Hi @Mark S Call You have to put a trigger in for the cascade options to show. If you add a trigger (e.g. when a card is added to the board), the action options will show, including the cascade function. Hope that's helpful!

Sorry, another thought! The other option that I've found to be super handy is to have the first 'thing' in bold (using ** around the words**), and then all the subsequent sub-things (the next items in the checklist) in italics (using _then the thing_). If you want to use **bold** - you want to put it inside the square…

Hi @Wendy Papadakis While you can't strictly have a checklist embedded inside another checklist, you can use hyperlinks in checklists (which is SUPER handy!). I use them all the time when I need someone to take an action on say Dropbox or Google Drive, they're so useful! (I've explained at the bottom how I set mine up) The…

Hi @Kim Green Custom fields are specific to the board. Unfortunately, you can't set specific ones to show up on specific cards (if only!). All custom fields on a board will show up in all cards that are on that board. You can, of course, set which ones you want to appear on the front of the card, but again, these will…

Hello all you gorgeous and wonderful people! It's great to have you here!

Hi Wen, That message will always stay there, as it's information specifically for the grey label (that's why it's next to it). All colors show up on the front panel (except grey), there is no way to hide them. Does that explain it better? Esme 🙂
-
Hi Wen, The 'No color' caption only refers to the grey-colored label. Grey labels don't show up on the front of cards, which makes them super handy for filtering without cluttering up the front of the card. All other label colors show on the front of the card, it's only the grey that doesn't. Does that help at all? Esme 🙂

No problem! I've also been playing with a PowerUp called Amazing Fields and I'm really excited to see the things that this PowerUp does differently to Custom Fields. The only issue that I've found, is that the boards on the web look great, but on mobile the PowerUp doesn't show up (Custom Fields do), which is a bit…

Hi Bradley! Did you know that you can add labels? You're limited to the same colors (there's no news on when Trello will have new color options), but you can add as many labels as you need, by clicking on the 'Create a new label' option. This screenshot was taken by clicking on 'Show Menu' (top right of the board), then…

I've recently found myself in some new roles, and we've played around with my titles because why wouldn't you?! To the outside world, my title is "Communications and Community Development Coordinator," but in-house, I'm the "VA Vixen and Data Diva." While it might not technically be praise, their ability to recognise what…

OMG, I've never seen this before, but cor blimey it's powerful!

Sometimes I miss being part of a big team! It's just the two of us now that I've embraced my new solopreneur life...there's nothing that I don't know about my VA and nothing that they don't know about me...wondering if there's an ice breaker that would be fun for us to do anyway!
-
I have a 'Working with Esme Handbook' in all the proposals that I send to clients, that I co-wrote with my VA. Not only does my VA know how I prefer to work, but my clients are aware front a centre of my working hours, that I prefer to communicate on Voxer, a quick reference for their timezone and mine and what'll happen…

I have client calls that last 1-2 hours and I have an agenda for each one. I try, as much as I can, to stick to it and follow the following routine: * Tell them what you're going to tell them * Tell them * Tell them what you told them This means, when they get the Zoom recording they know exactly what the meeting was about…

In my team of 2, we have 'morning sit downs' - what problems did we have yesterday, what we're working on today and in what order, why (priorities etc), when we're going to take mental health breaks etc. This makes sure that we're both on the same page for what's happening that day & why! I think, because there's only 2 of…

I have an ideas board with the date created time on each card in Trello, so that I can put every-single-idea that I have into it and then in a sitdown with my VA we can attempt to organise them! We talk through each one, get some pros & cons down and see which ones we like the sound of and which we think would be most…

My VA and I work at the same time, for an hour at a time (or two depending on the task), then have an hour off. By always working at the same time, we're both around if the other ones get stuck, needs to ask a question or needs support. Sometimes we're working on the same task, or the same project, but sometimes we're…
-
Great article! In my business, we're more focused on outcomes because no task is created equal...a task might take a whole blummin' week (because it's technically a project), which would mean that by 'traditional' standards, we'd 'achieved' a single thing. But that item might be the most important thing at that time and…

Asking my VA to work in 1-hr blocks with an hour off between each one (for puppy cuddles, stretching, food & drink)

Hi @Bart Is there anything in the 'cascade' option? I'm thinking something along the lines of "triggercardduedate" Could you let me know the first stages of the command, I'll rebuild it and see what I can come up with? Maybe seeing the whole process will enable one of us to be able to come up with something? Esme :)
-
What a great question! I'd love to go minimalist on the furniture, all in white. Nice and clean lines, really functional. With maybe an accent chair, in a royal blue or emerald green, a really dark and opulent colour. It would be really stark...but then...dun dun dun...lots of shelves for orchids of all colours! Gotta have…

Hi @Gary Smith Welcome to the Community! Unfortunately, the layout on the back of the card can't be changed. Sorry I don't have better news / a workaround, but as far as I'm aware, there isn't even a Chome extension that will allow you to move sections of the back of the card around. Esme :)

Hi @shirlei favaro Welcome to the Community! Just to add to @Ste Wright 's answer, if you use Chrome, you could use Pro for Trello, which adds a lot of different functions to Trello, including specifying the list width Esme :)
-
Hi @NOC KOSC Welcome to the Community! I'm the same, I use the ISO date for everything and it's a bit tricky! Maybe something like {year}-{monthnumberlong}-19 - that would give Butler the information in { } and then add the -19 at the end? So maybe a rule like "when a card with a name containing…

Hi @Trelloveliz Welcome to the Community! That's odd! Have you gone into your phone settings and turned on notifications specifically for Trello? I seem to remember that there's a setting in the phone app as well to allow notifications. Esme :)
-
Hi @Alex Hurtado If you upgrade on your phone from free to Gold, it's usually pretty instant (it was when I did it, although admittedly that was a while ago!). Esme :)
-
Aha, I see where you are now! Ok, so do your other boards appear in the list? As in, when you click on the blue section 'Board', does it give you a list of your boards? I only ask because I clicked on the 'board' bit and got this when I scrolled down: And there's a little arrow at the bottom because there are more! When I…

Hi @Damian Perez The only way to get unlimited use of Butler would be to opt for Enterprise, which has a minimum of 20 people to get started, at $210 each, which equals $4,200 per year minimum. These are the Butler quotas for the different tiers: Here is the page that this information comes from Butler features and quotas…

Hi @Lauren Kidd Welcome to the Community! Unfortunately, there isn't. However, at the moment, it is possible to have more than 1 free team (I don't know if this is going to be the case forever, but at the moment it's possible). Yes, there is a limit to 10 boards per free team, but there currently isn't a limit to the…
