Cool you've figured it out! You might want to check and assign the Due Date field to the default Screen Schemes for new projects to use it. Jira might create new scheme for each project but you can reuse a Screen definition from a project to another (and pleaaaaase remove unused schemes). The global idea here would be, for…

Hi, Not a real expert but have some experience with plugins, I don't think it's feasable as the atlas-run command is meant to start a local SDK Jira instance, there's no direct link with your final addon here. Plugin Data might not come from anything external to its container (Tomcat), to be confirmed by advance experts…

Hi Oliver, It's technically not possible to disable the button but display it. If you want some feedback to the user when trying to perform the action, you could have some third party addons (free or paid) which will extend the workflow features. You might want to script it via ScriptRunner or SIL and automatically notify…

Hi Michael, Nested Groups are a different notion acutally: it's a way to have "groups within groups". Nested groups allows you to have users as members of groups in addition to other groups (which is a way to have subset of users). A "sys admins" groups embedded in an "IT" group for instance. That being said, when setuping…

Hi Emma, Can you tell us a bit more: do you have an error message when setting a due date? Is the field absent from certain screens/forms? What do you do when you try to fill in the due date? Thanks!
-
John, you can request new features and improvements through Atlassian’s Jira here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/BrowseProjects.jspa?selectedCategory=all&selectedProjectType=all The process for selection is pretty clear and well documented here:…

Hi John, Unfortunately Jira can't handle this as far as I know. Time values are always real values, not proportions. That being said you might want to have a look at third party apps if you need more features around time management (such as Tempo apps!). Hope this helps!

I see, those are automation rules! It seems that you need to be Service Desk Team (or at least view issues) + be allowed to perform all actions from the rule to be able to be used in the "Rule as". Can you make sure you have those permissions?
-
Hi Diego, Service Desk brings new permissions and needs to be handled differently! In a Service Desk project default permission scheme, Service Desk Team role is the only one allowed to work on issues (and therefore to be assigned or mentioned). You can either change it to extend to developers, or include your dev team in…

Hi James, I'm not sure if the notifications you mentioned are Service Desk Notifications or System (Jira native) notifications. I guess it's Service Desk and you can find the associated documentation here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/managing-service-desk-notifications-732528936.html (can switch to…

Yay!!! Love it!

Great article! Might sound familiar for some of us but there's so many tips that we all can benefit from at least a vast majority of it! Thanks for your hard work on putting this together!

Nice celebrations! Where's New York and @Community Manager?
-
Great certification so far, took it a few days ago, can't wait for results and feedback! Good luck everyone!
-
@Alexey Matveev, did you know you're 36.7% of the overall traffic on Community? :D
-
Happy Anniversary dear Community! So glad to be part of the Story! I'm so happy to help over others, meet new people and get to know more about the Team! Best memories so far have been meeting with great people, using the Champions Stride and chatting with some of you, but also through comments and threads! Another great…

Thanks and congrats to all winners! Some names are well known but I'm happy to see new people in the list, glad to have you all, let's make Community even better together :) Cheers!

You made my day @Monique vdB

@Tinker Fadoua so glad to know a bit more about you! You're a great person, with the best intentions and attitude, you must be a fantastic person to work with and I'm glad I've met you on Community, can't wait to meet in person :) Thanks for sharing a bit about you!

In Addition to Vasily's reply I would add that if you're using Cloud, you can directly manage your license tier through the subscriber's Atlassian Account (My Atlassian). If you're using server, you might want to purchase an upgrade to your license. Please note that all of your plugins licenses must match your product…
-
Hi Nina, yes I did use JEditor add-on to get the result from the above screenshot, please note that you might need to enable some addons modules as explained in JEditor’s documentation if you want to use it with Service Desk! Cheers!

Hi, Another goo practice is the "train the trainer" thing. If you don't want to spend too much, you might work with a Partner on getting some initial support + training material and courses for a limited audience. Once ready, those trained people can help others, we are using that mechanism here at National Bank of Canada:…

Hi Ken, It's indeed possible. I've done that for many customers and unfortunately can't share it here but you'll need to use VBA and a JSON Parser. Using Microsoft XML dependency you can create requests to Jira's REST API and parse the reply with a great JSON Parser (a lot of them are freely available on the web :) ).…

Hi Kelly, Short answer would be, yes you can. That being said, I know you need more and there's a whole Knowledge Base about this topic, you can find it here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/migrating-projects-to-another-jira-instance-933087747.html The different steps are located on the right side of…

Glad it helped! Feel free to accept my answer if it helped so that other can benefit from a solved topic :) Have a great day!
-
Very nice pictures! And a very interesting profile! Keep being an amazing Champion! A pleasure to know more about you: really like how you describe yourself :) Another great showcase by @Bridget

+1 here, if you're using Server, you can definitely choose in the Application tab which group of users is using each application (Core, Software, Service Desk). From there you can split your licenses no problem! An extended documentation is available here:…

Great finding! Glad you managed to solve it! Will check if I can reproduce!

OK got it, so the field had a value but it was "hidden" by the user property. Now that you put it on the screen again, if you hit "Edit" is it still missing from the view screen?
-
Hi There! Seems very weird to me, but here is my idea: on a Bug in the KTP project can you use the edit view to try the "Where is my field" helper? That should give interesting output... Let us know! Thanks
