This is on our backlog and we'll get to it in the next 6 months. Stay tuned. There is likely to be some self-paced training as well as instructor-led training.

Thanks a ton @lian . Funny, right there infront of my face and I did not recognize it.

Please clarify, not sure what you are asking.

@Scott Theus : Gary here, from Atlassian University. I'd like to add a bit more to what Chelsea wrote. The class focuses on Portfolio for Jira functionality and the concepts you need to understand to use the app well. This functionality is the same regardless of the platform you are running on, Cloud or Server. So, the…

Hi Amanda. First, I'll loop-in our Certification head regarding your comments. In the context of Service Desk administration training, please check out this training path - you can take these classes as On Demand, on your own schedule. They will definitely help you as you prepare for the ACP-400 exam.
-
Thanks for responding Angel. I relayed your feedback to the Service Desk team.
-
Thanks for your reply Mary. If you are taking the On Demand version of the classes, there is a transcript available via a tab in the player. Can you explain a bit more when you say you hope the others can be revamped?

@Kimberly Deal _Columbus ACE_: I'm from Atlassian University. Wanted to chime in on your first topic about getting to a common vocabulary. We have a set of free tutorials, called Jira Basics, that can be a big help for an Admin in the situation you describe. Check them out here: Let me know if you think they would help.

Thanks for this Carolyn! Creating a set of tutorials about JSW reports is already in our backlog. This is a great suggestion.
-
Thank you for the feedback. We are kinda stuck with not being able to show a total progress bar for these tutorials since we use a per topic progress bar - can only use one type. We do tell you in the description of each tutorial, what the length is, so that gives you a good idea of total length of each tutorial before you…

Thanks for your feedback Kat. Are you watching the OnDemand classes or the self-paced tutorials?
-
Got it and... actually done. We incorporate quizzes in all training we do. Agree, great motivators and learning checks.
-
Got it, thank you.
-
Got it, thanks!

@Gus Fort: Gary from University here. Regarding the courses being focused on Server... - We offer the Jira Admin courses for Cloud customers too. We use the Server versions of these courses, which works because the concepts for classic administration are the same on both platforms. The differences to note are in the UI and…

@Jonny Adams: Gary from University here. I'm interested in your comment about content that did not apply to your environment. Could you give more detail? What could have been better for you? Thank you!

Gary from Atlassian University here. Totally agree with Danyal's strategy of using a leveraged approach to training. Get a few power users up to speed with the products and have them coach the rest. University has both formal classes and in-product (for Cloud currently, available through the Marketplace) self-paced…

The self-paced tutorials are not updated yet for the Cloud. It's scheduled for early 2018. What Nick said above also applies to the tutorials - the concepts and best practices they cover are the same regardless of platform, so there is much value in the content even if some of the functionality is not up to date.

If you are looking at the Atlassian training (Greg mentions it above) to learn about Jira and Service Desk administration, you would take the following two courses: 1. Jira Admin Part 1: Getting up and Running 2. Jira Admin: Getting a Service Desk up and running They are offered as scheduled live webinars or OnDemand.

If you still have questions, send email to training@atlassian.com. We will be happy to help you!

Our tutorials are here. They will be free for a while longer. Try them out now.

Thank you! I was buried in the details of text search and totally forgot to reference the page you sent. Much appreciated!
