Oh wonderful! Thanks for sharing! I've bookmarked it! Esme :)
-
What platform are you using? I'm using Chrome, so I've just set up a shortcut on my Chrome to the board that I want it to open, rather than going to trello.com each time? Maybe something like that would work for you? Thanks Esme :)

Can you show us what your Butler command looks like in a screenshot? It might help us to be able to see if there's something misbehaving! Esme :)

Hi Kim, I've found this as well, however in my experience, some do and some don't. The way that I have hacked/sorted this out, is to copy the photo that would previously have been imported as the card cover and attached it to the card. It takes longer because you now have to add something via a 3rd party app, then hop into…

This is exactly what I was going to suggest, it's been a life saver!
-
Lol! Yeah, that'll stop it, you're sending it to a board that doesn't exist anymore, so many times I've done that! Now I have my 'desktop' board called...dun dun dun...'Desktop' lol, then I can't change it! Glad you got it sorted out though! E

There might be a Zapier integration, of an IFTTT recipe that you could use?

Hi David, This can be achieved with a Butler rule (if you have the Butler PowerUp). I use this a lot on specific cards, but this shows how you could implement it: The easiest way to add a checklist to existing cards, would be to set up another rule regarding labels. To do this, you could set up a grey label (this will mean…

Hi Terry, The Calendar Power-Up gives you an iCalendar feed that you can add to your Apple Calendar. It looks like this: So you have to go into Apple's Calendar and add/subscribe to a new calendar by copying and pasting that link. Should you wish to use Google Calendar, there's a great Power Up - Cronofy, which will 2 way…

Also, if you don't have your Google Drive, Box, Dropbox or OneDrive switched on, you can do that within this popup window as well, so everything you've got on your phone no matter which storage solution you use, you'll be able to attach it Esme :)

Hi Bruna, The way that I've got around this is to have the document or file saved on my phone, then open the card I want in Trello on my phone, click 'add attachments', and find the file and add it that way. I'm using an iPhone, so when I click on 'add attachments' I then chose 'choose a file' and this brings up my iCloud…

As I said, I have a Butler rule for mine, because I have a LOT of lists on my 'desktop' board and want to click 1 button not a million lists, so my Butler board button looks like this: This is the icon that appears in the top right-hand side of my 'desktop' board (on the same line as Butler and Calendar and things like…

Hi Caroline, I'm so pleased that worked for you! Isn't it great when everything is where it's supposed to be?! But does this mean though that as soon as the date comes closer e.g. arrives into my three day zone it should now appear in the desktop board? Simple answer, yes! Woohoo! As the dates come closer, as soon as…

Hi Caroline, Thank you so much for your kind words. Okey dokey, let's do this! However, I discovered that it doesnt sync back. If I delete or archive or anything in the desktop board the original boards remain the same. Right - this can be sorted with yes, you've guessed it, another Butler rule! This rule needs to be set…

I use a Butler 'rule' for this. I have a 'desktop' board that's always open and everything feeds into here. I have a command set up and enabled on all my other boards, so that when a due date is coming up, the cards get copied into my board and then linked together, so that I know the task is due and where it came from. I…

Oh no! That's not good! I must admit, I don't use the Desktop app, I have so many Chrome Extensions to make Trello 'better' (being mindful that 'better' is a very subjective word), which don't apply/work inside the desktop app, so I only use Trello on Chrome. I've just checked my iMac and I don't even have it installed any…

That's a great suggestion!

How very strange! I use the Chrome Extension Trelabels, as well as Pro, but I have the labels option turned off in Pro4Trello, they work well together, maybe have a look at Trelabels on the Chrome Extension page and see if that works? For reference, this is what I have turned on in my Pro4Trello options:

You could then add another command on YOUR (incoming) board with something like this: when a card is added to the board with 'Esme' in a checklist, rename the card to Checklist item {date} {time} {cardname} That would mean that your version of the card would be renamed so that you knew it was something in the checklist…

Hi Austin You could potentially do this with a Butler command, although I'm not 100% sure how it would work. As a solo user this isn't something that I've had to do, but I would think that this command might work (although as I said, I'm not 100% sure!) So all I've done is added my name, without the @ bit - and I've just…
-
You are most welcome :)
-
No worries @Ray It took me ages to find out how to do it! I use uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and a number of others, and I've had to whitelist Trello on all of them to make sure that they 'talk' to each other! I always know that if I see 'Connect Google Drive to see more' that one of the extensions has updated and I need…

You could use a Butler command in addition to labels? This is what I would suggest if that's something you'd be interested in. First name the labels: Then create a Butler rule, so that every time something is added to the list 'Book 1' it automatically adds the green 'Book 1' label. That would mean every card created in…
-
When you're on the board, hit (not hard) F on your keyboard and that'll bring up all the labels, then click on the one you want to filter for. Hope that helps Esme :)
-
I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but you could create a Butler rule to say that any time a card is added to the board, you can set the custom field to now?
-
If you click on the 'Show Menu' bar on the right hand side of any of your boards, and then click 'more' you'll see a direct link to just that board. If your clients are all on separate boards, you can share just that link with the specific person and they'll only be able to see the board you want them to. I don't know if…
-
Yes there is! I had this problem for a LONG time! Check your Chrome extensions - there are loads that don't let Google talk to Trello! I disabled all of mine at once and then turned them back on one by one and refreshed Trello each time to see which one was causing the problem. Google 'talking' to Trello invovled a…

You can change things with Butler, but it depends what you want to change. For example, if you want the due date to change on another card relative to the one you've changed, the cards would have to be linked. A possible Butler command could look something like this: However, if you're talking about custom fields, comments…
-
Is the label a grey one? I only ask because grey labels are 'hidden' so they'll appear on the back of the card when you open the card, but don't show on the front :)
-
I've just created 2 boards, testing board 1 and testing board 2 so that I could show you the Butler rule that I would use if I wanted to do this. You would have to copy each card from one board to another and then link them, but this should enable it to work. It looks like this - so it's an if this then that statement:…
