I'm moving in with my partner this weekend and we've been using Trello to delegate tasks and keep track of things like the moving truck rental and our new renter's insurance policy. It's been great! If we referenced the same template, they had set up a "date night" list, right? That's actually kept us going back to the…

Brb, making "don't get bored, get board" tshirts ;)

At my old job, Jira was a bridge between the website merchandising team and the creative team! As someone on the creative side of things, I didn't really pay it much mind—I got an email if I was assigned to a ticket and then I'd go in and address the feedback. I know that our tech teams used for their own work too, but it…

I haven't watched it yet, Deepanshu, but I'm having a hard time thinking through how I'd make a good screenplay from the book! A huge part of what I love in the book is all the facts and background material, rather than how he and Katz handle the trail.

This is such a great question for getting to know people! It seems like all your quotes are connected to resilience in some way. Do you consider yourself to be a resilient person? Mine would probably be: It is better to be loving than to be right. I'm totally a know-it-all and I care about the principle of things, and…

One of my friends has a pin that says "I know where my towel is" and it makes me extremely happy every time I see it. :)

One of my favorite books is "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson. It's about his semi-impulsive decision to hike the Appalachian Trail, and he does an amazing job describing it all with humor while also mixing in lots of wonderful facts about conservation, the history of the trail, and nature. I literally can't think about…

Yes, yes, yes. :) I've really enjoyed learning more about how to describe culture and cultural differences in this class—even my own. Being able to explain my culture in terms of how it differs from someone else's is more helpful than being able to article how someone is different from me. It's a little mindset shift.

I would offer a new type of vacation benefit. If you plan a vacation that is: At least 2 weeks long (10 consecutive PTO days) & Scheduled/approved at least 4 months in advance (so that the company can plan appropriately) ...you'll get a $5000 bonus. Or some other exciting amount. I like this because employees could easily…

Sign me up whenever works best for you, Monique! :)

OH man, this is such a good question! I think everyone would be a little bit happier if we asked ourselves this question more often. :) I'm most excited to be working on Gliffy because I get to really dig in to absolutely everything about the brand. In my last job, I would work on advertising campaigns for all sorts of…

I'm still a relatively new Trello user, so I love these ideas :) I'm not using any covers for my cards right now... time to start!

I think it'd be wonderful to have a bag with an infinite amount of space inside (but it never gets heavier), like Mary Poppins' bag or Hermione's charmed bag in the sixth Harry Potter book. I use public transportation, so to be able to go to from the gym to work to school or some other exhausting combination without having…

What a great way to start the new year! For my last job, I had a work phone on me at almost all times and would monitor a social account that got TONS of engagement...all the time. I definitely could have set better boundaries, but I ended up checking that phone and monitoring that account many, many times every day…

This was tough to read, @Andy - PTC Redundant — I can't imagine being so far from people I love when they're dealing with a crisis like this. We're wishing you and your friends all the best. And thank you for sharing this news and being vulnerable here; you make this community closer and stronger, which I'm grateful for.

I think these instructions will walk you through it best: https://help.trello.com/article/829-using-trello-with-google-calendar

Thanks so much, Fernando! I hope to keep doing some posts like this, so your feedback means a lot.

Poorvi, as a young tech marketer without a technical background, I'm going to have to follow you on LinkedIn to see those articles. ;)

Awww, I love this! I'm still pretty new to the community, but I love that I've felt comfortable asking questions from day 1. Everyone here is so helpful. And I'm glad to have connected with you, Teodora :)

Oooo I've thought about something like this...If I could delete any set of memories, it wouldn't be bad ones! I would want to delete Harry Potter from my brain so that I could read the series for the first time again. :)

I really want to co-write a book with my dad! He was an accountant, so growing up he's given me so much advice about money. I think it'd be really fun to write a book for young adults sharing some of his lessons and the stories of how I dealt with them growing up. Even now, a few years into my career, I still text him with…

Oh my gosh, the "constipated" misunderstanding is one of the funniest I've ever heard! I might have to share that one in class tomorrow. I'm not the most empathetic person, so I don't think I'm great at "putting myself in someone else's shoes," but I do think I've conditioned myself to ask "do they intend to make me feel…

Hi Frédéric! I'm not the biggest Trello expert, but what I've done is sync all my boards to a personal calendar. (iCal) You could also try using the new Butler tool to create a rule for every board that any card assigned a due date would be duplicated into an additional master calendar board. Sort of a weird workaround. I…

@devinsanders Great find! That feature's not shown on their server listing right now — it could come in handy. :)

Everyone in our office is back and it's so nice to have the energy of a full office! (I'm an extrovert, can you tell?) This week in particular, or other times when my coworkers might want to be particularly chatty, like near my birthday as an example, I try to make sure I can step away from my desk for the things I really…

It has NEVER once occurred to me that "inquiry" and "enquiry" could be a point of contention! I'm going to drop that one in our writers' slack channel and see what my team thinks about those two.

Wow, thanks for all the worldwide context here! :) The internet "as a right" idea is super interesting to me in particular. I think the US would have a hard time making internet access a nationwide, government-run utility. It was a few years ago here that one in four households didn't have an internet subscription. It'll…

This list is unreal to read! I'm disappointed that smelly television didn't become a thing...I think. I think (or really, really hope) that the next decade brings about the following changes: - I'm not sure we'll need physical banks anymore. I could see us moving away from physical currencies, too. - Telemedicine! I'm…

Hi Geert! This isn't a complete solution for you — hopefully someone else can chime in with an idea for your whole space — but you are able to embed Gliffy diagrams on multiple spaces throughout your instance. Those diagrams will automatically update when you make publish changes to the original, but you can work on drafts…

I don't know how data-supported this was, but a team I was on a few years ago did informal "night owl" and "early bird" pins to recognize people when they were working really hard outside normal hours! (Not in a way that was encouraging everyone to work all the time, but in a genuinely appreciative way.)
