@Katherine M. Walker I don't typically run exports via the Backlog so I'm not sure what was previously there. I just ran an export via the Backlog and do not see where an Owner column is displayed. This column will display when running the export via the Features Grid so that may be an alternative option fo you. If you…

@GregPearson The Description and Type fields that you have called out in your screenshot cannot be made "not required". For the various work items in Jira Align, there are some fields that the system requires by default. The two you are pointing out along with the Program and State fields are required by the system and…

Another option is to just do the export, update the System Role for the users you want to change on the export file, save (make sure to keep it XML) and then use the export file to import again. As long as you are only making an update to existing users and not adding new users at the same time, you can use the export file…

@Rupinder Pannu Absolutely! These articles are outputs of a collaboration among the Advisory Services team. Glad you are finding them useful!

@Kurt Smith You would need the Team Role of Product Owner or Analyst. Those are the only roles that can accept stories in Jira Align. Analyst role is a hybrid role of Scrum Master and Product Owner. If you are serving both roles, I would recommend using Analyst as your Team Role.
-
A couple things to add to Allan's reply. * In addition to making sure you have the Analyst or Product Owner Role, you need to make sure you are assigned as a member of the sprint. If you are listed as a Team Member with the appropriate role but are not also assigned to the sprint, you will not have Accepted available. Team…

I'm not familiar with every report that we have, but I personally have not see one where it opens in a modal with a list of options to select from. I see "Flow Time" listed in your screenshot. It wasn't the Process Flow Cycle Time report, was it? Also, a lot of the reports that are in the section where Derek referenced…

Thanks for this great article! It's also been added to the Jira Align and Jira Integration Best Practices and FAQ Table of Contents article.

@Vijay Uskamalla If you're looking for users to have access to the backlog but not be able to change the ranking in it, this can only be controlled by team membership. System role permissions do not control the ability to rank or not rank backlog items. If you do not want a user to be able to rank the backlog, remove them…

@Vinay Sharma Jira Align does not add sprints to team-level work items the same as Jira. It simply replaces. You could look in the Audit Log of that work item, but there is no supporting report to record the movement. To add, when moving a story from one sprint to another in Jira, we do recommend that it is first moved to…

@Razy Kased I stand corrected. Thanks @Allan Maxwell ! I didn't realize that worked with tags.
-
@Razy Kased Thanks for your question! The functionality that you are looking for is not present in Jira Align. It is not possible to filter by multiple tags in Jira Align such as the Features Grid. We have seen requests from customers for more advanced queries in our in-page filters that support "and" and "or" commands but…
-
@Richard Wilson Great point and we have that called out in the Sprint Best Practices article.
-
@Timothy Beran That was just a mistake on my part. There should only be one Sprint field. It is called Assigned Sprint in Jira Align and Sprint in Jira. Those fields are the same and sync with each other.
-
The Backlog Kanban boards found in Jira Align are based on the Jira Align State or the Jira Align Process Step (if enabled and configured). The States and Process Steps are mapped with the Statuses in the Jira Workflow. If the configuration of the Jira connector is set to sync stories or epics bi-directionally, then yes,…

@Tina Behers Thanks! It should work now.

Integrated users are normally non-team lead roles on an agile team such as developer, QA, UX, etc. POs and SMs are considered licensed users. As far as the specific System Role that is assigned to integrated users in Jira Align, that can vary. It is determined by what is selected as the System Role on the Jira Setup tab in…
-
Hey @Jenina Halitsky ! Mark or Puja should be able to take care of that for you. They have access to the master location and could upload it to your TAM space.
-
@sachin gangam This one is a little tricky. You also need to enable Import Stories/Tasks/Features under Additional Options. Once you do that, the user should no longer receive the error.
-
@Jayme Burkhalter I can tell you that with Acceptance Criteria, even if the toggle is enabled, the person trying to add the Acceptance Criteria also has to be listed as the Owner. If they are not listed as the Owner, they will not see the plus sign. This shouldn't be the case, though, for Dependencies and Risks. If your…
-
@Thomas Dennis When Jira Align, formerly Agilecraft, was originally created, Program Increments were names Releases and Releases were named Release Vehicles. The terminology change in your instance is a common terminology change.
-
@Jayme Burkhalter You are not missing anything here. The integration does not have the option to sync discussions/comments between Jira and Jira Align.
-
To add to this, it is important to know that any existing work items you have in Jira Align will not automatically sync over to Jira once integration is complete and JQL is run. JQL only brings in issues from Jira to Jira Align. You will need to update the Project field on any Jira Align work items such as features and…
-
Hey @Kurt Smith ! If you set up a Process Flow after the features already existed in Jira Align, they will default to Unassigned because the mapping did not previously exist. Is this the first column that you are referring to? The Process Step will not update until a change is made. When using a Process Flow, the Process…

@Vera du Preez Hey Vera! Hope all is well. To answer your first question, deactivating a user in Jira Align does not deactivate them in Jira. They would also need to be deactivated in Jira. To answer your second question, if the user in question is an integrated user, meaning they consume a license in Jira and were added…
-
@Michael Stewart Sorry for the delay in response. The System Role for integrated users is only for those that are coming over via the connector as a user from another team tool such as Jira or ADO. They do not require the purchase of a license for team-level access in Jira Align because they are already charged a license…

@Arseny Korotaev We have had this same question before and run it by our Product team. There is nothing at this time that controls that date. In its current state, it will always be the same as whatever is set for the end date of the PI. To help eliminate confusion, you can go into the View Configuration button and change…

@Sedera Randria The Agile at Scale Technical Delivery Professional accreditation is an accreditation that we offer to our Atlassian partners. This is part of a journey for individuals at Atlassian partners to become certified and for Atlassian partner firms to achieve an Agile at Scale Specialization. Along with this comes…

Hey @badong.jm ! You actually do have it configured properly to allow SSO and manual sign in. However, when going to the direct Jira Align URL, all users will be presented with the option to log in with their email. You will need to provide your SSO users with the SSO sign in URL to have them log in via SSO as opposed to…
-
Hey @Hina Tufail ! Yes, it only happens once when the user is initially integrated. Once they make it visible after they are integrated, the Jira Align Admin will need to perform the corrective steps outlined in this article. The External ID field is used for SSO. If SSO is enabled, whatever is in that field should be the…
