What @Bharathi suggested is a bit simpler than what I wrote. Either one will work.

I think a Roadmaps view could also be configured to show columns for "Original Estimate" and "Time Remaining", which seems like it gets pretty close to the OP request. What I like about using Roadmaps for this is the ability to real-time drill down (or aggregate up) at the Story or Epic (or above) levels. Some assumptions…

There's an approach that might work for you discussed here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Clone-subtasks-with-Jira-automation/qaq-p/1321057

You're in good hands with @Bill Sheboy and @John Funk I'd just add that you might want to review how the math expression syntax works for Smart Values in automation (as documented here). The general format for math expressions is: {{#=}} expr {{/}} Automation can handle this kind of thing well, but the syntax and semantics…

Have you tried something like this? labels in (HUD) and labels in (Design) and labels in (UX) ORDER BY labels ASC

Thanks, that JQL isn't ambiguous or concerning at all. Glad you got it working!
-
You don't list the JQL you are using in the trigger. That's important.
-
I'd recommend using parenthesis around your AND and OR clauses to ensure they are working exactly as you intend. Gripe: The JQL documentation is not clear on this sometimes. I've seen the docs say that JQL is "evaluated left to right" and also that "AND takes precedence over OR". It can't be both. You probably want: status…

Here's an example construct. You'll have to complete it to work like you want: I used a CRON expression in the Scheduled trigger that will never trigger, so I can use the "Run rule" button to test it while I'm developing the rule. The JQL for the trigger finds all the completed Epics, and passes that to the rule. The…

You're right, @Trudy P Claspill, it's not an option. Please, everyone, take a moment and vote for these enhancement requests: * JSWCLOUD-22585 * JRACLOUD-74787

I tried your example in our Jira Server instance, and it seemed to work fine. I updated the Description of an existing issue: * I used the smart value expression you listed in a Log Action: * And I manually invoked the rule on that issue. The result: *

I just tried this in our Jira Server instance: {{issue.key}} has epic {{issue.epic}} named {{issue.epic.Epic Name}} And the result was: SAMP-17 was a Story, SAMP-16 was the Epic above that Story with Epic Name = "Make Coffee". If that's not working in Jira Cloud, I'd call that a bug in Jira Automation. I searched and…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community, Will. I have several responses for you... - - - - - - - If your Jira is using ScriptRunner, then check out the completeInSprint JQL function. It can help identify what issues were completed in a given Sprint. Note that the documentation isn't very helpful about how to actually use this…

There is a different approach to this. Do you truly need to be notified in real-time that something has been added to a closed Epic? If not, then I might suggest a simpler solution. Use a Scheduled trigger that runs, say, at 9am and 2pm weekdays. It runs through all the Epics which are Done in the configured projects, and…

As @Srinatha Tondihal says, you can add Anchor macros to your page for the "destinations" of hyperlinks. Then you can sprinkle hyperlinks in your document allowing users to click on them and jump elsewhere in the page. You may have to save the page (to make the Anchor macros "stick") and then edit the page again in order…

Epic names are a bit odd in Jira. There are sort of two: * The "Summary" field in an Epic is what sometimes shows. * The "Epic Name" field in an Epic shows at other times. A best-practice that I always follow is to set them to the same thing all the time. Then there is no confusion when one field shows here, and the other…

Regarding bullet 2, I'd respond that dependencies between items with start/end dates ARE shown on the timeline. The others are nice suggestions to enhance Advanced Roadmaps in Jira (generally, not just Data Center). However, none of them are supported with Atlassian's current offering of features in Advanced Roadmaps.…

As you've discovered, Draw.io is an easy-to-use drawing tool, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Any object in Draw.io has overall dimensions that you can set exactly. Make sure "View > Format Panel" is enabled in the menus. Then click on the object and then, on the right, click the "Arrange" tab. There you'll be…

You can configure the plan to include and exclude whatever issues you want to see. What I'd recommend is creating a saved and shared Filter that identifies the issues of interest. In your case, you'd want to exclude issues with no Fix Version, so your Filter should contain some JQL like: ... and fixVersion is EMPTY ...…

No. One license is used for each ACTIVE user in your instance, regardless of how many groups or teams or roles that user is configured for. Note that you can deactivate users (without deleting them) to bring your licensed user count down. Deactivating them leaves their data in the system, without costing you a license seat.

Confluence does not currently have any "text snippets" features. Templates in Confluence (as suggested by @SJ) are good for predesigned entire pages - not what you want. There may be a Confluence App in the Atlassian Marketplace that would have this feature. Worth a look. Many have free trials, so you can experiment with…

Seems like you could "upload the CSV as Confluence content" using the Confluence API, specifically with the "content" features: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/rest/api-group-content/ I haven't done it myself, but that's the direction I'd go with this. Without a Marketplace App, I'm not aware of any…

No. The reporter field is a user-selection field. The only values allowed are licensed Jira users. You can, however, add a custom field and use that. If it was a text field, then people could easily enter their name. However, they would also be free to make mistakes or to spell their name differently (e.g. Sam vs Samantha,…

Folks using Jira Server or Data Center may want to check out this related KB article: When the "Days in column" setting is enabled, an incorrect number of dots is displayed in the Sprint cards

Very often, the desire to have required fields comes into play when transitioning issues from one Status to another. In other words: when an issue moves through a part of the Workflow, we want to be sure these fields are filled in. In that case, configuring this on the workflow, as @Marcin Wiktor suggests, is the preferred…

Based on the documentation, the only option for the Users List macro is to list the users in one or more specific Groups. You could submit an enhancement request for Confluence to add this behavior. If Atlassian decides to implement it, it'll probably be months or years (just being realistic here). Another solution might…

If you also have Confluence with your Jira, then when you close a Sprint, Jira will ask you if you want to run a Retrospective right then. If so, it will walk you through using a Retrospective template for a new Confluence page. It looks like this: There are also a variety of Atlassian Marketplace apps (add-ons) for Jira…

I believe this is true for the time estimation fields for Sub-Tasks (estimated, remaining, original estimate), but not for points.
-
Your query is a good way to exclude Sub-Tasks from showing. You can use it on the main board filter, or even as a Quick Filter (to toggle it on/off on the same board). However, I'm pretty sure that pointing Sub-Tasks isn't a thing in Jira. You can do it, but they don't factor into metrics or reports. Sub-Task points do not…
