@Kaelyn Suh , With the NextGen project using only the last column for a closed state, I'm not sure this is possible right now (yet?). What if you created a new Sprint, called rejected issues, and moved the issues to that sprint? You'll get the Sprint will be affect message and it will affect the reports, but it will give…

That looks incredible. :)

@Susan Hauth (Toronto - JIRA Queen) , You're from up north. Can you add any insight into this question? @Hussien Hammad , for help, just open a support ticket with Atlassian. support.atlassian.com
-
@Guy Pontecorvo , try reindexing the Jira project related to the board.
-
@Santiago De Michelis , by default Jira will not support this. Try an add-on that allows for the creation of pivot tables. Something like The pivot Gadget from iDalko. There aren't the only ones so you could test a variety. You could also you an external reporting app like Tableau to pull data out of Jira and then create…

@admin admin , Like Nic said, they are stored in the DB. Check this page out for a bit more information. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-remove-application-link-directly-through-jira-database-285839519.html They have some example of querying the link key and deleting if necessary. I'm not confident there is…

@Bunty , Simply put, that is a specific event that gets triggered in the post function section of a transition in a workflow. The person who executes the transition will be listed as the person who Started or Stopped progress on an issue. This may or may not be the same person the Issue is assigned to. As far as…

Did I post here yet about how much I love Pizza?
-
I absolutely love Pizza - Any type any place. From Chicago / Chicago Area, Giordanos, Papa's, Rosati's, Lou Malnati's just to name a few. I also has a friend in High School who memorized the first 100 digits of pie.

@naama, Check this out. It looks like you can add values to any field but its going to require that you know Java/Javascript. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/advanced-use-of-the-jira-issue-collector-938847349.html

I'll highlight the CRM Plugin for Jira by Go2Group. the last few places I have called home have been big Salesforce shops and this app does and beautiful job bridging the gap between the two. It has made me look really good on more than one occasion. The other aspect I love about this app is support they provide. On more…

That is pretty strange. Have you tried manually deleting the existing version and then trying to upload the add-ons as normal?
-
We upgrade in order to take advantage of performance improvements and bug fixes. We are on a quarterly schedule so we upgrade 4 times a year. Sometimes there is new functionality that is nice too. We had no issues on 7.10.x. As far as prep, you should test the upgrade on a stage/dev/test server first. Beyond this, you…
-
I'd try going straight to 7.12.x in a stage environment.
-
i think we upgraded from from 7.6.x to 7.10.x and then 7.12.x a few months later
-
@sahoo subrat, a few thoughts: 1. make sure you're permissions for the add-ons folder are correct. 2. make sure your permissions for the add-on .jar are correct. 3. if permissions aren't the issue, try shutting Jira down, and deleting add-on .jar files for the add-ons giving you problems. You could then either add the new…

We're running 7.12.1 and things seem pretty good. You're usually safe to grab anything that isn't the most recent or a x.0.

@Sanil Panicker, you should have the ability to which web servers you send traffic too within your load balancer. Not sure what you are using but its there. Assuming you have datacenter installed and configured correctly, it should just work. Make sure you configure sticky sessions on your load balancer too.
-
@Rolland Vander Sluis, It looks like you are using an app to manage your test cases. Which one?
-
Shouldn't be an issue. start-jira.sh is what starts Jira and you run it from whatever directory its in. you will need to make sure any auto start or scripts that point to the old location reflect the new path.
-
This is the way to go - not sure why the SubtasksOf is so temperamental.
-
The answers you seek are available, you will need to spend some time reading through the online documentation and collating the information. If there is something specific within one of those topics you don't understand, that would be the question/s to post. -pjd
-
@Ian Balas, I think you are going to need to look at some type of app solution. There are a number of apps in the marketplace. Take a look at cPrime's Power Scripts or Adaptavist's Scriptrunner. -pjd

@Christian Becker, It looks like there is an issue with one of your apps (from Intenso). I can't tell which one but I'd start there and/or contact them directly. They may be able to shed some light on the issue. -pjd

@Mohammad Ayman, That's a whole lot of questions with a whole lot of answers. I'll try to point you in the right direction: * What is Jira?* https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira * How it works (technically)?* https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/jira-documentation-1556.html * Who is using it (size number of user,…

@Rashmi Ashok, It sounds like the development sprint thinks the tickets are still open. Is the Ready for Test status mapped to the right most column of the dev board? -pjd
-
@Siarhei Yarkavy, for item #1. Make sure there is a value in the sprint field. If there is no data, it won't be displayed and you will need to populate it either through the edit screen or by dragging the issue to a sprint in your backlog view. You can also check to make sure the sprint field is on the view screen for the…

@Nicole Williams, try creating a new security scheme and removing the jira-users group (or whatever group you are using for all your users) from every permission except the browse project permission. Update your projects to use this new scheme. This will in effect lock down the project and create a read-only environment.…

Thanks Joe, JSU is the other one we use and just as good although the solutions are a bit different.
