Not that it is all about the goodies (between you and me, it helps), but who will receive the laptop stickers? Will this be shared somewhere or will people be notified somehow?

Hello @seelye.naomi ! Could you provide some screenshots to show what is happening and what you would expect to happen? Pictures help me understand the problem better and hopefully I can give you an answer that actually makes sense. Thanks in advance!

It is possible to create a backup for cloud trough Settings > System > Backup manager. However, this is only for backing up and restoring the complete project / environment and not for single tickets. Atlassian warns that deleting a ticket is irrevocable and should be done with care. Perhaps you are better off taking a…

Hello All, * When did you first time find out about Jira? I knew about Jira before using it. I am mostly managing JSM but I am currently working on integrating that with Jira while at the same time, restructuring our Jira projects. * Where are you in the process of adopting Jira? Only considering it or already implemented…

Hello @Sheldon T You can only configure the outgoing e-mail address and not the naming. If you have changed the project e-mail (Project > Settings > Notifications) than all should be well. It could be that your mail program still remembers the old name, have you tried sending an e-mail to a "new" account? Let me know if…

Sorry, I missed this comment. I don't think you can select which projects to copy. Of course, after copying the content, you can always delete the projects you don't need from your sandbox environment. What would you like to achieve? What is it that you need the production data for? Perhaps you can re-create the situation…

That is a hard question. There is so much that I wanted to be when I grew up; Biologist, Archeologist (Indiana Jones!), Cowboy, Apache pilot, Cyclist, Photographer and Developer. I ended up in IT, first as a support engineer, on to system administrator and now back at the service desk as a team lead and Atlassian…

Hello @Sunil Sagar It looks like you have your instance setup to allow only internal customers to create an issue. If you want to allow external users to create issues, you need to change the permissions accordingly. Fortunately, this is quite easy to do. * Go to your project settings > Customer Permissions. Make sure that…

@Sharon Tan Thank you Sharon!

Hello @Francisco Navarro , This is build into the Jira administration portal. Here are the steps that you can take: * Go to https://admin.atlassian.com * Select Products on top and go to Sandbox * If you don't yet have a Jira Software Sandbox, create one * It will take a moment to create, wait until it is * Select the…

Thanks a lot for this! It is quite special to be so welcomed into a new (to me) community. Makes me excited for the future. Let's keep working together!

@Sharon Tan @Monique vdB Thanks for taking a look. But instead of getting the badge, the requisites have now been cleared.

Hello all, I have been using JSM for almost 6 months now. There is still a lot to learn and to be honest, we are still trying setting up the environment. We tend to have a MVP setup and just go from there. At this moment I am redesigning our workflows, and working on an integration with Jira Software so my engineers can…

Good job Pramodh!

Is it just me or does this commenting thing not work for the Kudo's "Always be Learning" achievement?

Hello @Anush Chatikyan What you are looking for is the "Issue transitioned" trigger. After that, you can use the Linked issue branch component to filter for the correct linked issue and perform actions on those issues. Of course, you can add additional conditions and actions as required. Good luck!
-
@Sten Kivi Good to hear! Good luck with setting everything up. If this has helped you, please accept my answer
-
This is great! It would help so much if everyone in the organization did this. Well done, and I will definitely advocate for this during my weekly team meetings.
-
Thanks for this. It is real helpful to have all those links in one place.

Thanks for this post. Finding a study buddy would be great but for some reason, this never worked for me. Either I was the only one in the company that was studying this information, or my study buddies would have different schedules. One thing that does work, is being active in a community. Reading and sharing knowledge…

Unfortunately, it is not possible to promote a sandbox environment to a production environment. You can use the sandbox environment to test settings, after you have found something that works for you, you need to manually transfer that to the production environment.
-
Ah well, in that case, @Alex Koxaras -Relational- is spot on :) Good luck with moving everything over to the new project!

Hello @Cookie ! If I understand you correctly, you want to know which step op the automation does what without having to look through all the separate automation steps? One way to achieve this is by adding a Log Action component to the automation between the different steps. This will allow you to add custom messages to…

Hello @Dewi Yulita I haven't found a way to revert back to number 1. Usually we just go with the number, they are arbitrary anyway and it doesn't matter for the customer if the issue is number 1 or number 358. I do feel the OCD pain though :)
-
This is, unfortunately, not a scenario that you have to worry about. Jira notifications are send from a single address. By default this is a jira@ORGANIZATION.atlassian.com address, but you can add a custom address per project. This means that the communication goes as follows: Incoming: issue reporter > market.us@jira.com…

Hello @Sten Kivi ! Welcome to the community, let's try to get you going. You are definitely on the right path, however, this is something that has to be configured outside of Jira / Atlassian. You can create e-mail aliases in (for example) Exchange. This will allow e-mail send to those aliases to end up in the inbox of…

@shravya chinthapatla I am sure the suggestion of @Shaik Rafi will work but I do believe it is possible using the build in Automation. From what I understand, you have a 1 on 1 relation. Meaning that there is only one linked issue. If that issue is set to done, the linked issues should also be set to done. Here is what I…
-
Hello @shravya chinthapatla If I understand correctly, you want to trigger something when a linked issue is closed. For instance, notify the assignee of the original issue. If this is the case, then please take a look at automations. Trigger the automation to when an issue is transitioned. In your case, to Closed Then add…

Hello @Sampath This sounds like familiar behavior. It happens in our instance as well when we have automations that trigger on the same event, or within the same timing window. Unfortunately we have yet to find a way to prioritize the order in which automations are triggered, or to have them wait on each other. The…
