Hmm. Ok, plan B... There is a smart value called {{createdIssues}} -- plural. Apparently it aggregates a list of all the issues created in this rule. So... Create all the Epics first. At this point, I would expect the {{createdIssues}} smart value to be a list of all those Epics. Then create each Task, and use a smart…

@Julia You're concern about the last created issue being replaced by the most recently created Task is valid. This is why I suggested saving it in a variable. To create a variable, just use the "Create Variable" action:…

Just create the first Epic, and save that issue off in a variable from the {{createdIssue}} smart value: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/smart-values-general/#Smartvaluesgeneral---createdIssue-- Then create the first Task under that Epic, and use the saved variable to set the "Epic Link" field. This…

To get a list of inactive users, the Jira Cloud REST API call to "Bulk get users" includes a field per-user for "active". https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-users/#api-rest-api-3-user-post I don't see that any of the User related API calls include any "Last Modified" metadata per user…

You do need the "jira-software-users" group. If you enable Jira access for a User, they are automatically added to that group. If you disable Jira access for a User, they are automatically removed from that group. Likewise, if you remove a User from that Group, they will loose access to all of Jira. However, you do not…

Please add a comment describing your use-case to this open Suggestion for improving Jira: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-75009 Also, be sure to Vote for it, and optionally set yourself to Watch it for future updates. _ _ _ Marketplace Apps have a wide latitude in how they present themselves in Jira. I…

Have you emptied the Trash in your Jira? Deleted projects go there first, and "linger". Flushing them from the Trash will probably clear this up for you. Here's how: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/delete-a-project/ Be sure to review the listing to confirm everything that will permanently be…

I assume you have all the Jira and Tempo privs necessary, and that you can see everyone else's time just fine. So to confirm what you're seeing... * You have verified that the user has time logged to some issues in Jira. * Using a Tempo Timesheet "Logged Time" report with "Filter by" set to just this one user shows no time…

A different (native) approach that I've used for this sort of thing is to create a saved Filter with the JQL, or a Confluence page based on such a filter, which necessarily displays the results in a separate browser window or tab. Then I add a new Shortcut to the left sidebar of the Jira project to the Filter results or…

Under "Project settings" on the left, click on "Permissions", and review who has the "Administer Projects" permission (in the Permission Scheme used by this Project). You will need to be in one of the Roles or Groups listed (or specifically listed) to have the "Administer Projects" permission in order to add/remove people…

Strictly speaking, no. A page can only have one parent in Confluence. So page Z cannot be a child of both page A and page D. However, you can use the iFrame macro to embed page Z in page D, and leave page Z as a child of page A. Some pros and cons about using that macro: * It will duplicate the Confluence header and…

Hi @[deleted]. My experience with Tempo Timesheets has been limited to Jira Cloud. If there are some differences with Jira Server, I'm not going to be able to speak to those at all. In general, though, it sounds like you've got the Issue Security working the way you want it in Jira, but that it's not preventing people from…

So "site access", which I interpret to mean "users of your Jira instance", is not the same as having access to a Project in that Jira instance. A user in Jira needs to have access to a Project in order to see the issues in that project, including the roadmap. Each project can have a different set of users who have access.…

You could experiment with free trials of Marketplace apps like this one, or this one, or many others. Maybe there's a free one that will fit your needs. If not, you'll have to evaluate your budget for your custom visualization needs. Maybe someone else has needed to replicate your exact use-case for data presentation, and…

Are the people configured as team members of the Jira Project? For Company-Managed Projects, members are managed under "Project Settings > People". For Team-Managed Projects, members are managed under "Project Settings > Access".

I'm assuming you're referring to the StatusPage product integration. Start in the "Settings" tab in Opsgenie, and click on "Configured Integrations" in the left sidebar. If Statuspage is listed there, click on it. You'll be in the desired page. If Statuspage is not listed as an existing integration, then click on…

Go to page Z and in the 3-dots menu select "Move". Specify page A.

@Alex Koxaras -Relational- had the right idea -- you can Accept his answer too -- he deserves it!
-
Nope! See what I wrote in my answer.
-
I think what @Alex Koxaras -Relational- means is to just use the normal Automation Component to Edit Issue (rather than the More Options / Additional Fields / JSON) method: Using the {{Description}} SmartValue allows you to keep the existing Description and then add more text below it, as illustrated above.
-
I noticed that the documentation specifies Update > Description > Set, whereas your screenshot shows Update > Description > Add. Have you tried changing your JSON from Add to Set, to see if that works?

Sounds like you've just proven that Tempo Timesheets doesn't abide by the Security Level settings for Internal Issues. I recommend connecting with Tempo Support about it: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/6572/tempo-timesheets-time-tracking-reports?hosting=cloud&tab=support These might not be optimal solutions for…

Without more information about your rule, it's hard to make any suggestions for improving it. A screenshot of the rule can help, or at least more details about the automation components you're using and their configuration. If you're trying to aggregate values in an automation variable within a loop, be aware that that…

We'd like to know how this proposed Teams field relates to the Team field in Advanced Roadmaps? The Team field in Advanced Roadmaps is not fully implemented (e.g. it is not available in Automation), and that makes this admin unhappy. I might also recommend covering field disambiguation in the documentation for this new…

Here's what the trigger configuration looks like in the rule above. The Cron expression simply assures that it only runs when triggered manually with the "Run rule" button.

Jira Automation can easily handle this. Here's an example (tested) rule:
