Unfortunately, the short answer is those folks would need a license. The omission of having a license is not based on view only. One of the default System Roles we create a lot of times with customers is a View Only role to give access to the exact functional roles that you mention. You can provide them view only access by…
-
Understood. For that level of access, you would be looking at having to purchase licenses for them.

Happy to help!

We agree that team members understanding the value they are contributing to is important. I would highly suggest exploring the Why Details to see if this meets your needs. This can be viewed in both Jira Align at the Story and Feature level as well as synced over to Jira. This provides details of the parenting of…

@Jayme Burkhalter @Chris Gargiulo @Susan Scott Let me see if I can address all of your replies in a single response. It might be best if I first better explain the concept of integrated user. Normally the integrated user system role is a role that is specific to only this type of user. The actual name of the System Role in…
-
@Jayme Burkhalter It is possible to create/modify a System Role and set permissions accordingly so it is only able to view information. For pages that have the ability to edit info, there will be additional toggles that can be disabled to prohibit these abilities. In addition, it is important to not add them as a member to…

Well done!
-
We normally just address this so users know and move on. I'm sure it may be annoying for some but I haven't seen this be a big topic of conversation when we cover it in training.
-
@GregPearson The best way to do this is to export the users and apply a filter to the spreadsheet. Filter out any users with an Atlassian email address or partner email address if you are working with a partner. Then in the System Role column, filter out what is being used as the default system role for integrated users.…

@Lisa Schliker The difference in terminology is definitely an adjustment that needs to be made for those practicing SAFe but the functionality and concept is the same making it completely usable. The Planned Value (or Business Value) is what is assigned during PI Planning. The Delivered Value (or Actual Value) is what is…

The star represents a fixed date milestone. The color of the star indicates if it is the initiation date, completion date or portfolio ask date. This cannot be configured. It is possible to drive the colors of the bars for the work items according to the states of the items. This can be configured by selecting the View…

@Meng Chen Curtis Can you please clarify which product you are using and what report you are referring to?
-
@Masha Sherman I inquired with our Channel team to see if there may have been other sessions going on and was informed about the Q&A sessions. Not sure if they were recorded. @Goldilocks should be able to provide you more info.
-
@Masha Sherman There was a Partner Connect event yesterday where they talked about some of this. Not sure if that is what you are referring to. You should be able to watch the On Demand sessions here.

Hey Carlos - Kent is no longer with Atlassian and thought I would respond to your question. Since the mapping of states/statuses is bi-directional between Jira and Jira Align, this mapping needs to be configured both ways. You must select what Jira statuses map to which Jira Align states and then the reverse of which Jira…

@Jaspinder Singh Virde Once you request your launchpad instance, it is only good for 7 days. You are not able to extend it. It is also only good for the person that requests it. You are not able to add other users from your team. If other members of your team are interested, they can also request their own launchpad…
-
Yes. Once your launchpad instance is created, you will receive an email with access. It will include simulations and demo data. It will be good for 7 days.
-
@Kent Baxley Thanks for continuing to contribute up until the last day!

@Jyotsna Manikantan I missed one of your replies above where you mentioned that you don't use system roles. Every user in Jira Align is assigned a system role. There is no way to add users without this. This controls what they are able to view and what permissions they have in the tool.
-
Being able to add users to programs is a system role permission. It's under the Administration toggle. Programs is the toggle to be turned on to allow a system role to do this.
-
Thanks @Rich Sparks ! Was hoping someone with some more API knowledge would weigh in on that.
-
It will push all of the users to all of the programs in that portfolio.
-
If you go to Portfolios in the Admin console, select the portfolio, then go to the Members tab, you will see a button at the bottom to push users to programs in that portfolio. This will add them to all programs. If you don't want to add all of the users to all of the programs, then you would have to go the program and add…
-
@Jyotsna Manikantan Thank you for your question. You are correct that users need to be added to the program in order to be able to rank features in the backlog. This is to limit those that are not a member of the program from ranking features (mostly accidentally). For those that haven't been trained, they sometimes don't…

@Saranya Muthusamy I confirmed with Product that this was a design change. The Final Score previously didn't contain the Accepted Points. As mentioned in my previous response, you now can just compare the data between the Committed Plan and the Final Score.
-
Hey @Saranya Muthusamy ! I have checked in our instance and no longer see this either. Let me check with Product to see if this is a recent enhancement or if it is a bug. In the meantime, you should be able to look at the The Committed Plan and compare it to the Final Score.

No, Risks in JA do not sync to an issue type of Risk in Jira. The connector does have the ability to sync custom issue types at the team level but these will sync to stories in Jira Align differentiated by the Type field on the story. The dropdown displayed for Type can be customized. Risk are their own item in Jira Align…

@GregPearson I was able to reproduce in my environment. I'm thinking that is a bug that should be reported to our Support team. You can submit that here. You will need to be logged in.
-
@Paul Flynn Yes.

Unfortunately, there is no support of bi-directional syncing of dependencies between the two tools. Dependencies are their own object in Jira Align and do not map to anything in Jira. Dependencies in Jira Align are only against a single work item such as a feature (Jira epic); they do not link two features (Jira epics)…
