  • It's coming! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/A-giant-update-for-hierarchies-issue-types-opportunity-solution/bc-p/2898192#M3031
  • I've solved it in the meantime: Use Jira Automation to post new tickets to a Power Automate webhook endpoint which creates a Message in a channel. I restrict the length of the body to 200 characters thus the condition.
  • @Pico Pico this is what Jira and Confluence are made for. You could have a look at the Atlassian University like https://university.atlassian.com/student/path/860517-get-started-quickly-with-jira and https://university.atlassian.com/student/path/850007-get-started-quickly-with-confluence and read some stuff in the very…
  • @po_app I dont know what exactly you try to do and why insights should decrease over time. The only tracking of this kind I know of is using the issue history to check what happened. Unfortunately this is not supported at the moment. You have to keep an eye on the "Insights" column yourself or export the view as CSV once…
  • @po_app Voting is a feature of JPD https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/Product-Update-Introducing-Voting/ba-p/1822609 I also recommend to add insights, maybe as an additional factor. https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/product-discovery/guides/insights/overview#what-are-insights For your…
  • @Steven Gray Maybe make one idea "Insights Inbox" and tell stakeholders to collect their unsorted insights there?
  • Why does it need to be horizontal? You could create a "bet" status or label and show that in a column.
  • @Hermance NDounga we would also be interested in the feature to trigger update mails for non-Jira-users. Can I vote for this feature somewhere?
  • @Alison Clough Sounds like an ideal setup to link the tickets in JPD. Then you can related work in the idea itself. If you want to build a filter to show only related tickets, you can use something like this…
  • Hi @Alison Clough JPD is meant to be used in conjunction with Jira Software for the delivery phase. We use it that way and attach related tickets in the respective tab. If you have business users that have tasks that cannot "live" inside the Jira cosmos that makes it harder of course. But i would try to get them there. You…
  • @georg I like to use Plans (Ex Advanced Roadmaps) for cross team planning. You could use the new integration with JPD if you have that included in your Jira license: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/Early-Access-Program-new-integration-with-Jira-Plans-ex-Advanced/ba-p/2743110
  • @Jan Vogelgesang thanks for posting and showing me that I'm not alone ;-) Cool Avatar!
  • Hi @Luke Abel we are following a similar approach as you proposed. We move implemented ideas to the "impact check" status. This status is filtered out from the main idea board and shows up on a seperate view. This way we can check back and see if we really hit the expected goals. Build, measure, learn!
  • @Maria Figueira What do you need it for? For presentations you can take a screenshot of the workflow diagram via this link.
  • Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- we are using Microsoft Teams and every now and then we give Kudos via the inbuilt function: In retros I add another column at the beginning or end of a retro board. Works really well and the teams like that!
  • I'm with @Bill Sheboy to use qualitative insights over quantitative number crunching. I believe one should be very careful with something like "tracking who closed a ticket to attribute story points" or "who spend which amount of time on what ticket". That doesn't reward people who can solve problems fast and doesn't…
  • This is what Atlassian Intelligence is able to do currently: https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/understand-atlassian-intelligence-features-in-products/ Unfortunately search is not yet part of the feature set but it seems to be in beta testing for Confluence:…
  • Noone has the same problem?
  • @BX Atlassian has a lot of good ressources in their University: https://university.atlassian.com/student/catalog their playbooks https://www.atlassian.com/team-playbook/plays and their Agile guide: https://www.atlassian.com/agile You cannot go wrong with this. Not too long and a good foundation. You could also look for a…
  • @Rebecca Graf if your colleague has the neccessary group memberships it should work as you described. Could be a bug but I would double check the assigend rights. Did it once work before? Maybe the colleague has to be part of more groups and an admin on your side could help researching this.
  • Hi @Rebecca Graf maybe you are confusing the role "creator" in JPD with the people creating ides - which normally have the role "contributor" and cannot edit ideas. This is mentioned in the table on the page linked by you. I think Atlassian is aware of this and are working on it but currently it doesn't seem to be possible…
  • Hi @Tere Pile here's the permission scheme of JPD. I think it doesn't support the way of rights separation you search for. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-product-discovery/docs/manage-your-teams-product-access/
  • Good point Mikael. We transition our ideas into the status "impact check" after the first delivery and review these ideas and their outcomes. That status transition could be done via automation.
  • Definitely cleaning up around the house and garden at springtime. I use OneNote to organize myself and a google calendar to sync with my wife but nothing too fancy. I heard a colleague if mine saying that he is using OKRs to track goals with his son but I don't think he is maintaining it digitally. With my band I use…
  • I agree that automation could be the solution. But I would go for a simple approach: 0 on a specific goal means the goal is not set. Trust people to do the right thing ;-)
  • I haven't found a way to show this in one number. My workaround: I've built a matrix view with a sum of the positive inputs on one axis and a sum of the negative inputs on the other. This way I can look at the ideas that are high on the impcat axis and decide from time to time if we want to start working on these.
  • As far as I understand your question the formula could be Impact + Goal ---------------- = Score Effort So the score from your example is (3+2) / 1 = 5
  • You cannot tell the score of a single item as this is a relative measurement compared to other ideas see this support article What is normalization? Normalization is an operation over the field values across all ideas: 0 is the lower value, or we use the lower one if there is a negative value. The highest field value is…
  • If you want the impact score, you could add all the goals in "positive" and the effort in "negative" similar to our approach
