but unfortunately, this doesn't work. I have removed the permissions from the transition but the field remains available.

@Sharon Halpin Finding a single system to hold all the information can be quite a journey. There are so many products out there, all have their benefits and shortcomings. The Atlassian suite is very good and I am sure you can use the suite to achieve all you want. In the end it all depends on what you want, with how many…

@Sharon Halpin Sure thing, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjPzy5maDBM And yes, I hope to go through everything in the University and still have Confluence and JSM to go in the Fundamentals series. Why the interest in Confluence? Do you have a special connection with it?
-
@Nikki Zavadska _Appfire_ Thanks for pointing that out! Just changed the link. And yes, Trello is interesting. Got inspired by Brittany's 12-hour YouTube session :)

Hello Trudy, I have double checked the UserID by searching again. It is indeed the correct ID. The automation has the right to comment since it can comment when the properties are removed. Any other ideas on how we can proceed with this?
-
Hello Trudy, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately this doesn't work. I still get the permission error after executing this. Just to make sure I understood you correctly; the only properties that I have available in the status are: jira.issue.editable > false jira.permission.comment.user > UserID Thanks in advance,…

@Trudy P Claspill sure thing! These are the details of the transition itself. Nothing special, just setting the resolution. These are the details of the status The automation is looking like this: I have also tried triggering on a status change instead of a transition, but this doesn't change the behavior. This is what we…

@Gautam.Bhatia I have inserted the link into the first line. For your convenience: https://university.atlassian.com/student/path/815443-jira-fundamentals The link to the certification is just that, a link to my certification. It should show my badge and completion score @Sridhar Gandla See above. All the other links seem…

Thank you all for your suggestions! Getting a cloud administrator certification is certainly on the roadmap. For now, the clear winner is Jira Fundamentals. I am looking forward to getting started with this and will keep you posted on the progress in a new article.
-
That is correct. An issue isn't resolved until the resolution is set. I am not sure what happend in your case. The last time I encountered this was because I didn't add a Post Function in the workflow that actually set the resolution. Curious to hear what's the cause in your case.
-
Hello @Nick Howarth The CSAT should be send out when an issue receives a resolution. Could it be that your tickets get a closed status, but do not have a resolution? Could you post a screenshot of your ticket?
-
It looks like you are on the server version and not on the cloud version. This is my mistake. I have taken a look at the server documentation and the values should be: {{reporter.displayName}} {{issue.key}} should work on server as well though. I am not very familiar with the server version but perhaps it has to do with…

Hello @Dave Kock , This is a common problem that we are facing ourselves as well. Unfortunately, there is no build in functionality that will allow you to separate this information. You would need to ask your webdevelopers if they can restructure the form so that the contact e-mail address is being used as the sender. This…

Hello @Warren Groenewald It is certainly possible to use variables in comments. However, an @comment isn't Jira is calling those variables, Smart Values and you can check out all the available fields in this article: Jira Smart Values An example that I am currently using on my instance is: ==========================…

@Kate Pawlak _Appsvio_ It is a small world it seems. Trello is something that is still really confusing for me. Some people swear by it (hello @Brittany Joiner !), but for me, I still have to figure out why I should use Trello instead of Jira. @Dave LIAO What would help me the most? I guess that doesn't really matter at…

@Velizar Borisov Thanks for hosting this. It was interesting to see the possibilities and I will definitely take AppVisio into consideration in the future. ps. I should really remember to make screenshots :) Edit and ps2: see @Viktoriya Borisova I am in this screenshot :) Thanks @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_

* Make sure the meeting is required and that everyone who gets invited will get some benefit from the meeting. * Make sure the meeting is prepared. Set an agenda before hand, prepare the required documents and tools * Follow-up on the meeting agreements and actions.

No problem, good to hear it works for you!

Just commenting again to regain my kudos after an account migration. Might as wel answer the questions again :) * Been using it for around 8 months now. * Not sure if it is special. We use JSM to support our customers. Portal accounts are generated based on a thick, customers can set in our software. This is then…

At the start of this month, I set a field as required for a particular request type. Everything seemed fine and we got the results we wanted. After about a week a colleague asked if there were problems with submitting issues. Since we got requests daily, I just told them that there wasn't and we moved on. Then, a week…

Joined the Apptoberfest ACE even in Amsterdam on November 10th. Hosted by @Rik de Valk _Brainboss_ and @Tzoe Keat CHIAM Was great to talk to some great marketplace vendors like like K15T, 55Degrees, Elements, Caelor, Old Street Solutions and Communuardo. There should be photo's that proof my attendance, I just didn't take…

Thanks @Jimmy Seddon Always a pleasure to read the round-up, and the articles within while enjoying a cup of coffee :)

Hello @Balaji Parepally While @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- 's answer might solve your problem, it might still cause problems for your customers. E-mail might end up in the spam folder instead of their inbox. In order to resolve this, please check your DNS settings, especially the SPF, DMARC and DKIM records. This article…

Hello @Hendriawan One way to achieve this is to use an SLA combined with an automation. First, create an SLA that starts when a comment is added. Set the time limit to 5m. Set other restrictions as required. For example Next, you will need to create several automations depending on what you want to do. I am not aware of…

I found the community because I was looking into answers on how to achieve certain tasks. I got asked to take care of our Atlassian products while I knew nothing about it. Finding this community was the best thing that happend in the Atlassian journey. There is so much knowledge and the community is friendly and helpful.…
