Just ran into the same issue and came across your post while I was searching for an answer. Took a little bit to figure out, but I finally go this working. See the ScriptRunner script below (updated with dynamic field to select the Custom Field): import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import…

We were -10 here last week. I've never had to plug my truck in before (its a diesel). The one day I decided to go the office that week and it was so cold the fuel had gelled up overnight. :(

Think this can pretty easily be done with Project Automation (i.e. Automation Rules). Trigger would be the transition to your done state. Condition if the field (flag) is set to X. Action Clone the issue, you can set the Summary to what every you want.

Instead of = "" try = null

@walkerboy1911 You mentioned ScriptRunner can export attachments. I'm trying to write a script to just that in Jira and I can't for life of me figure out how to get the actual attachment, all I can get is info about the attachment.

Anyone figured out what is causing this (we're getting it when we add a variable to the template): @Shannon S Cause org.apache.velocity.exception.ParseErrorException: Invalid arg #4 in directive #tag/pages/createpage-entervariables.vm[line 23, column 21] at org.apache.velocity.Template.process(Template.java:141)

Thanks @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- always appreciate the help.
-
@Liya Han Were you able to resolve this? I'm running into a similar issue.
-
@PD Sheehan The issueInputParams vs issueInputParameters was my mistake, the original script used the latter (issueInputParameters) which is reserved I was in the process of updating that to issueInputParams when I posted this and hadn't finished that update. You're assumption would be correct, this is an additional issue…

Hi @Daniel Ebers , So I can see the transition on the portal, what I can't do is get a field to display on the comment screen that pops up. I have requirement for reporter/participant to answer 1 or 2 questions before closing.

@Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_ Tried adding the transition screen. It doesn't display in the portal though.

Figured it out, you have to use getFieldByName for service desk/management forms: def usersField = getFieldByName("User(s)") usersField.setFormValue(["boisvers"])
-
@Jason Adam Can you share your script for updating the multi user select field. I can't seem to get this to work. import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import com.atlassian.jira.issue.Issue def usersField = ComponentAccessor.customFieldManager.customFieldObjects.findByName("User(s)") String[] users =…

Figured this out with some help from KD at Adapativst. I was looking for a special link type to write the code to, when in actuality this information is stored in new custom field called Linked major incidents, which returns/accepts an array. Here's an example of the code I was able to use to update the field: def…

I probably should put more comments in there... lol

@kerensho I actually just did something similar, rather than a post function, I did it as a listener, as I need it to create tasks every time the checkbox field is updated. I would suggest that rather than using the same issue type, you make the new tasks subtasks of the original task (which is what I did). I have an issue…

@Murugan Mittapalli Been looking for this as well. I think this topic, while old the options are still relevant. I haven't been able to find anything that actually migrates data other than the Enterprise Bridge that Boris mentioned.

Here's an example of a listener I use to change the security level on production defects to make them public: import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor import com.atlassian.jira.issue.MutableIssue import com.atlassian.jira.issue.security.IssueSecurityLevelManager import…

Actually the each issue security scheme might be the way to go. When the issue is resolved assign a default security scheme and delete the issue specific scheme. This would help to automatically clean up the issue security schemes..... Still would be a lot of them, but at least they would get cleaned up.
-
If you have ScruptRunner you could set up an event/listener for the comment and check if there was an @mention then execute a script to add them to the Browse permission. That would give them access to all issues in the project though. If you wanted them to only see that one issue you could do something similar with issue…

Got mine the other day. THANK YOU!

Welcome all and Congratulations!!

That's what I thought. Didn't know if anyone had written a script or something that would do that..... ;)

@Jack Brickey Confirmed you can set it up so that the notifications go out Text at 0 minutes, Phone at 5 minutes, etc... This is done in the Notification Rule of the Notification Policy.
-
@Jack Brickey I'm using Opsgenie currently. Similar boat, we're not using the incident management yet, but using it for on-call notifications. So, Opsgenie does have an e-mail integration, we set each team up with an e-mail integration. I also wrote a Confluence macro that utilizes the Opsgenie API to pull the all the…
