Hey @Andrew Mirauta Marketplace apps give you a 30 day trial of an app and will then bill based on the amount of users you have. This is a pretty decent time to test the app out and you can stop the trial at any time. Note: If you haven't already, see if you can use the jira dashboard and some of the out of the box gadgets…

Hey @Nick van der Net Plenty of options to consider, no hard and fast solution. RE: How should I record these items and the associated time we spend on them? Determine if you are using story points OR time. In my opinion, if you are using story points, then that's your measure. The points are meant to take away from…

Not a problem at all, happy to help out! If you're happy with the answer it would be awesome if you could mark the answer as accepted :) Cheers Ash

Ahhh yes - I know why :) I was showing you the kanban view, how it behaves in the sprint is (I believe) by design and here's my reasoning. The whole idea of a sprint is to plan the work first. Yes you will find that you will be adding/removing tasks as you go but really when it comes to sprints, if you're adding a new…
-
Hey @Jacob Rasmussen I updated my original comment to include the ability to do it from the sprint board (it's now option 1). So hopefully that sorts you out :) As far as raising feature requests, check this out for more info https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/implementation-of-new-features-policy-201294576.html

Hey @Nick van der Net So many ways that you could potentially set this up but IMO it sounds like what you have there is ok. Epics are ok to capture work within a feature/application as Epics can span out across a period of time (say a few sprints, months etc). Having your tasks types (eg Stories, Bugs) within the epic make…
-
Hey @Jacob Rasmussen If you want to add issues directly to epics there's 2 methods you could look at here in a next-gen project. Option 1 On the sprint board, select the epic and click "create issue" that will automatically add it to the epic. Option 2 Add child issues via the Roadmap function (if you have that enabled for…

Hi @Bill, This isn't Atlassian support, but a community of users :) You could try this JQL (I've italicized the fields you would need to input). project = XYZ AND status changed BY youruserid AND status changed to done AND resolutiondate > "2020/12/01 00:00" AND resolutiondate < "2020/12/31 00:00" Explanation * project: is…
-
@Zeke Furness you could try this (if you haven't already) * Trigger: When issue assigned * Assign: Your group * Action: Send email (nominate an email address and you can populate the message) Also if it's more about escalation and those kind of things you could always check out opsgenie (which is part of…

Cheers @Matt Coombs kindly accept the answer if it's all good with you :)

Merry Christmas @Adam Foot Changing the actor I think works, however there is caution to be taken with that as well. However it does work :) note the NGD-50 is the one i set up as me being the actor. Hopefully that (now) has helped you get cracking with automation! Cheers and a happy new year Ash

Yep I have ideas :) Within the task/sub task settings you can choose the fields to set, so in that case I chose the assignee and the reporter (though it should work for whatever fields you have set up the require an assignee) - then you just specify who you want it to be assigned to. Works a treat for me.
-
Hey @Matt Coombs I have heard back from Atlassian and it's been recently raised as a bug here CONFCLOUD-71313: Agile Wallboard Gadget formatting is broken. To get updates on the progress I'd suggest for you to add yourself as a watcher :) In the meantime though, the wallboard gadget does work in the dashboard, so you could…

You're welcome @Jonathan Enns :)

Ok so with scheduling I think you will need to use the branch rule function. In my example below I wanted to have a task created with sub tasks every day, so I set it up similar to what you did, however used the branching rule for the most recently created issue (which is that task) to create 2 sub tasks. I think that will…

Hello again @Adam Foot I only added in the condition to specific adding the task type only, so it's not required really, that's just how I'd filter it down to "task only". To assign a user I just used the "add fields" part of the sub-task automation and was able to automate the assignee to the reporter. There are plenty of…
-
Hey @Adam Foot I believe you would want to select the "Create sub tasks" action. Basically * When: Issue created * Condition: Issue type equals task * Action: Then create x sub tasks That should do it :)
-
Than unfortunately you cannot add an issue type. Only jira (not project) admins can do that in a classic project.
-
Hey @Jonathan Enns I'm assuming you've had a read of this article over here https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/learn-the-differences-between-classic-and-next-gen-projects. Theoretically you could have multiple next-gen projects going and monitor them (via dashboards etc) but the challenge is…
-
Hey @Louis Liew You can only add a new issue type in the JIRA Settings, not in a classic jira project. Do you have access to do that?
-
That sounds like a bug by the looks. I've tried to use the widget in our cloud account and experienced a similar error. Have raised that as a support ticket so will see what comes of it! Workaround though It does work in the Jira dashboards so you could use that there, Depending on what you're wanting to achieve you could…

I saw these and they're awesome, really easy to set up and use. Well done!

Hey @Daniel Lamando It doesn't look like you're going to get much love with this one, see https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/auto-move-from-backlog-to-a-board-column/qaq-p/1212665 and https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-2037 However a potential workaround for your use case * Disable…

Here's where you would do that https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ Best of luck!

Love it! I will earn them all (or just a couple).... @Monique vdB just noticed the link earned your high-five along the way is broken (invalid parameters error), This is unfortunate as I for one - like many - enjoy the high-five :) Also to be clear (if I wasn't already) not this Hi-5. That is all.
-
Hey Rohit, Seems like it's working for me in a cloud instance. My suggestion would be (if you haven't already) see if the issue still persists when you log in incognito (Chrome). If that solves it, clear cache/cookies. If not, maybe it's related to the files you're uploading, either way at the point might be worth lodging…

It should be visible to access via that icon on the top right of your screen, or you should be able to access it under Project Settings > Apps > Project automation
-
Oh that sounds painful! Ahhh yeah just checking a next-gen project and that JQL won't work :( You could try this one project = "XYZ" AND status = Done and resolutiondate <= 30d That shows all "done" items in the last 30 days, you could refine that if you wish. Also re next-gen versioning - it doesn't remove the task when…
-
Hey Martin, I don't recall seeing that in my use of next-gen. To do this though you could find all issues resolved within the time frame eg project = xyz and resolved > "2020/12/08 00:00" AND resolved < "20206/12/12 00:00" Then perform a bulk change and add the fix version that way?

Hey Petter - unsure if this is the right place to provide feedback but that module in the course is crazy frustrating. All modules (so far) even the ones clearly recorded at this time (around 2014) * Provide feedback on what was incorrect * Allow you to retake this quiz (this you have to restart the module) * Actually…
