  • Hi @Emanuele Tonetti As Robert mentioned, there is only one List view and it cannot be duplicated or saved as several views. If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you might be interested in the app my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira. JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your Jira…
  • Hi @Natalie Keane Daniel here from the JXL team. From your description of the problem, I assume that this is unrelated to the sheet scope, which you probably did not change. It sounds more like you might have applied column filtering to a Status column, and are trying to unset that now. Find all Status columns in your…
  • Hello @Manuela Welcome to the community! As mentioned by Marc, Atlassian does not offer an equivalent to the Jira Cloud list view in Data Center. Your best bet are apps from the Atlassian Marketplace. If you're open to that, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira. JXL is a…
  • @Corinne Guibert that's correct. JXL is a spreadsheet-like view, and currently doesn't have a side-by-side timeline like Jira plans. For that, you'd need to stick to plans or consider another Marketplace app. I believe BigPicture might be helpful.
  • Hello @Corinne Guibert As mentioned by Trudy, Plans unfortunately don’t offer these capabilities. If you are open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira. JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your Jira data that allows…
  • This is awesome Tanya. Merging the two views will make things much clearer and the new capabilities are great additions! I want to take the opportunity for a reminder for customers who are looking even beyond what the powerful new merged list view offers at this point. If you are open to solution from the Atlassian…
  • Hi @Jason Patrick Welcome to the community. As suggested, you can set this up using multiple projects. Just as food for thought, another way to implement the exact hierarchy you are looking for is via work item linking. Work item links give you full flexibility in how you can model your hierarchy, even in team-managed…
  • Hi @HQRAZAHS If I understood correctly, you are looking to apply multiple filters to a set of work items, including a relative date filter (e.g. Due date within next X days/weeks). If you are open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for…
  • Hi @Maria Flores If I understood correctly, you are looking to organise work items in cascaded/nested groupings. It sounds like you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, so you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira. JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for…
  • Hi @Guy As already suggested, this isn't currently possible in the Subtasks panel of the work item view, however if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you should get pretty close.See e.g. this thread for potential paths forward. Cheers, Daniel
  • Hi @Chris Rhodes I'd second Trudy's approach here. The most straightforward solution would be the Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget by Atlassian. Just as food for thought, if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, there's also a number of apps available that you can use to create views that will…
  • Hi @Jay McKelvey I'd second Walter's approach here. There are certain semantics associated with work item level #1 (by default called "Epic"), e.g. in how such work items are displayed in the Jira Software backlog view, etc. So while it is possible (and not uncommon) to rename level #1, just be mindful that it may become…
  • Hi @Vanessa Friedrich Welcome to the community! As mentioned by others here, there is no native feature in Jira that enables you to measure time in status. Personally, I have found the automation-based approach useful. If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, I'd like to recommend another app that my…
  • Hi Laurent, Welcome to the Atlassian Community. I'm on the JXL team and glad you asked this, as we have had other customers struggling to find their sheets in the new navigation experience. Rest assured that the Sheets item is still there. In Jira Cloud, the project navigation is now a horizontal tab bar, which results in…
  • Hello Denis, Welcome to the Atlassian Community. I'm on the JXL team and hope to be able to help out here. Sorting If you are looking to sort the issues in your sheet by multiple fields, use an ORDER BY clause in the JQL query (Jira Query Language) of your sheet scope. You can find the syntax here in Atlassian’s…
  • Hi Steve. Please see my response on your other post here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/JXL-The-Description-field-doesn-t-support-inline-editing-Can-you/qaq-p/2977469#U2978500
  • Hello Steve, Thanks for your post. I'm on the JXL team and can shed some light on this. I'm assuming you're using Jira Cloud, but correct me if I got that wrong. In Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center, the rich text formats Atlassian uses differ. There’s ADF (Atlassian's proprietary format), wiki markup (also an Atlassian…
  • Hi @Camila Albuquerque – I'm on the JXL team with Hannes. Assuming the tickets in your screenshot do indeed have star ratings set, the relevant cells of the Satisfaction column should show these, like this: Could I ask you to contact us at appf.re/help-center and quickly describe the problem to our support team. This looks…
  • Hello Natalie and Marc, Assuming the app is actually installed (as opposed to only approved) in the Jira site, the permissions should have been set automatically so that all users can view and edit sheets by default in all projects. You shouldn't have to manually do that. However, in rare cases this fails due to known bugs…
  • Hi Lois – Welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question about JXL. Conditional formats in JXL sheets can be applied to individual fields and table columns. Could I ask you to get in touch with us about the above at https://support.jxl.app so that we can look into it together in more detail? Thanks! Daniel
  • @Matt Budnyj Above-mentioned BigPicture and Structure are good solutions, and then there is also JXL for Jira. It enables you to view and edit any issue type hierarchy you like, based on the Parent field and based on issue linking. You can inline-edit issues in highly customizable tables, copy-paste fields, sum up, rank,…
  • Hi Bevis. Not sure I understood correctly, but if you're using Column filtering on the Assignee column (as opposed to JQL) to filter out User X, this will by default apply to all rows, i.e. hide any issues not assigned to User X. Level-specific search and filtering could help you here to apply the column filtering…
  • Hi Bevis, If I understood correctly, you’d like to capture all issues assigned to a specified user and the child issues of these issues, even though they are not assigned to the user. This is not possible in native JQL without using any third-party extensions such as ScriptRunner, however, luckily JXL for Jira can help…
  • @Irene yes please do. HTTP431 (Request Header Fields Too Large). The error is back now. I can't use the panel in the backlog anymore unless I log out an back in every few hours. Please fix.
  • @Irene for security reasons we won't be able to allow Atlassian staff to access our data. What's causing the error is that the request to /jsw2/graphql?operation=EpicPanelEpics fails with an HTTP431 (Request Header Fields Too Large). Logging out and back in to my Atlassian account made the problem go away.
  • Hate to say it but the culmination here is that you broke our our backlog. Any attempt at showing the epic panel results in an error flag: "Something's gone wrong. Refresh the page and try again. ERROR: 1SJ8SGG" The inside of the "Epic" menu (not sure why it's called that again because we renamed epics) up in the page…
  • Thanks for the update, this looks great Meg. Looking forward to trying it out. We at JXL for Jira know that Jira users love nesting their issues in deep hierarchy structures. Shameless plug: For anyone interested in managing their work like this beyond the standard Jira issue type hierarchy and beyond Jira Work…
  • Thanks for the update, this looks great Emily! Looking forward to trying it out. We at JXL for Jira know that Jira users love editing issues in bulk. Shameless plug: For anyone interested in managing their work like this beyond the backlog and Jira Software, grab a free trial of JXL here. In JXL sheets, you can simply…
  • Hello Bevis. Thanks for your question. I'll take this one, as I work on the team behind JXL. Currently, there is no way to include these view preferences in your exports. We have planned to optionally include conditional formatting, hierarchy, structure, grouping, etc. in our export feature. This is on our short to…
  • @Yatish Madhav custom commands for apps would be awesome, too. Good point! What I was asking @Em Ditchfield is even more basic though. The ⌘K command simply doesn't work while a user has an app page focused (e.g. a jiraProjectPages module). We'd love it if it just worked everywhere in Jira, including in app experiences,…
