Thanks, @Bill Sheboy . This is exactly what I needed.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it seems that doing an AQL Lookup does count as an action. So if I do an AQL Lookup and log the results, that counts against my executions.

Is there a way to use the "issue in linkedIssues()" function by specifying the link type id instead of a string that might change?

@Sebastian Hoehne (alt) I wasn't able to find the correct call for retrieving or adding comments on Assets Objects in the official documentation here: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/assets/rest/api-group-object/#api-object-id-get But I was able to find this doc that references comments, though the format of the call…

Just gonna leave this here: https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/contact-ceos

@Mikhail Kouyantsev , did you ever get this to work? I'm in a similar boat where I would like to pull the issuelinks for the parent, but the suggested Parent{issuelinks} does not seem to work.

If you’re on an annual Atlassian Cloud subscription and approve a valid annual quote dated prior to October 18th, 2023, limits in the new model will apply on the next renewal date. I reached out to an Atlassian rep to get a quote for a yearly renewal weeks ago and he still has not provided the quote. I followed up last…

Atlassian: "Don't worry, your team should be fine with the new limits." Also Atlassian: "Our new usage calculator shows that you've used 47% of your limit in 4 business days."
-
I just got the email from Atlassian about the changes and it states that our team should be under the new limits and not require any changes, but this is contrary to the actual numbers. According to my math, we will be using twice the allotted executions in all of our Standard tier products. How is Atlassian coming up with…

@Andrew Morse, the usage tool allows you to see total runs per automation rule for September, but the more helpful portion at the top is limited to the current month. So I will have to multiply the current counts by 30 to get a more accurate estimate of my monthly usage. I am confused about JPD though. It says it's going…

I've noticed that people are discussing the use of workarounds to avoid using Automation, particularly by reverting to deprecated tools from before Automation was bundled. A notable example of this is the utilization of post-transition functions in workflows. Unfortunately, it appears that Atlassian is ahead of us in this…
-
Our marketing teams are already using this. Time to see if it can support our tech departments.
-
This update, in addition to the sudden notice of licensing increases, is very disheartening. Our team has hundreds of automations if not thousands across the full Jira suite and Confluence. The more we use Atlassian products, the more features we find lacking, and the more often I have to automate workarounds. Now it…

This is a great new addition, but I would love to be able to convert a "Speed Mode" structure to a "Power Mode" structure should I discover later that I need more flexibility.
-
Hello Disha, There is a free tier, but you can only have 3 total creators. You can see the pricing options here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/product-discovery/pricing If you don't want to keep JPD, you should be able to migrate your issues to another project type using the bulk move options.…

Hello Janet, Without looking at the practice exam directly, it sounds like they want you to think of it like this: * Show all issues * Subtract epics * Subtract issues with the label BETA If you do something like this... type not in (Epic) AND labels not in (BETA) ...you will be inadvertently subtracting all issues without…

Hey Bill! Once again, you've given me the answer that I needed. Using the API call, I'm able to add an If check looking for {{webResponse.statusCategory}} = SUCCESS. Cheers!
-
Yeah, that's unfortunate, but I think you're right. Thanks for the help!

Hey Mark, As an example, a user may paste this into a comment: Please order a printer, model HD-1000. In this case, the string HD-1000 matches the regex in the first conditional. It looks like a Jira key. So the Lookup issues block runs this query: issue in (HD-1000) Since HD-1000 is not an existing issue key in our…
-
Hey Mark, I see the logic here, but what I have appears to work for the conditional. The "error" is happening before then. When the Lookup issues query contains invalid issue keys, it doesn't gracefully stop. I think I'll have to do an if/then before the Lookup issues, but I'm not sure what to base it on.

I have configured this in the past using Automation for Jira. It becomes clumsy. Essentially, I had to define a number of custom fields such as: * isRecurringTask * recurringFrequency * calendarType (this was to handle our financial calendar) * etc. Then I had to define a number of Automation rules that would trigger…

Hello @April Chi , I'm still seeing the same results as my post above. I wouldn't mind sharing screenshots, but not on a public forum. If you would like to start an email conversation, that would be great. As for if this is new behavior, my associate claims it is, but I don't often use that search functionality so I can't…

Thanks for this thread. I've been using a JPD project which automatically ranks new items at the top. I was able to use Bill's suggestion to create an Automation rule that finds the lowest-ranked item in the project and uses an API call to move the current issue below that lowest issue. /rest/agile/1.0/issue/rank {…

I am having more JSW users request this view. Is there a feature request that I can follow?
-
@Becky Drake You'll want to trigger based on value changes, then use a conditional to check for the specific value.
-
@Damian de Vries Thank you for sharing the JSON, this worked great for adding users to the Request participants field.
-
Thanks, @Trudy P Claspill . I ended up using the JQL from my post to avoid needing two rules. The suggestion from @Mikael Sandberg helped me with the last bit that I needed.
-
Thanks, @Mikael Sandberg ! That worked perfectly!

I regularly get access requests via the administration portal from users licensed with, for example, Jira Software licenses, that are trying to add someone to their project who does not have a Software license. I don't want them to be able to do this. We have a request portal form in a Jira Service Management project for…

Thank you for your helpful links. I've done some testing, and it seems that no matter what string I search, it prioritizes items that I have opened recently. I typed in the first four words of an issue summary, and Jira still listed nine other issues before the one that matched exactly. Also, I don't know why the cloud…
