One channel I've been hooked on for some time now is The Kiffness Super talented dude out of South Africa doing mashups with other artists and animals etc across the interwebs. The first video that caught me was this Then his amazing cat co-labs Check it out and say goooodbye to a few hours - in a good way!

You could also use SLA's to set timers for Instructors/tutors to turn around assignments

Hi @Jeremy Steuhl Cool question! I haven't used it for this purpose but could see value in having a Form embedded into a "Enroll" request type in Jira Service Manager so students can sign up to a course via a portal, access courseware via Confluence, upload assignments as attachments (or create Confluence spaces) and have…

Hi @Ben Weisman and @Joseph Chung Yin I really wanted to understand the Free plan automation execution limits so raised a support ticket and Atlassian confirmed what we suspected - awesome! If this answers your question Ben would you be so kind as to accept the answer? Thanks :)
-
Hi @Joseph Chung Yin Thanks for sharing this, looks similar to what I've seen out in the wild too. I saw the part that says "100/500 executions per month" for Free, but is this limited to multi-project or global rule executions? ie. if I only had rules contained at a Project level, would there be 0 execution limits? I…
-
Hi Ben Here's what I saw: Customers on Free and Standard plans have access to a limited monthly trial allotment of global and multi project rule executions (100 and 500 per month, respectively). Premium users have 1000 global and multi-project rule executions per paid user per month. Ex: 200 users in Jira Cloud Premium…

Hi @Ben Weisman I've found a couple of articles that state that the limit for automation rules is up to 1000 executions per month - for Global rules (ie rules that span 2 or more projects) https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Automations-execution-limit/qaq-p/1335552…

Hi @Monique vdB Thanks for the invitation, I'd like to take part please :)

Weird, is it the same customer or a range of customers? Do you know how they're adding comments? i.e is it directly through the portal or by a reply email? I wonder if it's via email if it's font/signatures etc that might be interfering Not really an answer but just thoughts that popped up
-
Hi Jorge, Should these 2 agents be barred from being assigned to all issues across projects, specific issuetypes, or just occasional issues? The reason I ask is that you may be able to achieve what you need with Issue Security Schemes. You could create 2x Security levels, 1 for the 2x agents that shouldn't see stuff, and 1…

Hmm not sure why this badge hasn't clicked yet, I've liked things, added comments, watched a few things and changed my bio up?

Hi @Nokhalil You can use the out-of-the box customer satisfaction service in Jira Service Management, this will send an email to the Reporter once the ticket has been closed asking them to score a star rating on the ticket. There isn't much customisation available for this but there are some ideas listed in this post…

Hi @Suporte JRetail I found a similar question yesterday https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Updating-Jira-work-tasks-from-JSM-and-vice-versa/qaq-p/2029058 Does any of this help?
-
Hi @Rob Horan Good shout, it's a sync tool but you could set it as a one-way-sync to JSM then kill off ServiceNow when you're ready. Getint.io claim to do migrations but don't outline an example from ServiceNow to Jira, although their app does sync between the two so it could be worth catching up with the developers there?…

Hi @Olha Onofriichuk_SaaSJet If you're open to using add-ons, Old Street Solutions has a really cool one called Custom Charts that lets you build dynamic dashboards that you can filter on https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220925/custom-charts-for-jira-reports?hosting=cloud&tab=overview So you could set up a report…
-
Hi Chris, That's an interesting use case. You could probably attach a file or zip file, or if you want to do it a bit more automagically you could set up an automation rule to add a comment with a link to a file in Dropbox etc if it meets certain criteria. E.g. On Create, if an issue is of issuetype "Request Software" and…
-
Hi Terry, Your internal users could create issues without a license if they are "Customers" They could create tickets via a mail handler or directly through the customer portal. You could create an Organization to act as a container for all of your internal users so it's easier to distinguish them from your other…

Hi Saurabh, Does the user have the "Assignable User" permission?

Hi Prabhu, Have you considered a connector add-on like Exalate or Getint.io? Regards Mike

lol Hana's reply about starring queues came in as I was typing this out. Sounds like the best option to simplify the UI for your agents
-
Hi Evert, Hana is right you can't hide queues from certain users in the same project, but one workaround could be to make certain issues invisible to certain users by using Issue Level Security. Here's a good article on what Issue Security Schemes are, and here's a video demonstration of setting one up. For example if you…
-
Cool glad you found a solution :) I did wonder though, why would you want to have a duplicate issuetype in Jira Work Management? Could you not achieve what you wanted by using collaborator "licenses"? I used the recursive transition example when an organisation wanted to keep their JSM license count down and use a project…
-
Hi Nigel, There are a couple of posts on this, do either of these options help?…
-
Hi Paul, Do your customers raise tickets via a Customer Portal? You could have a status for 1. "In Progress"/"Triage" (or similar) and a status for 2. "Waiting on Customer" and have transitions between the two e.g. 1-2 = "Request Info", 2-1 = "Reply to Service Desk" The "Reply to Service Desk" transition can be visible on…
-
Hi Pedro, John's right you can't make certain issuetypes available for certain users and some not. But something that might help is Issue Level Security. This will allow you to put a control measure in place so that people won't be able to see or do anything with the issuetype unless they belong to a particular security…

Hi Nick, Welcome to the Atlassian Community! Which podcast did you listen to? I've been listening to the Adaptavist Atlassian Ecosystem pod for a while and foind it really good https://www.adaptavist.com/podcast/atlassian-ecosystem Doesn't appear to be that many around for Atlassian related stuff, but maybe I'm lookin in…

Hi Simona, As an individual you'll need to complete the 2x free Sales and Technical Sales courses, and will need to complete 2x paid ACP exams - there's no requirement for particular "types" of exams unless you want to be an Atlassian Certified Expert Personally I went for the Managing Jira Projects (cloud and Data Centre)…
-
Hi Edison, Welcome to the Atlassian Community! I guess the question I'd have to ask is "what knowledge/skills do you need?" E.g. * Are you looking to upskill to pass an Atlassian Certification? * Does your job require Jira knowledge? If so, to what level? (user, Project Admin, Admin etc) * How do you best learn? do you…

Thanks @Bill Bailey that's a great start! I can see how that would be a really great way to bulk import Word Docs as Pages, but then each page would need manual configuration to make it a Knowledgebase article wouldn't it? (e.g. adding labels) Ideally we want to bulk import Word Docs as pages in a knowledgebase with as…
