Hello @Athmene Mars , This feature is not native of Jira, however, you could implement it using an Automation rule which you would trigger when a component is changed in an issue. This process would be 100% free. However, you need to be a Jira Administrator to implement this solution. Let me know if it helps, Guilhem

Happy to help :)

Hello @Prabhu Chilukuri , Indeed you could imagine such a system using an Automation rule. Depending on the selected value, you could set a date to you custom field using the "Edit Fields" action, and use an "If/Else" block to chose the different values of your dropdown field. I'll show you an example; on it, I'm editing…

Hello @Mohamed Shoeb Yes indeed, there is a Jira free plan which offers less functionalities than the Jira Standard and Premium plans but that you can definitely use for free. You can start your new site from the following link…

Thank you for your answer Alexis ! I agree with you, I took some classes which use this tool too and I liked them too

Yes it is, it's just that is is currently charged. Here is the link to the Add-On : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212137/insight-asset-management?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Hola Vero !

Hi @Sheree MacNinch , I'll give you a list of the smart values you could use : * Issue Type : try {{issue.issueType.name}} * Request Type : for the child value : ({{issue.IT Request Issue Type.child.value}}, for the parent value : ({{issue.IT Request Issue Type.value}} * Request Area : {{issue.customfield_10066.value}} *…

Hello @Prabhu Chilukuri , No there won't be any effect if it's not associated with any project. It just won't be available any more :) Guilhem

Happy to help !

Hi Gregor, Unfortunately as far as I know you won't be able to achieve this in a Next-Gen project :/ If you really rely on the Roadmap feature, I'm just letting you know that this feature is available in classic projects if you have a Premium Jira licence, depending on the use you have of roadmaps it might be worth the…

Hi Kerri, This is not normal at all, it should work then. I'm afraid you won't have much more choice but to raise an issue to the Atlassian Support and see what they can do on their side :/ The Atlassian Support for Jira Software : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/

Hello @Chiara Spadavecchia , In order to achieve that you need to have Jira Adminsitrator access to your Jira instance. You can then set the permissions the way you want to by creating a specific Permission Scheme and then associating it with your projet. The following documentation page will probably help you a lot in the…
-
Hello @artmy_mx , There is no global answer to this question; "In Analysis" and "In Progress" are Jira Statuses that were created by an Administrator of your Jira instance. If you have any questions about their use, you should ask directly to the creator of the considered Workflow (ask a Jira Administrator). Let me know if…
-
Hello @Jonathan Blackwell , You can do it by clicking on Dashboards => View all Dashboards. Then, in the options, you can Edit and Share the Dashboard, even of a private Dashboard created by another user if you're an Admin. Let me know if it helped, Guilhem
-
Hello @Gregor Pichler , The problem comes from the project type : Next-Gen projects only have a limited amount of permissions (you can chose between 3 options) and the Next-Gen roles are different than the one you set; Next-Gen projects use their own project roles. If you want to be able to define more into details the…
-
Hello @unnikrishnan , You can achieve this in a Kanban or Scrum project, by going to the Board Settings => Swimlanes and basing your Swimlanes on "Stories". Let me know if it helped, Guilhem

Hi @Ellis Carvalho , As a mater of fact there is no bad practice in both of these options; my opinion would be to create an Automation rule in order to keep the Workflow as simple as possible in case you intend to reuse it in another project one day, but adding a trigger in the Workflow is also good otherwise. I am not…

Yes, In order to make your rule work, you would have to make sure that the reporter field in Jira is filled with a reporter corresponding to your Else-If condition, or edit this condition. Otherwise the actions after the condition won't be triggered.

Hello @Kerri Simpson , If you want this description to appear in your customer portal, you have to also add it it in you Project Settings => Request Type, then edit each request forms you want it to appear in (in the Field help) :
-
Hi @Stefan Neil Oh okay I think I get it now ! So the problem is due to the condition you put before the issue creation part of your automation : you check the reporter email address for a specific value. Which user do you set as reporter when you bulk create issues ?

Hi @SU, Derek R , In this case I guess you should create a ticket in the Scriptrunner service portal, they provide really good answers sometimes ! You have to insist a bit sometimes However, if you write to them, try and be as clear as you can. I think a Screenshot or a picture will really increase your chances of getting…

Hi Jake, I can't find any information about it in the CFD documentation, however I guess it is the expected result, at least this is how it worked on my instance. GD

I know that this is probably doable using ScriptRunner but I am not a ScriptRunner expert, I don't know how, sorry :/
-
Hello Taylor, In fact, your problem could directly linked to the one you saw on groups; depending on how you Jira instance is configured, access to roles can be given through groups. You can check that from your Project Settings => People. If the access to the "Service Desk Team" rôle is given through a group, then your…

Hello Stefan, I think this is a problem of Scope; you are using a Single project scope targeting the project "ExternalPortal" but your rule creates an issue in another one. Can you try to change the scope to Mutli-Projects and Add at least both of your projects ? Your rule will then be limited to 500 monthly executions as…

Hi @SU, Derek R , I don't understand what you meen by the pop up interface of the portal's conversion workflow, could you please share with me a screenshot ? Thanks, Guilhem
-
Hi @Jeff Miner , In order to make it appear in the issues you want, you need to add the field to the correct Screen. You can check which screen you need to edit by going to your project => settings => Screens and see which screen is associated with which issue type. Let me know if it helped, Guilhem

Nice to hear !

Hello @PhilSpo , As far as I know, there is no other way to do this but creating a dedicated Script. It is not an easy operation. However, if this other number was contained in a Jira custom field too you could do what you just explained using an Automation rule, i don't know if it is a viable option for you.
