Hey Mika, Great question. The short answer is yes, each team can have its own board, sprints, and sprint dates. The way Jira is structured is as follows: Project>Board>Sprint You can have multiple boards in each Jira project since boards are a filtered project. In Portfolio you would be able to define teams and associate…

Hi @Dave Sausville , If you are using time to estimate than the days/hours fields in Portfolio describe the remaining estimate in Jira. If you are using story points than the mapping is 1:1 with Jira's Story points. Please let me know if that makes sense, Roi

Hi @jbeg Firstly, thanks for your feedback. We noted your feature suggestion. The approach for capacity planning in the new UI is more lightweight. In our research, we found that adding the individuals' absences in the old UI was a cumbersome and redundant activity. We are constantly building more features in this area.…

Hi @Ron Grosberg ,Sorry to hear that,I would love to chat and learn what prevents you from realizing Portfolio's value. Feel free to schedule time with me in this linkCheers,Roi

Hi @Gil Adani Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you like the new interface. Hi @Another agile delivery person , Answering your question: "How do we assign a team to an issue outside of Portfolio, or get portfolio to display issues without a team assigned?" In Jira, you'll need to expose the Portfolio team field, see docs here…

Hi @Lindsay Czopur , Sorry if I got you confused. Looking again at your question. There is no automation that ties estimates, workflow transition, and visualization on the timeline. That is an interesting feature suggestion though. Roi

Hi Gregory, Glad to hear you are getting ready to get on the new Portfolio. There is no enterprise release for Portfolio, enterprise releases are only available for Jira and Confluence. There are no major precaution when updating from 2.13.1 to 3.x other than the fact that with the releases of Portfolio for Jira 3.0 and…
-
Hi Lindsay, I don't have a perfect answer, but I'll try to answer anyway :-) If I understand you correctly, you would like to use original estimate field as the estimate for capacity planning and timeline visualization in Portfolio plans. Portfolio uses the estimate field for capacity planning, to show you wether you're…

Hi felix.severa@reedexpo.at , Thanks for reaching out. Portfolio for Jira 3.x has capacity view that could be viewed, or shared in a link, or iFrame. Thanks Nic for your reply here. Just a small clarification, there are no plans to remove the ability to switch back to the old UI. Roi Fine | Product Manager

Yep, you are correct.

Hey @Janakiraman S , Sorry for that. Starting at 2.19 we have the button located in the config. Assuming you're using a version newer than 2.19, I would recommend you raise a support ticket in this link: https://support.atlassian.com/ Apologies for the inconvenience, Roi

Hi @Nidhi Gupta , The limits for issues are the same, but they apply only when you create the plan. For projects, there is a hard limit of 100. Please find more info here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/creating-plans-952623582.html I hope that make sense, Roi Fine | Product Manager

Hi @Janakiraman S , Switching between the old and new UI is easy. Just go to Plan>Configuration>Planning interface. The Plan configuration page can be accessed in the Plan UI by hitting the "more" button next to the Plan's name. I hope this helps. Cheers, Roi Fine | Product Manager
-
Hi @Lincoln Dwight , I don't have a great answer here, because their is no concept of an "owner" to a plan. The best thing you could do is to go to the plan>configure>permissions. In that view you would see who has edit permissions. I hope that helps, Roi | Product Manager
-
Hey @Julia Hoffmeister , The new redesign applies for Portfolio plans only, the Portfolio program view wasn't changed. I hope that helps, Roi Fine | Product Manager
-
Hi @Alexander Bondarev , Great questions! 1. Yes, in Portfolio 3.2 we added a progress breakdown bar for estimates as well - check this doc 2. You can still use Live plans today in Portfolio for Jira version 3.0 and above, but classic plans (Portfolio 1.x) are not supported any more I hope that helps, Roi | Product Manager
-
Hi Andy, To make this work you will need to have: 1. Portfolio for Jira Server installed (any version above 2.13) 2. Epics with Parent link assigned to the initiative you are looking for it's children 3. Stories with Epic link assigned to the linked Epics above For points 2,3 have a look at this previous post…

Hi @Ming Cheng , The Themes feature is not part of Portfolio 3.0 offering. In the new experience, you can use Jira custom fields instead to color your roadmap work items. Hi @Heather Mardis , My name is Roi, and I'm a product manager in the team. You can easily view, filter, create dependencies in Portfolio for Jira. To get your issues dates' adjust automatically when changing other issue's date or estimate, I would recommend you to check the Auto-scheduling feature. More details can be…

Hi @Jean-Francois Levesque, My name is Roi, and I'm a product manager in the team. The target dates do not relate to the estimate field, nor the logged work / remaining time / original estimates. If your teams are working Scrum, Target dates could be inferred by the issues' sprint assignments. I.e: If you assign an issue a…
