Thank you @Alex Chiu and team for working on this massively painful issue of bringing clarity to what is being released! Is there any thought being given to including the tickets/issues are addressed in these fixes/improvements/etc.? For example, I would love to know if a change is rolled out for Confluence automation that…

Hi Bill, I appreciate all that however I've not responded because we've tabled this for now. should we pick this up in the future I'll be able to have a meaningful response. thanks
-
@Dave Meyer I love the idea of the seasonal releases but for this first go-around, I'm very puzzled as none of what is listed here (with the April 27 date) is anywhere on our Administration > Release Tracks lists for either April nor May. Can you help me reconcile this apparent conflict? Thanks!

While I understand that this is to prevent clutter, I wish it was an option to show all swimlanes. we have some boards that only have a couple swimlanes and it is a pain not being able to create an issue based on the swimlane criteria, in our case "component". thank you for listening :)

well that is the thing, we don't know if we were impacted and maybe that is my question. how do we know if something that should have worked, didn't work? or are you saying that if we see the outage in the system health, then that means we are impacted? thanks!
-
Thank you Fazila! We are in that beta but it doesn't seem to have, at this point, any added value beyond the Atlassian status page or am I missing something? Don't get me wrong, this insight into the health of our instances is critical and I applaud this effort.

we are a financial company and therefore regulated. comments fall under communications and as such are captured so they can be reviewed as part of the regulatory audits. Yes, we began looking at the failures which is how we discovered this issue. We've provided guidance to the users that they leverage the page status…

Thank you. I was tracking two of those but not the 3rd. Unfortunately I don't see any workarounds so for now we've removed the ability of our users to apply restrictions. it is frustrating that the functionality exists in Jira to use the actor who triggers the event but Confluence does not have that.
-
thank you. yes, the challenge is "making sure the rule actor has the required page permissions" and that is not something that we can be proactive with. for now we have removed users ability to apply restrictions.
-
Thank you @Bill Sheboy , I'll take a look at these ideas
-
Will this, and if so how, impact DC migrations? Thanks
-
we just had this happen the other day and what added to the confusion about the legitimacy of the site is that it showed as a 'premium'. the user did say it was accidental & the result of trying to log into our existing implementation. So this leads me to asking all, how do you determine what is a 'legit' instance vs…

After doing some further digging I think rather than using the "tombstone" option, leveraging merge is what I'm going to go with for the particular users we have as dupes. Thank you again @Trudy P Claspill !
-
Thank you Trudy for the insight and the link. that is a very helpful doc! I ended up opening a case with support as well and I would be interested to hear your thoughts on their feedback: Duplicated emails details: When JCMA completes the preflight checks for email duplicates, it loads the list of all users from all active…

Yes we claimed our domain. And I believe you are correct! I went ahead and exported the list of users that Atlassian said we could claim and have found that: * There's a column for "Atlassian ID"! (which I now see is the "User ID" field from the cloud user export list, same value but different naming) * All of those in…
-
Hi @Yuan Jiang I was not aware that it was available so thank you.
-
Hi John, I'm a relative newbie to the cloud and it is my understanding that not all users in our domain have Atlassian IDs. We have not invited our user base, hooked up our ID provider, nor begun to claim our accounts to manage them. The number of accounts I already see in the cloud is ~1/4 of our users (all of whom in the…
-
This is very interesting @Yuan Jiang . Is there any plan to extend this to company-managed projects? Thank you
-
Thank you @Darryl Lee however we are *not* that large of an org, we'll see what conversations come of this. I do remain curious as to how they are 'found'. I'll take a closer look at the suggestion. At minimum I would love to be notified if anyone with our domain email address created a site regardless of intent. Finally,…

yeah we had looked at the list of unsupported macros and fortunately none of them were in the space but there is something wonky going on with one macro. we will work it through though! thank you guys once again!
-
Thank you for the docs. I was able to import it but as it has a fair amount of macros, the macro repair had a bit of work. We are evaluating how successful the repairs were as it seems like a mixed bag.
-
Thank you for chiming in again @Kristian Klima since you mentioned that again I did more digging (since I only saw under 'export' tab HTML & PDF) thinking that you would not have said that again if it wasn't possible so I did find exporting to XML under 'backup'. i will give this a whirl.
-
thank you @Matt I just saw that email this morning! I'll read through the links you sent. I do suspect that this will be useful for pages without macros but with is likely a different story.
-
Thank you @Kristian Klima and @Matt all good thoughts. a little more background is that were are testing migrating stuff as we are not moving our users for a bit. I was hoping to move a subset which our DC is still our prod environment and now I'm seeing the users have to come too which I don't want them to and don't want…

that's a step in the right direction. Thank you @Bill Sheboy

Reading this makes me wonder that perhaps there would be value in creating a configurable dashboard that pulls key administrative information from the audit logs. Don't have this stuff buried, have it displayed.
-
Yes, that would work. Anything that would give visibility to our end-users as to Atlassian's product updates to Jira & Confluence so that they are aware.
-
Thank you @Tomislav Tobijas however I have realized that I didn't include in my original post that I was referring to Atlassian's product updates. I would like a way to share the updates to Jira & Confluence that they are rolling out to the cloud with our users so that they are aware.
-
hmmm, that seems to be an improvement in that the results seem to be a reasonable number. Thank you! I'll spot check these with the release notes.
-
Hi @Varsha Patel This looks helpful however when I search the product updates I do not find anything about this new navigation. Can you provide a link or let us know how to find this in the "Product updates"? Thank you chris
