Excellent update, much needed functionality - Thank you

Yup having a good data backup strategy is not only important but it is also your responsibility as an admin if you are on the cloud - read more on what Atlassian says here - https://www.atlassian.com/whitepapers/cloud-security-shared-responsibilities…

Thats awesome! Kudos to your IT team.

Hi @Marie Gärtner I am sorry to say @Dave Mathijs is correct, any deletions are immediate except if it is the entire project, in which case you can reverse the change from the Trash can. You can read more about the data vulnerabilities for Atlassian here Your best bet is to take a backup of your Jira site.

Hi @Kowshik.Kaipu Welcome to the Atlassian Community. You would have to request you Jira admin to make a backup of your Jira Cloud tenant. Select Settings > System In the IMPORT AND EXPORT section, select Backup manager. Under Backup for cloud, select Create backup for cloud. You can read more about this here…

Hi @Jithendra Mathi Thank you for the interest. Couple of things to address your questions: * As I mentioned JSM is in beta as of now for us * Backup of your cloud tenants are taken every 24 hrs automatically * We also have the functionality for on-demand backup too * Managing backups and making them searchable is also key…

Hi @Oliver CENTENO, @John Funk Unfortunately the API's don;t exist as of yet for creating Automations, that is a gap that you have identified, please reference - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-51 Thanks Vish

Hi @Sreenadh As @Alex Koxaras -Relational- points out with the existing Backup Manager it is all or nothing for backup & more importantly for restore. The reason I call out restore is because of this very common scenario, where you take a backup of your Jira site using the backup manager on Nov 1st and 6 days later on Nov…

Hi @Elif Alverson @Kristján Geir Mathiesen I don't have a solution for you today to move things between sites, but we are building a solution for that and would love your input if you are open to talking to us. With the Revyz Backup & Restore app, you can restore back data in a granular manner from a given backup snapshot…
-
Hi @Luiz Eduardo Takenouchi Goulart How many projects and issues were you migrating from JS to JWM? If it is a lot, you may want to open a support ticket with Atlassian.
-
Hi @Nijas Rawther, Absolutely we could meet. I could be reached at vish.reddy@revyz.io Also to ensure that there is no confusion, we at Revyz have a built an automatic backup and more importantly a granular restore solution for Jira, because of the challenges we saw that you are calling out. It is relatively easy to backup…
-
Hi @Gnanabaskar - I would suggest you contact Atlassian support for this issue.
-
Hi @Nijas Rawther I have not seen a script for Restore's as of yet. As data restoration is a bit more complicated then backup. Some of the caveats that you need to keep in mind are below from the "Import Jira Cloud" page https://[YOUR SITE].atlassian.net/secure/admin/CloudImport!start.jspa?source=CLOUD * We…

Hi @[deleted]@Gokaraju gopi, I don't believe there is a clear cut solution in cloud (assuming you are tenant is in the cloud). One option is to go back to you backup, and get the linking information from there? Have you taken a backup of your cloud data recently?
-
Hi @Jithendra Mathi We have JSM in beta, we can get your trial started right away. Thank you Vish
-

Hello @Emerico Vespucci The app we have built is based on using the standard API's that Atlassian has published here - https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/intro/

Hi @Anthony Wilson With the database backup & restore mechanism that Jira provides. With the restore mechanism that is provided unfortunately you cannot get granular or selective for picking and choosing specific pieces of data that you want, the restore is all or nothing. We have built an app to help automate the backup…

Thank you for sharing, great insights @Joseph Law (Contegix)
-
Hi @Emerico Vespucci I represent Revyz, what you are seeing in the post is accurate in terms of the steps that need to be taken to do a backup. In talking to many people and personal experience, that process works in cases where your overall data set is small. The other part to also take into consideration is the restore…
-
Hi @Pavel Rusakov I represent Revyz, we have built a Jira Software backup and granular restore solution and are in the process of building the same for JSM. Given an opportunity, I would love to show you what we have built on the JSM front to get your feedback on the use case. Please let me know if you are open for a…

Thank you for sharing the use case @Katherine Stevens This is very interesting.

Hi @Katherine Stevens I represent Revyz we help Jira administrators automate their data backups and provide for granular restore of issues, configuration, attachments etc.. Given that we backup all the data, we introduced a feature which helps you look through your attachments in the backup and provides you with additional…

Welcome to the community @serge-alain.ahekpa I represent Revyz, @Trudy P Claspill is correct unfortunately once you delete a space in confluence or an issue in Jira, that data is lost for ever unless you backup your data. Thats what inspired us at Revyz to build a backup & restore app for Jira cloud our focus is on…

Hi @Evelyne Schmid, @Sam Nadarajan I represent Revyz, a Atlassian marketplace app provider As @Sam Nadarajan rightly points out if you have deleted the tasks / issues then they are lost forever. Thats what inspired us at Revyz to build a backup & restore app for Jira cloud our focus is on granular restore of Jira objects.…
