Hi @John Bolton It's a great idea, but not something that you can do as part of the features included out of the box with Jira. I tend to do estimation as part of a group workshop so that the estimates get put into Jira all in one go, I feel like some of my teams would not get round to doing it if they had to go and do it…

Welcome to the community! Jira is really great for managing work of all shapes and sizes and this the place to learn about it!
-
Hi @Roger Davidson Does it matter whether i use a User Story, new feature, or enhancement issue type to complete the process through JIRA? Nope - up to you. If you are an admin you can change the name of the issue type to anything you like. If a sub-task is created can that sub-task be assigned a new issue type or does it…
-
Hi @Trena Norcia If you go to 'project settings' and then 'details' there's an option there for 'default assignee' - if you change that to unassigned then issues won't have an assignee on each issue created.
-
Hi @Ved Prakash Sharma on the service management project you'd like to add automations to if you go to project settings there is an option for 'automation' which is where you can set up all your automation rules. You do need to be an administrator to see 'project settings' though. Do you see the option for that when you're…

Welcome Bronwen! Good to have you onboard!

You're welcome @johnathan.flynn the answer to your question 'is there a way to share issues between multiple boards' is definitely yes. Each board uses a filter, made up of JQL (Jira query language), which is specified by default to bring back all the issues in the project it was created in. You can edit that filter to…
-
Is that a risk for Cloud or just Server/DC @LarryBrock ?
-
Hi @johnathan.flynn Yes, this is possible. Issues (Jira term for epic / story / task / bug etc.) can belong to many boards. When you create a project in Jira it will automatically create a board for you but if you click on the dropdown arrow by the board in the top left of the screen you can add more boards.…

Hi @Jörn Hofer You could perhaps select Hierarchy: Epic to Sub-Task and then order by start date. Then to move issues up you can just make the start date earlier. Do you use Epics or Tasks when you mention subproject?
-
Hi @Mzwakhile Vilakati If you go to Project Settings > Notifications > Notification Email you will be able to see what it is currently set as and you have the option to edit from there.
-
Hi @Todd Libet My implementation was actually a link to the ticket in a slack message sent via a webhook when a certain request type was raised. I'm pretty sure you can put an approve button in the slack message but I never got round to it.
-
Hi @alan rossney The status shouldn't impact how you view the issue, you should be able to click on the ID link to view the issue. Could you give us some more context around your question and perhaps a screenshot to help answer your question please?

No problem, yes, it's only available in Advanced Roadmaps which is a separate product in essence. It used to be an add-on called Portfolio. It will allow you to organise multiple projects, not just one, in 'Plans'. So the standard project Roadmap you're using can't have extra fields, if you signed up to Jira Premium you…

Hi @Hanif Khan There is a microsoft add-in available here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217836/microsoft-teams-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
-
Hi @jahangeer_a I'm afraid you can't do this in project roadmaps. It is possible with Advanced Roadmaps - you can add a 'Progress Days' column which will show you the days of work complete / remaining. Premium is (as the name suggests) a further cost on your standard Jira subscription.
-
Hi @JRodney Estrada Loading limits are just the maximum amount of issues or projects you can bring into a plan. https://confluence.atlassian.com/advancedroadmapscloud/creating-your-plans-998650933.html I would choose a sensible link type and link some issues to check it out. You can't do much wrong, you can always delete a…
-
No problem Sarah. It depends if you're on Trello Enterprise / Free / Business Class In a free instance it will be greyed out and say 'upgrade' next to it. You do need to be on a paid version (Enterprise or Business Class) and if you're on an Enterprise subscription, you'll need to be an admin…
-
Hi @Dan Allenby You can add 'priority' to the request type and hide it: It will ask you to set a preset which is where you choose the new default.
-
Hi @[deleted] You need to be an admin to make a template - do you have admin privileges?
-
Hi @Marcus Carney Here a few ideas to tick off the troubleshooting list: * Go to settings cog and check exclusion rules * Are the issues coming from Next-gen projects (they aren't compatible with AR)? * Try pulling in the whole project that contains the issues
-
Hi tara.tremelling@cerence.com Do you have any hidden fields in the 'request form'? It sounds like you've done everything else right.
-
Hi @Daffy Geffner Jira standard has a roadmap feature that lets you view your Epics and stories/tasks in each project but this view will only visualise issues in that project. If you want to view more than one Jira project in a roadmap you'll need either advanced roadmaps (by upgrading to Jira Premium) or an add-on through…
-
There's quite a few, eazyBI, BigGantt, Aha! Roadmaps to name a few. You can see how many downloads they've had, look at reviews and see ratings on the marketplace. It's worth going for one that is supported and where they have been through the Atlassian security review
-
Absolutely - perfectly acceptable solution. It looks like a very good price actually and I might well try it out on my private instance. I think you're probably right - but if your use case calls for effectiveness over efficiency then you have to consider other options right? Giving a third party access to the REST API of…

Hi @[deleted] , The business requirements were for a report to run weekly. Tempo and easyBI are great products but buying either would be like taking the kids to school in a Ferrari if all you need is a weekly report. Add-ons will cost extra but provide additional benefits. With sheets you can schedule an update of the…
-
Hi @Asha I have a report set up for a similar purpose using Jira Cloud for Sheets You can also export to Excel if you prefer but I like Google Sheets as you can set up a scheduled refresh, bring in the fields you need and then create whatever reporting you need that will update for you automatically. To get started you can…
