Hey @Nikola Perisic do you know where/when this was announced? The mystery of coloured labels in native Jira persists! Still today, there are some instances where all the built-in labels come up as different colours (which you can't control/customise). And then there are some instances where all the labels are still grey.…

You've said: Cloning can preserve child work items, but only one level deep. If you clone an epic, Jira will copy the epic and its direct child work items (like stories or tasks), but not their subtasks. I don't think this is correct. Native cloning (without automation) will only clone the epic itself, not any child…

Thanks so much Nic!

A good reason why there should be a setting in Confluence (and Jira!) where you can turn it on/off per space. Or maybe it could be a user preference.

Yes! Jira and Confluence both doing it drives me even nuttier. I work in Confluence and I work in Jira and I want them both open, I could do with Jira not assuming "oh, you're done with this issue" if I click on a Confluence link in an issue. More often than not, I'm NOT done with the issue.

Thanks for your reply. It does seem like everyone's concern is for readers and their experience, rather than for writers and theirs. Those accessibility guidelines again seem focused only on the reader experience. Surely it can be conceded that if a writer is working in a Confluence space that's dedicated to creating…

This is a much more helpful reply, thank you! I'll look into that extension, although I still don't see why Confluence can't add this an option on a space-by-space basis.

I disagree. Confluence is as much for writers as it is for readers. You're only coming at this from the readers' perspective (and only some readers; even as a reader, I prefer links to auto-open in new tabs). This is why I think Confluence should at least provide the option to have this functionality. Continually…

But for our purposes it's not. Like I said, it's a space for working and collaborating on documents. We don't use Word, we don't use Google Docs. We use Confluence to write all our content. What you're saying sounds like public Confluence documentation spaces, which is why I suggested that they could perhaps have a…

Ah, but I'm not using Confluence to "read web pages". Confluence is much less a knowledge base to me than a workspace, and I'm using it to work on documents. And I often need to work on/refer to many documents at once. So to me, the poor user experience is the extra unnecessary clicks. Maybe when it comes to public…

Thanks! Ooo, do you know which vendor?

Thanks for your reply! A document management platform is 100% what I would call it, though. At Old Street, we write all our content in Confluence, and if you're writing an article, you're frequently going to need to refer to previous articles. Equally, you might be working on multiple articles at the same time. A wiki, to…

Yup, thanks Thiago! I had no idea it wasn't a Confluence thing, I've changed the language settings in Google Chrome; UK spellings are no longer being underlined in Confluence - yay!

So I'm in Google Chrome and I never thought of this. But I've just amended my language settings in Chrome from US English to English and now it's working!!! Thanks so much! (And thank you for the welcome :) )
