Did you delete a project or specific issues? If you deleted a project you could get it back from the recycle bin.

Hi @Miquelino @Joseph Chung Yin , Couple of things to consider: 1. Atlassian has its own processes for backing up data just like any other SaaS vendor, but they clearly tell you that the backups they take are for addressing any issues on the infrastructure side - Please reference the Atlassian Security Practices Summary in…

@[deleted] - Here is a link to how you can delete a comment. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/edit-and-collaborate-on-an-issue/ In summary you should have the necessary permissions to delete the comment as a user or an admin of the project. Also note that once you have deleted a comment it is gone…

Thank you so much @Vikki Silvers for sharing the updated link. It would be great if the customer responsibilities are somehow called out as part of the Cloud migration guide. Lot of folks seem to be under the wrong impression that - when they migrate to the cloud all the responsibilities are somehow belonging to the…

Hi @lindsay.makin Unfortunately once you delete a Jira ticket it is gone, unless you have taken a backup of the data. The options at hand are: 1. Take a backup of your entire Jira site every 48 hrs (that is the minimum) time you have to wait to take a complete backup using the mechanisms that Atlassian provides When you do…

Also you cannot re-direct the URL of the old ID to another ID - reference https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-34945 Having said the above, we are working with the Atlassian Team to address the ID issue as it is critical from a data backup and restore point of view.

Thank you for sharing the update @pknowlton. The changes from v3.1 to v4.0 of the CAIQ are primarily focussed on addressing the the lack of understanding of the shared responsibility model - reference this very good blog post from the Cloud Security Alliance. Atlassian has two very good documents which talk to about the…

Got it, you may want to check with the administrator in that case and see if they have backups.
-
Hi @Jose Johnley Briones Options at hand are: 1. Do a regular backup 2. Use a Backup Service if you don't want to manage the backup part. Here is a link to Atlassian Security Policies: https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/security-practices#service-availability

Hi @Denis Burdukovskiy @Artur Moura From the recommendation I see from Atlassian on backups - Jira Software Data Center and Server 9.3 documentation Would the following not work: * Use Native DB backup tool to backup data * Migrate the backup to the new DB, using new DB migration tools

Hi @Daniel Cottrell, Unfortunately once you delete something it is gone. Do you have any backups of your Jira Server? Perhaps you can retrieve that from the backups? Thanks Vish
-
Hi @Daniel I am not sure if there is an automatic way to do it. The only thing I can think of is to get that version from a backup, assuming you are taking a regular backup of your jira site.
-
@Naresh Gantala - Did you take a backup of your data? Perhaps you can retrieve the information from there?
-
Yes audit logs should capture info on changes.
-
Thank you @Erika Schuler very interesting find and work around!
-
Hi @Thomas Lautenbacher I have not tried Confluence Cloud backup and restore as of yet, until you asked the question :-) Don't have a solution for you as of yet - have you tried the New Confluence Restore CLI? I will try that out next. Here is what I did, and I think I am running into the issue which you have: 1. Did a…
-
Hi @Paul Berg In addition to what @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- has called out Atlassian backups are only held for 30 days. Reference - https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/security-practices#service-availability You would need to get a backup service or do a manual backup. You can look for a apps in the marketplace that…
-
Hi @Stefan I would do what @Andy Gladstone is suggesting: 1. Backup your site 2. Create another site or reduce the users to below 10 to the existing site to make the bill to go to zero. We at Revyz working an automated backup solution for Confluence, we are not there as of yet. We will have a free export capability once…
-
Hi @Henriette Humlum The support team is pretty responsive. Please make sure you have picked the appropriate category of the issue you are facing so that they can route the request appropriately. I have typically seen the turn around time is 4 - 8 hrs.
-
Hi @Richard Jones - If you are looking to just test, I can set you up with a site for you to do your testing. Please feel free to pick a time on my calendar that works best for your for an introductory call - calendly. Looking forward to talking to you and getting you setup. Thank you Vish
-
Hi @Okta Reza Pratama - Are these 5 members the creators or assignees of the jira issues? The Revyz app allows for granular control, you can backup your entire site and then download the specific tickets in JSON or CSV Depending on where you are located we could do a quick google meet and see what the possibilities might…
-
Welcome to the community @Jamie Liao Could you share the use case / end goal of why you are trying to export data, perhaps with that I can suggest something more suitable.
-
Hi @Adrian Mane I would love to know what you find out from the support team. From what I know config items will remain, but actual data would go away, but is it hidden in some table, that is something the support team can tell you.
-
Thank you @Hana Kučerová Would love for you to try it out, happy to do a demo for you, please feel free to pick a time that works for you on my calendar.
-
Hi @Okta Reza Pratama As @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_ points out you can do a database backup. Are you looking for a database backup or are you looking to export your data in a csv or json formats?
-
Hi @Elaine Cawthorne @Dirk Ronsmans @Paul Wiggers, Here are a couple of things I have learnt over the past year as we been trying to address this problem. 1. As @Paul Wiggers, points out you can backup Jira cloud data using the database / xml backup mechanism that Atlassian provides. From what I have seen this works if the…
-
Thank you @Oliver Siebenmarck _Polymetis Apps_ appreciate it. Hi @Richard Jones , Happy to provide all the details of what we do today and how we are evolving our roadmap to you. Thank you Vish
-
@Yogesh Mude your pointer is spot on. @Surender Kannemoni - One more thing to consider: Atlassian recommends that you do a database backup instead of the XML backup - reference - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/automating-jira-application-backups-938847675.html Which would mean your DB backup data is…
-
Hi @Sehrish Gul @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- @Piotr Biegun _Gitprotect.io_ , One other doc that is useful to reference is the Shared Responsibility that customers and Atlassian have.
-
Hi @Alejandra Martin @Piotr Biegun _Gitprotect.io_ I have talked to multiple app vendors including Zephyr, Tempo, X-Ray etc.. none of them have specific plans when it comes to disaster recovery scenarios. As @Piotr Biegun _Gitprotect.io_ this is a big problem. At this point of time I don't think there is a clean solution…
