Regarding using a checklist as an approval solution - Checklists for Jira includes a searchable, sortable, downloadable audit history capturing interactions with the checklist. It's a good option that doesn't require configuration from the Jira admin, and is available in Free and Standard instances.

@Darryl Lee It's a good point. You might want to consider a third party app like Checklists for Jira. You can set permissions on who can modify the checklist so it could replace a Jira checklist field.

Hi @Konstantin Siegert , At the moment, Action Items, do not seem to work with Automation. This is a good case for using Checklist for Jira. You can see a full feature comparison table here.

Hi @Rohith k and @Vishal , May I recommend the app - Checklist for Jira. It allows you to create checklists and mention users on items. Users can see all of their mentions on a dashboard gadget and/or Jira page. Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have this question as well. Found the answer here. But am still having trouble. The fields now show on the portal, but the entered data doesn't show on the issue view even though I have configured the view permission for the field. Anyone from Ricksoft out there to help?

Okay, problem resolved. The "user" in this case was an integration and it did not have JSM product access. But after a bit of digging we realized the names we were seeing were not JSM customers (good news!). Time to go do a little clean up of my groups.
