Hey Phil drop me an email at jcampbell@atlassian.com with your Compass tenant (e.g. foo.atlassian.net) and I'll add you to the test group and provide more instructions.

Hey Pete, I was trying to find this in the SQ docs but for the GitHub import, is the GUID random and not the name of the repo? Would you be able to share an example? Thanks!
-
Thanks a ton for the feedback Pete! This is the only metric currently. Especially great note on the SonarQube GitHub import prefixing the org name. I misspoke in my original post about automatic mapping, looks like that is still in the works so this was very helpful.

Hey @Phill Pafford yes this will work with Bamboo for capturing Deployment events and metrics!
-
Helllooooo my ArgoCD friends, the new custom incoming webhook may be of interest for getting deployments from ArgoCD into Compass. Go to Create > Incoming webhook and then look for the option for "Custom incoming webhook". Follow the instructions on screen in Compass and let me know if this helps with connecting Argo to…

You can just send the final one if you want!

Hey Phil I don't have a firm ETA for you but we're hyper aware of the BBDC gap. There's a few reasons we haven't churned out the incoming webhook yet BUT we do have a script to help import components and for sending events from Bamboo. Not what you're looking for/expecting, I know, but perhaps it's of some help (would be…

Yes, uninstall the Bitbucket app would be the quickest way if you aren't interested in Compass. Otherwise: 1. Under Apps at the top navigation bar 2. Select Manage your apps 3. Click Configure on Bitbucket 4. Disable the toggle for automatically creating components for new repositories in the connected BBC workspace.

Hey @Garyl Paras! Thanks for the suggestion, I've added a backlog ticket for this. In the meantime, you could use GraphQL to build a report for this. Here's a query to get you started that can pull the last deployment event for each component, though you'll need to filter out anything without a deployment yourself as the…

Nope a component cannot be owned by multiple teams currently Terry. We've gotten a few requests for team hierarchies, I'll add this to the backlog as another vote! Couple options, neither particularly great: 1. Create another team that includes all members of other teams. 2. Use a custom field to note some hierarchy or…

Hey @Harshitha Kandula ! When you import a component we apply a label like `github-import` to the component, hopefully this helps a bit. Your other points are all valid and I've captured this feedback, thanks a ton for sharing this!
-
Hey Ken I know we've chatted since you posted this but just adding an answer in case others find it. No other configuration option today to allow for clone vs fork but it's something we'll look to add in the future.

Creating merge requests (to add compass.yaml) and future plans to add the Templates feature to GitLab are the primary drivers for needing write permissions. Revisiting the permissions and seeing if we can ask for less and progressively get more (if needed/as Compass features are used) is something we can explore. Did you…

Thanks Tobias, captured your +1. I don't have an ETA at this time I can share but hear you loud and clear on the adoption blocker!
-
I think that's how this works, +35 upvotes for Antony and team! 🙌 😂
-
Hey @Krzysztof Zimnicki I don't have an update on timing for this sorry :( The good news is that we now have the Pull Request event type I mentioned above! It's now a matter of prioritizing the work to build out the incoming webhook. I understand how important this is to you and other BB DC customers!
-
Three more updoots logged, thank you! Keep em coming for anyone else looking!
-
No problem! FWIW I've added a +1 to the backlog ticket for GitLab support with Templates, the more I get the easier it comes to prioritize this! For anyone else reading who wants this feature please feel free to reply so I can also add your +1 :)

:)

Hey @kjlarson I'm from the Compass product team. Support for GitLab isn't planned for Templates within the next 6 months just to be transparent. Things can and do change but the current plan is to add more capabilities to the existing Templates for GitHub and Bitbucket to make them much more compelling. We do plan to…
-
Hey Wojciech! I don't have a good timeframe to share but ArgoCD is quite high on our list of integrations and I will add a +1 to it on your behalf. We're most likely to implement this as an incoming webhook!
-
Amazing, thanks for all the detail especially around the desired Jenkins scenario! Sharing this back with the team, super helpful. I'm glad the way it works today makes sense, please let me know if I can help answer anything else :)

Hey Seth, you're right you need to create an event source for each of your components. The basic challenge is ensuring the events are related to the correct component so our current model forces you to explicitly declare this. Would it be helpful if we had a REST API to send events from a particular source but instead of…
-
Yes! Great callout, that should work though I haven't personally verified it. Using Jira import (assuming GitLab integration for Jira is setup) to ingest the components would work and the incoming webhook would complement that by providing the activity/events. Nice one!
-
Hey everyone, we recently released a way to integrate with GitLab self-managed that we'd love for you to try. The full blown GitLab self-managed app with the ability to import repositories and use the config as code feature is still on our roadmap, but using incoming webhooks you can get build, deploy, and merge request…
-
Hey Phil, we should have support for Bitbucket Data Center out in the coming months. We need to add a first class "Pull Request" event type to Compass first and then the BB DC incoming webhook will be able to ingest PR events and metrics. Bamboo I don't have a solid timeframe to share at the moment, sorry.
-
Hey MS thanks for the feedback we really appreciate it! I've added you as a +1 to a backlog ticket we have for an audit log. I don't have an ETA for you on that but it's on our radar. Have you checked out our config as code feature by chance? Managed components can only be updated by modifying a `compass.yaml` file in a…
-
@Ole Treptow thank you so much for writing!! I've got this currently on deck for Q1 2024. I'm personally HIGHLY interested in shipping this for you as well and working on getting it out as soon we can. Thanks again for the validation!
-
Hey Robert, Compass doesn't store your source code. We process webhooks from Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab and store the related events and metrics detailed here in our docs https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/compass/integrations/integrate-Compass-with-GitHub/. If you use the config as code feature, we look for a…

Hey Florian we've got an early access version available for testing if you are interested. Just hit the "Give feedback" button in the upper right in Compass and ask if you can have the Snyk app enabled, when I see that come through I can enable it for your site. We expect the full release for all customers by end of…
