Happy to go through any of these against your actual setup. Drop the specifics in the thread, or reach out directly if you'd rather not post them publicly.

@Huwen Arnone _Deiser_Devoteam_ it was a bit of an eye opener for me too, and I operate in the integration space daily!
-
@Germán Morales I think you have nailed the core issue here! The majority of time I spend with clients is discussing exactly those questions i.e. who owns what and when, and what data points to sync. And this is not an easy discussion to have, as it does not really depend on the tooling, but rather on human behavior. But…

Well said @Himanshu Tiwary ! As long as the integration you are building is flexible enough to adapt to your business needs (rather than the other way around), it will be a winner. The number of times I have seen client to fit their business processes around the integration is way higher than it should be.

Thank you for the appreciation, and for sharing your project details - it is certainly an innovative use of JSM, and I think it is the direction that this will evolve into. I feel we are already way beyond the traditional implementations!
-
Hi, So the conundrum is real, and there is no one answer here for me unfortunately, The CSV export/ import is a good way but you come unstuck in the transformation step i.e. SNOW and JSM are 2 quite different beasts. Building a python script for this again is rather a straightforward exercise, but would suffer from the…

Hi manoj, A very warm welcome to the community! I do not think this is directly possible, but I can think of some workarounds. Maybe have a dedicated Jira project and issue type for this and use custom fields there to store whatever you need - you can even use the issues themselves as a kind of DB (not sure of the exact…
-
Hi Anurag, A very warm welcome to the community! I am not sure about the exact issue that you posted, but do you have access to any logging etc. that might help us pinpoint this. Also, you should be able to achieve a Jira-Github integration using tools like Exalate to automate flows between the 2 systems. Please let me…
-
Hi Matteo, A very warm welcome to the community! This should certainly be possible and you might actually be able to bring more value to your automated workflows by using a deep integration solution like Exalate. Anything and everything contained within your Azure workItems can be synced and automated status/ priority…
-
Hi Julian, This should be achievable via Automations as long as this is in the same Jira instance. But you can add real value to the integration by adding a deep integration into the mix using a tool like Exalate. Also, if your JSM and Jira Software live on 2 different instances, this should still be very possible via…
-
Hi Stephan, A very warm welcome to the community! I am not sure how customized an integration you are looking for but it seems you would benefit from having the integration tailored to your exact use case. This is where Exalate comes into its own by allowing you that freedom (disclaimer - I work @ Exalate). Let me know if…

Hi @Richard R Miller A very warm welcome to the community! This is Majid @ Exalate. I see that Exalate has already been suggested as a possible solution here (thank you @Valerie Knapp). You should be able to easily set up your use case by creating and controlling sprints on your board, with your clients having the…

Hi @Andrew Buckwell A very warm welcome to the community! This is Majid @ Exalate. I see that Exalate has already been recommended here as a possible solution (thank you @Stephen_Lugton ) and yes, it would fit this use case nicely. We do support quite a few ITSM systems OOTB and would be happy to engage with you further to…
-
Hi Vera, This is Majid @ Exalate. I see that you already found an answer that this will not be possible for the particular app you are using. However, there are options out there already that provided this feature built into the app. Here at Exalate, we do this via the Delegated Admin Access feature that allows a Jira…
-
Hi Neal, This is Majid @ Exalate. Unfortunately, I cannot be of much help in this instance without having access to detailed logging, but I agree it should not have to do with the Hotfix you mention. My first hunch would be auth issues or a bug in the plugin (as you reproduced it). Do let us know how this turns out? I am…
-
HI Silvia, This is Majid @ Exalate. Reading through the conversation, my take on what you are trying to achieve is this: * you have different projects in different sites (accounts) * you are looking to create a unified view whereby you can pull data from all these projects. This is certainly possible but in order to do…
-
Hi Juan, This is Majid @ Exalate. That does sound like a pretty weird issue. If I understand you correctly, you can "see" the fields in the local replica, but not in the remote replica when accessed from the ServiceNow side. Is this correct? I see that you have created EASE-32258 with our support team. I would request you…
-
Hi @Dominik Notz This is Majid @ Exalate. A very warm welcome to the community! Your research does sound spot on actually i.e. you will need an integration app, and yes, Exalate will need to be installed on both sides of the integration. Thousands of clients are already using Exalate in exactly that way and the main reason…

Hi Dennis, This is Majid @ Exalate. A very warm welcome to the community! I think it is abundantly clear from the preceding comments that you can employ an integration solution to overcome the collaboration challenges you mentioned above, not to mention the security aspect of this (I presume you do not want any external…
