There isn't very much in terms of product reports in Jira Align that show the allocated budget. The only report that I can think of is the Progress By Product report. Unfortunately, there isn't a Jira Align help page the explains the calculation of values in the report that I can refer you to. Some of the other reports can…

@Abhinav Reddy If you are using a Developmental Process Flow in Jira Align to manage the flow of Themes, you can set the specific process step when updating or creating a theme through the API. To get the ID number of the process step, you will need to use the Value Streams (known as Process Flows in the Jira Align UI) GET…

@Saima Siddiqui When you refer to product line is that terminology that is specific to your company and does that represent an object in Jira Align like a Portfolio, Program, etc.?
-
@Annelie Brehm Is this a Jira related question? If yes, you need to post your question on the Jira Community as you posted the question on the Jira Align Community.
-
@Abhinav Reddy Since that toggle is set to off it could be a bug. I suggest opening a ticket with Jira Align support to help troubleshoot the issue. As for the field name displaying "Parent", in Jira Align work items a level above in the work item hierarchy are commonly referred to as the parent. On the Capability Detail…
-
@Chris Boersma In the system (user) role permissions, go to Program -> Manage -> Program Objectives and turn on the toggle Add/Save. That will enable the Save button to appear on the Detail Panel for Objectives.
-
@Abhinav Reddy In the Detail Panel Setting of the Portfolio for Capabilities, is the Required toggle for Product Bundle (Epic) turned off? This will not make it required to assign an epic (Product Bundle) to a capability when you create it.
-
@Abhinav Reddy Did you rename the feature work item and product to capability and product bundle in your Jira Align instance? If this is what I think you are referring to then the Product field is a required field for features if enabled (enabled when Manage Products = Yes under Platform -> Manage Portfolio Specifications.…

@vray There isn't a way to export Status Reports from the Backlog. In the Status Reports, you can view them by Portfolio. From there you can export them individually.
-
@Saima Siddiqui to manage the readiness of epics and features in Jira Align we typically recommending using the Backlog Kanban Process Flow View in the Backlog. This enables you to set up a custom Kanban process flow with process steps you define. You can also set up Exit Criteria for each process step. Your portfolio and…

@amy schneider you can get data to measure flow distribution (features, defects, risks and debts) by program increment from the grid views in Jira Align. Before navigating to the grid views in Jira Align make sure to select the program and program increment in the Configuration Bar. For features and risks, navigate to the…
-
Hi @Abhinav Reddy , I suggest checking the state mapping in the Jira Connector for the Jira project that your features (Jira epics) are syncing with. In the Administration console, navigate to Jira Settings under Connectors. On the Manage Projects tab, click on State Mapping on the right of the row associated with the Jira…
-
@Suzanne Seaton The Service Desk project will be mapped to Jira Align for the issues to sync with Jira Align as stories. The issues in the service desk project need to use the same issue types and fields that the other Jira projects used. The Jira project that is created with the modified query filter to pull in the…
-
@Derwin Roland You can assign a product to a parent product in the product details. There is very limited reporting for products. Reporting for products in Jira Align is limited. The Product Room can be viewed by child products and the Progress By Product report displays the parent product and the child products. Jira…
-
@Hina Tufail You can submit ideas for enhancements through the Jira Align idea portal. You will need to click Register on the login to create a login and once approved you can submit an idea. There is a community article written by the Jira Align product team that explains how to submit an idea.
-
@Hina Tufail There are limited fields that sync between a Jira Bug and a Jira Align Defect work item. The Jira Data Synchronization article on the Jira Align knowledge base has a table that provides a list of fields that sync between Jira Bug and a Jira Align defect. The fields that you referenced cannot be mapped to a…

@Tim Young Splitting features that don't complete within a PI is a good option for handling carryover work. When you split a feature in Jira Align the feature will be split into a part 1 and part 2. The part 1 of the feature will have all the accepted stories linked to it and the part 2 of the feature will have all the…
-
@GregPearson , @Tom O_Connor is correct about the user needing permissions to the Jira project where the feature (Jira epics) are created. I actually was working with a user that experienced this issue yesterday. The user created a feature in Jira Align but was assigned the Jira epic and it was due to the user not having…
-
@Mike C There isn't a way to directly view a trend of flow efficiency and flow time over time in Jira Align. You could create an Objective and associate Key Results in Jira Align to track these metrics overtime. Then use the Check-In functionality of Key Results to track the flow efficiency and flow time over a specified…

@Vera du Preez - Team roles are not configurable and you cannot create additional team roles to assign users on the Team Members tab of Teams in Jira Align. You can add new System roles in Jira Align.
-
@Vinay Sharma that is correct. If you move a team during the middle of the PI you may see some adverse effects to the reports and views in Jira Align such as what you described with the Program Board. It is better to make this type of change at the end of a PI as you mentioned.
-
@Vinay Sharma there isn't an issue with mapping an existing team to a new program. There is a community article on how to do that. Here is a link to the article. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Align-articles/Jira-and-Jira-Align-Integration-Migrating-an-integrated-Jira/ba-p/1276573 If the new program does not use…

Hi @[deleted] ! When importing features and stories into Jira Align using the import template it is not possible to specify the Jira project. You will need to update the Jira project field manually in the Details Panel after the features and stories have been created through the import.
-
Hi @robert.nadon , the Personas field has to be enabled in the Details Panels Settings for the Story work item in the Jira Align administration. See the screenshot below. Once enabled you can associate Personas to Stories.
-
@Vinay Sharma you can display the Jira IDs for features on the Program Board by toggling on the Show External IDs in the User Preferences can be found by going to User Menu > User Preferences.
-
I don't have visibility on when it will be available.
-
@Rizwan Hasan the importing of objectives is currently not available in Jira Align.
-
@Lenne Welch you do not need to created duplicate epics and capabilities for your ART. Multiple programs (ARTs) can be added to epics and capabilities because they can span across multiple programs. Features are typically program specific. One program will be the primary program on the epic and capability. This…
-
@Vinay Sharma I am not sure why Program Increment is showing up for stories. Are you sure that it is the same custom field in Jira that is used on the feature (Jira Epic) screen which is mapped to PI on the Jira Setup tab in Jira Align? The Jira Connector is an automated integration between Jira Align and Jira. You can…
-
@Vinay Sharma, The syncing of the Program Increment is a one-way sync from Jira Align to Jira for features and does not sync for stories. Take a look at the PI field under the Custom Fields section of the Jira Integration Setup article on the Jira Align Knowledge Base which mentions this.…
