  • Hi @Nofar Ben Kereth , you're correct with the above. JWM = Business projects The in-line edit list is only available in Business projects Business projects are only available as company-managed projects Business projects do not have backlog or sprint capabilities Sorry if this is confusing!
  • @Marie F. Kent this field is actually just for internal data collection and has no impact on your instance – here's a Community post giving a little more information on the topic.
  • @Marie F. Kent ask and you shall receive – we just prioritized column re-ordering (via drag-and-drop) for our current sprint. You should see it live in your instance in the next 2-4 weeks! @Aleksandrs Lozovs you'll see Components even sooner than the above feature if all goes well. We're already testing that functionality…
  • We did say Ask For Anything, so this is fair game We're planning on investing a good amount of resources in the next couple of months to build out content like this. What's interesting to me is that you mentioned it's your users looking for this content – with that in mind, would content that goes into the granularity of…
  • Hi @Maribel Pinillos ! In short, you can do both of these things Links to information: We recently added "URL" field types as a supported field type on the list view. This means you could have a "Contract" field, for example, where you paste URLs to the relevant contract link. You'd simply need to create a new custom field…
  • Wow, 4 for background colors! How about images? That's what @roto sends back my way whenever I tell him we should add more colors . In any case, I believe we're considering more of a color wheel approach instead of stock defaults so that companies can add more of their branding to projects. Quick note, accessibility is…
  • @Curt Holley great news is that we are absolutely adding the ability to filter on the Calendar by issue type. Ideally you'll see that in the next couple of weeks as it's something we want for our own teams as well! Re: nesting, adding it to the board should be doable but AFAIK it's not prioritized yet. I just sent an email…
  • @roto let's set up some time to chat with Markus (and Dave as well just to catch back up with him). As an FYI, we should have some decisions made on this front very shortly that we can communicate with you offline. Cheers!
  • Hey @Brandon Fish , any Jira admin of a Jira Software instance can create business projects (aka Jira Work Management projects). As for the ability for non-admins to create them, right now we've enabled this functionality for instances that only have Jira Work Management enabled. Any instance with Jira Software or Jira…
  • Shucks, meant to compliment you on the GIF in my last message but forgot . So, to both of you for Proforma, how do you feel about the fact that Proforma more-or-less attaches records of the form submission to an issue? We've been going back and forth about Proforma since the mental model works quite differently. We can add…
  • Thanks for the help @Curt Holley and cheers for participating @Marie Peters ! Let's dig into this a bit. * Hierarchy: Major focus for us and the team right now. This week you'll see (if you don't already see it) nested issues on Timeline (Issue --> Subtask). Fast follow will be List hierarchy (Issue --> Subtask) and then,…
  • Hey @Curt Holley ! * Perfect, this is our current preferred solution – one form per issue type per project * Coming this week for Timeline (Issue --> Subtask) and shortly after for List (Issue --> Subtask). We'll also start showing Subtasks on the Calendar (without hierarchy), and then start looking into Epic --> Issue -->…
  • Hey @Marie F. Kent , thanks for chiming in! I believe users should be able to do this already (and start date is rolling out to all projects by default soon). They can use the Plus Sign off to the right of the list to add said columns. However, users can only add columns (aka Fields) that already exist in the project. One…
  • You and @John Funk both! We're definitely looking into this already. Current solution idea is to have one form per issue type, per project. Would that be a good enough solution or were you looking to have multiple forms per issue type? Copying a form is interesting – is this across projects or in the same project?
  • Thanks for the feedback @Markus ! 1. Noted, sounds like a common request on this thread. Definitely something we're already evaluating the effort of. We have a few potential solutions for this, but the most plausible is we would allow for one form per issue type in the given project. Would this be a good solution? 2. Great…
  • Hey @Curt Holley , I cheated a bit and showed off an instance with features going live later this week, sorry! Coming in a few days. Epic nesting is something we're considering for the next improvement, feel free to email me at cwilson@atlassian.com if you want to chat through the use case for that.
  • @KAGITHALA BABU ANVESH @Rebecca Kyles I actually just posted a demo video today, check it out here.
  • Hi @Hélène Dufour , great question. I would suggest you: - Create a new Business project sharing the same settings as the Software project you already have. You can find instructions on how to do so here. - You can then export your issues from the Software project. Multiple options here. - Now you're ready to import your…
  • @Brad MacLean that's odd, you should be able to see all 23 templates right now. Keep in mind that Jira Work Management is only for Cloud, so Jira Core Server would continue to only have 9 templates. Otherwise you may be in a group that doesn't have the new templates enabled, so just let me know if you still can't see the…
  • Hi @[deleted] , I'll try to help on both of these: 1. Right now we don't have plans to bring sprints to Jira Work Management, but you may see features like the List appear in Jira Software in the further out future. 2. We're actually working on designing this right now! Feel free to email me at cwilson@atlassian.com if…
  • @cwu-web-svc-admin & @Ioana Glitia The good news is that your Jira Software licenses allow you to create Business projects (which are the manifestation of Jira Work Management). More on that topic here. If you're looking to add new users with Jira Work Management licenses you should be able to: Log into your Jira Software…
  • @Amanda Ward that's a fascinating idea that we haven't heard of until now. Because of that we don't have any plans to do this, but I'll bring it up with the rest of the team to get their thoughts!
  • Hey @Rachel Wright ! Glad to meet you, you're a legend. To answer your question as simply as possible, yes – Jira Work Management is specifically a rebrand of Jira Core Cloud. There wasn't actually a Data Center deployment of Jira Core in the past, so the Jira Core name will persist only in the context of Jira Core Server.
  • @Ioana Glitia you should be able to do both of those today!
  • @Moritz Maximilian Strauss glad it looks promising for your teams! 1. As per the screenshot below, if you have JSW the importer will automatically adjust to Next-Gen (now called team-managed) projects as they have a more flexible workflow system than company-managed projects (which are the foundation of Jira Work…
  • @crypton1 good question! We see Forms as a way to: - Hide the project UI. E.g. you may have a specific ranking preference and don't want other teams actively making changes in your project. - Standardize what information is given to your team. Simply creating issues in a project may need to otherwise rely on many required…
  • @Cindy Chan that is correct, right now you are able to use JWM without additional licenses! Converting a project is not quite a simple as clicking a button, but you can fairly easily export your JSW data into a CSV and then upload that data into a JWM project. More information here.
  • @[deleted] missed that one, sorry! Please submit that as a specific request, though I believe we're trending in that direction as of now.
  • Thanks for the recent feedback everyone! @[deleted] you should expect to see new filtering capabilities within the next two weeks (slow rollout beginning on 5/3) that will apply to the list view. We will then bring these filters to all of the new views shortly after! @rodney great question – can you log this feedback using…
  • @Iain McCarthy glad you enjoyed it! We'd love to learn more about your use case as a team, so feel free to reach out to me at cwilson@atlassian.com. In general, you can use cross-project automation to create issues in Jira Work Management that are sourced from data submitted via Jira Service Management help portals. If the…
