The Description field in the Release doesn't support rich text or html. I don't think that you can get the desired result.

@Karthik mvp Can you post a screen shot of the error message that you are getting?

I don't know of a smart value that will return the list of linked issues for an issue. What I did was to evaluate a Jira expression and use the return value in a comment. This works if there is a single linked issue. If there is more than one linked issue, then you will need to do more work: The web request is as follows…

@Exty Ypsilonty Welcome to the community. If you are working in Data Center, then this sounds like a good candidate for a custom JQL function, which you can implement in ScriptRunner. I don't have a suggestion for you if you are in the Cloud.

Adding to what @Trudy P Claspill responded, you can add a set of permissions at one time to a role or group or user. Instead of going one-by-one, you use the "Grant Permissions" button. This will ask you to select the type of user you are adding and then you can select all of the permissions that role should have. This is…

The smart value for a link is {{issue.url}}. Does that help or did I misunderstand the question.

Look at the Default Field Configuration. Someone probably set those fields to be required in that Configuration and when you create a new Field Configuration, that is the one that it copies from.
-
That did the trick. I am confused about when to use asObject(Map) version asObject(List). The return value without ".body" looks like a Map to me.

You can trigger an Automation from a Transition by calling it through a Webhook post-function

Thanks to @Ram Kumar Aravindakshan _Adaptavist_ I relooked at my code and I found that by specifying the complete path, the classloader worked. The corrected code is def cname = 'my_class.my_class1' def a = this.getClass().classLoader.loadClass(cname)?.newInstance() This successfully loads the class.
-
Thanks - that was a typo when I was creating the sample. My code imports the class correctly. I don't think it has to do with the import statement. I think it has to do with the CLASS_PATH not covering subdirectories.
-
Excellent - thanks.

How do you know if an image is a duplicate? I assume it is purely based on the filename - can you confirm?
-
@Kevin Bui - Unlike most of the angry posts, for my client, this is a welcome change because they can live with the 5,000 executions per month for their JSM automations. The problem is they have today is that most of their projects utilize the same set of automations across all of the projects and that was causing them to…

No, I did not get an answer to this question.

You haven't provided enough information to know what you are trying to do or what problem you are running into. * What is "logic apps"? * Are you trying to connect Jira to Sharepoint? * Is this Cloud or Server? * Are you trying to make a REST call or something else?
-
Are you looking to bring in the log files (e.g., atlassian-jira.log) or the auditing records that Jira creates and maintains in the database?
-
Is there any value that is being shown where you have referenced {{issue.brands}}? The syntax is correct.
-
The error is coming from your browser and appears to be associated with the SSL certificate. Try clearing out your browser cache and restart.

@Venkat Ravichandran This is from so long ago that I have no recollection of what we did to fix the problem. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

A 403 Error usually indicates that the server doesn't support the specific request that you are sending. I don't know Jenkins, so I can't be help with the specifics. Can you check that "POST" is the correct method and that it isn't expecting a GET or a PUT? Normally, if you have the wrong credentials, you will get a 401…

When you created the Automation, did you create it in the first project? Automations can be global or limited to a single or a set of specific projects. Depending on how you created it, it may not be enabled for the new project. To check, go to the System menu and then select Global Automation. You should see your…

@Wyatt Best Welcome to the community. Your customers will only see the portals/projects to which to you give them access. We have several clients who implement what you want. We set up a project for each of their customers. Within that project, we restrict access only to users who are explicitly given access to that…

I came across this post as I was trying to figure out the same problem and realized that the advice, at least for Cloud 2023, is not completely accurate. If you are trying to import Sub-tasks where there parents already exist, you do not need to import that parents as well. You only need to have an empty "Issue ID" column.…
-
@Chris Hubbs This isn't a direct answer to your question, but why are you moving the issue type? In general, a process that requires you to Move issues from one type to another is an indication of a faulty process. Having re-read your note a few times, I think that your first sentence should have be written: We've setup…

Are you looking for a way to have Jira send a message to Azure to start/stop mail forwarding? If so, Jira can call a REST API, if Azure offers one for this purpose. You can use the "Send Web Request" action in Automation for Jira to do that.
-
@Ram Kumar Aravindakshan _Adaptavist_You answered my question, which is that it isn't a bug. I just wasn't retrieving the field correctly. Once I changed my script to retrieve the field as "Reporter", it worked as expected. Maybe worth adding that to the documentation somewhere? Or maybe I missed it?
-
@Joseph Chung Yin Thank you for your answer. You are correct, that field populates the Reporter when the form is submitted and the issue is created. However, until the form is submitted, there is no Reporter. I need to know the value of that field so that I can pre-populate values before the form is submitted.
-
@Ram Kumar Aravindakshan _Adaptavist_ I appreciate the answer. However, I want to pre-populate the fields with current information on the form so that the user can then change the values that they want to change when they create the ticket. I want the agent to see the values associated with the person that they have…

I am stumped - you should see both yourself and the other user in the list of available users. I even set up my own free site and tried it there and it worked exactly as expected.
